I am 19 years old planning a backpacking trip to Colorado in the spring, we have all been on other weeklong type trips in the wilderness, and I have even been to the Rockies. "Bits of wizdom" Iv'e learned a vital lesson, worth more then gems or gold, I've learned through tribulations to bend but never fold. Iv'e learned to keep on learning to exersize my mind and search for hidden treasures, that beakon me to find. Iv'e learned to keep on careing for those i prong to flee, and learned to keep on giving for those who turn to me. about 2 months ago, i met up with my mate. we were talking about this guy that i like deeply for three years while i was at uni, and even now having graduated. to fill u in a little i liked him and I'm sure he liked me too. i got a positive vibe from him, like staring, long eye contact,lingering smiles, took my things etc. we were both to SHY and nothing happened in the end.on my part i know nothing could ever happen, as my parents are strict and we are of different cultures,therefore would never approve.and at the time i believed,i'd probably never see him again, and it broke my heart as i like him so intensly and I'm so lonely coz ive never been in a relationship. so me and my mate were talking about this and my culture.. then i said im never going to see him again. and my friend goes u never know what can happen, he may come to ure rescue ..bla bla. and we were sitting next to a phone-box, and we where just joking after the heavy conversation..and i said sarcastically...yeah right like I'm going to see him again..like he is going to pop out of that telephone box! and my friend added..yea u never know..he might come out in a Superman clothes and save you. we laughed... then like about a minute later a man actually walks out from behind the phone box, in a superman tshirt...obviously it wasn't the guy i liked...but the chances of saying some thing like that and then it actually happening is so rare...we were so shocked!!! and proved that anything can happen. then i within those months, i also had a dream, about my dad, who died 7yrs ago. and in the dream we we're driving to the house of the guy i like, (kind of a meet the partents thing) he didnt completely approve of it, but sort of went with it, coz he knew thats what made me happy. then even stranger, my friend met up with one of the guy i like's best friend. and she told me that she moved in with him, and the guy i like. and i asked her how this happened and she said that she was chatting to him telling him she was looking for a place, and he said that he had a spare room and that was it! al this is so strange... could this mean anything? a sign? its was just bizzar...how all this chain of events have unfolded. there was a time where i was so depressed and down. because of this cuture thing, the way this thing with him ended and now all is turning round. inbetween i prayed to god and asked for to let this person be in my life, guide me, lead me.. i care so much about him. and inbetween there were times where i was so angry with god, for making me go through this pain, for careing about him so much for it to lead to nothing...(once he was he had an accedent, and missed about 6months of uni, and i prayed for him to get better) im not overly religious, but i do pray sometimes...my faith and belief has been rocky. so, im beginning to think maybe there is a higher power or something? by the way im not a kid in lala land..im 22 and never really believed in signs...but for once this is too strange to not be one,,now im baffled. does all this mean anything? thanks for answering (more...)

This Saturday, November 8th, from 4:00pm ? 6:00pm ET, Kristi Yamaguchi Family and Friends will be playing on NBC. I checked my TV guide and on my TV, it will be playing at 2pm. I went to the show on Oct. 12 and really enjoyed it, and I want to watch it on TV too. But I will be at ice skating practice on Saturday and won't be home in time. :( Does anybody know if it will be playing any other days or times? It was such an awesome show that I want to watch it again! Resolved Question: Identify a lizard species?
I saw a couple of them when I was in South Africa - one in the Kruger National Park, another in the Drakensberg mountains, both Eastern SA. It was about 9 inches long with the tail. Bright blue head like a blue headed agama but a very bright green body. The guide I was with said it was a Pedioplanis but google doesn't bring up many photos of them so I can't identify the species. I'm certain it was a lacertid, and presumably a rock dweller as on both occasions I saw one it was in a rocky area with few trees. Any ideas? (more...)

Voting Question: Tell me what you think of this?
I wrote it when i was bored...based on personal experiences. Tell me what you think, I don't think its that good. I'm in middle school. Warmth. That?s the first thing I remember about him. It?s as if the entire season of summer is captured in one set of memories, all involving a person. I don?t remember a cold day with him, except the last one. No relationship can be that perfect, except in the movies. I guess I was to preoccupied with him to make much note of the weather. I remember rain, but it was the soft, warm, loving kind. I remember biking through the streets, perched on his rickety bike rack and never having a better ride. The gorgeous rain soaking my hair, making the bangs slide in my eyes. I remember gliding on emotion, the wheels of his bike seeming to turn on happiness. The sky was grey, a soft, welcoming, cuddly grey, sending little rain drops down to me as kisses. Sunny days were beautiful. Thousands of iridescent dragonflies on our little boat, perfect water stretching in every direction. Lying on the green hill, my blond hair fanning away from my face, onto the grass. The rocky shore, holding onto him for dear life as I ventured farther into the cool water and screaming as he splashed me. I remember the tremor of the lochs, as they began to open, and the sensation that the world was opening up and swallowing you. He held my hand as the bridge opened farther, thousands of gallons of water flowing below us, the roar of it closing out all senses but the feel of him holding onto me, reaching me, guiding me. I remember the way he looked at me when I swam, gliding through the perfect pond, every nerve in my body awake to the feeling of the water sliding over and around me, like swimming in satin. His face looked like he could go the rest of his life looking at nothing but me. I remember the way he would look at me, when I curled up by the window in my pajama pants with a cup of tea to watch the sun rise. I remember the way he would talk to me with his friends, even though I knew he would rather die than say I love you in front of them. I remember the way he would hold me, so gently, as if I would break if he held too tight. I remember jumping with him, holding hands, through the last rays of the sun, trying to grasp them, hold them here, trying to keep summer here, pretending like I wouldn?t eventually have to go back. I remember hitting the water together, it closing over my head, and it being so final. This was the last time I would see him. I remember hugging him tight, sitting in the boat wet as a dog, water dripping out of my hair and clothes. It?s weird, but I?ve never thought of this as lake water. To me, it?s always been tears. I wonder how long it will be, before I am not allowed to love someone like that. (more...)
