I have been extremely stressed out lately. I'm currently attend a community college, because its all my grandmother can afford to send me. I live at home with my parents, but they refuse to help my grand mother allow me to get a college education. I know I should feel lucky even being at a college in the first place, , because some of my friends are not going at all. I have a very sweet loving boyfriend, that I've been with for 2 years, March will make it 3. all throughout high school, me and him were inseparable. But now he's going to a college he loves going to, while I'm stuck in a community college hating life. I recently got accepted into a college in Colorado, and after everyone, including my parents got my hopes up, everyone told me I was not able to go, because my grandmother could not pay that much for it, and like I said my parents refuse to help me and her. I'm at the point in my life where I feel like I'm supposed to be having fun at college, and meeting fun new people, and enjoying life, but I have never been so depressed in my life. I'm even starting to feel like leaving my boyfriend, so he wont have to deal with me and my sadness anymore. I dint want to be the one to constantly ruin his day with my problems. Some times I feel like just getting away from all of this, and sometimes I feel like I dont wanna live anymore. My family that I live with also acts like they dont want me around. which is why I planned to go to Colorado in the first place. They do everything without me. everything from simply visiting a relative, to going out to eat or to the movies. They would wait till I have to go to work all day, to go out and have some fun with out me. for once I would just like to go to school with a smile on my face. Is there any advise you can give me so I wont feel so bad? Is there anything I can do to make my life a little better? I'm so tired of crying.... So Josh and I have been best friends for like 3 years now. I'm now going to college in New Orleans, and he stayed home in Colorado to go to school. Back in like September or October he texted me that he was bi. I am totally open about everything, so I didn't give a rats, and he knows that. Also, he knew I had feelings for him, and those feelings continued after he told me he was bi, because I didn't care! I confronted him about it and he led me to believe that we were more than friends. A couple weeks later, he tells me that he's been gay all along and I was the only person that he lied to and said he was bi! He apparently told everyone else except me that he was gay, but he decided to lie to me, his best friend, and on top of that he totally led me on! When I came home for Thanksgiving break I confronted him about it and he got really defensive and was playing the victim and refused to give me a sincere apology. I, valuing our friendship, let it go. It seemed like ever since then we've been pretty much back to normal, but all throughout Christmas break I've barely seen him. All he ever wants to do is go clubbing or go on dates with guys. When I talk to him on the phone or online, we're always talking about boys, and if I try to change the subject, he completely ignores me. He doesn't care about what's going on in my life, he only wants to talk about all the boys he's dating and all the clubs he goes to where he kisses random guys. He has totally changed ever since he came out! I've tried talking to him about it but he just denies everything and is always really rude to me about it. I've cried lots of times about our friendship, and he keeps insisting that I'm just being selfish and all I care about is myself. He seems like he hates being around me because I don't like to talk about boys. His priorities used to be his education and his family, but now his number one priority is to find a boyfriend who will love him. I personally believe that a relationship should not be at the top of a college sophomore's priority list, and I tell him that frequently. I always tell him that I love him unconditionally, but he thinks he needs a relationship to fulfill himself or something, so he pretty much jumps on the opportunity to date every guy who is willing, whether he likes them or not. He gets so mad when I point out how his behavior has changed. I know this is more of a rant than a question, but I am really depressed and frustrated about it all and I would like advice, or maybe even sympathy from someone who has gone through this. I don't bond with people very easily and he is without a doubt the closest friend I have, and I know if I lose him I'll be pretty much alone except for my family. I have other acquaintances, but no one that I enjoy spending time with as much as Josh, and definitely no one who understands me as well as he does. I was approached by a friend in 2005 who was building / selling luxury real estate in Colorado. He had been doing this for several years, and needed investors to fund several new homes for sale. I, along with about 10 other investors gave him money. We put our money into a pot, structured as an LLC. Basically, when the housing market tanked, he couldn't sell the house. Ultimately, the property was foreclosed upon and 10 of the 11 investors were out 100% of their principal. 1 investor, the first principal, was able to pull out his initial investment. My question is this - since this was an investment property, am I able to write this principal off for tax purposes? I assume I am (by assume I mean hope) but I haven't been able to find a definite answer on the IRS website. Would be greatful for any answers or ideas on where to look for answers. Wow. I've got some great responses - thanks all. I just wanted to clarify one earlier question. I was an investor in the LLC, not a partner. The way the contract was structured was that I, and others, loaned the LLC money and we were supposed to see a fixed return on investment. In my case 20%. Last night I got board and I decided to play a trick on a 47 year old man who was offering free room and board to any single women in a time of need on the website, "craigslist.com" in the rooms/shared section. Yeah, I know, you probably think I have too much time on my hands. Think whatever you want to. But this guy sounds a bit like a predator to me. I was just wondering what you guys think I should do next. Hey, if anything I'm having fun with it lol. Hi, my name is Jenna Patrick and I'm 21 years old, just turned 21 actually. I have to say that 2008 was a very rough year for me. I'm really looking forward to a better year in 2009, hopefully : ) I lost my dad to lung cancer in July of 2008 and my mom died when I was 5 years old. I don't really remember her all too well unfortunately. I guess I'm kind of in a bind right now because I can't find an honest and modest job that doesn't require at least a 2 year college degree lol, it really stinks. Michigan's economy seems to be in such a rut right now. I'm pretty close to being broke, it's getting pretty bad. I grew up in Castle Pines North (Colorado) and lived there till I was about 14 years old. After that, my dad moved my brother Wyatt and I to Santa Clarita California for a better paying job. He was never very good to us to say the least, I got mixed up with the wrong crowd, one thing lead to another and I found myself performing in Adult films. I think I did what I had to do in order to get by. After a while, I started feeling a little guilty about my behavior and decided to move somewhere far away from the California scene. I was getting tired with it all. One of my previous managers who I worked for in California has been harassing me on the phone to the point that I had to change my number. He says that I still owe him $23,680 dollars, at the time that I was in his movies, he said that the extra money was mine to keep. I think he's just mad because I won't shoot for him any more. I hope you don't think that I'm a bad person or anything for liking sex, I just don't think that I'm in the right frame of mind for shooting films right now, that's why I needed a change and moved to Michigan with my girlfriend Kat. Her full name is Katsumi but everyone calls her Kat. She has been in some films with me too. Hey, I guess all I'm saying is that I could use a place to stay for a while with a nice guy. Me & my guy were together for about 10 mths. We hit it off instantly, chemistry was crazy. I came up pregnant 3 mths into our relationship, I freaked out and got an abortion very early in the pregnancy. He was dissapointed along with his family. I felt soo guilty and regreted it everyday ever since! A few mths later we were having a serious convo and we talked about moving in together eventually and having a baby. Im 22 my guy is 31...he was married to his sons mother but left her a few yrs ago.. he said bc she was crazy jealous. I never took guys serious with kids but I made an exception for him bc the ex and his son lived in the west coast(colorado). Anyhow, I told him I had trust issues with him and he beggd 4 me to trust him. I let my guards dwn and we planned my pregnancy and I was gona start school again nxt mth. He had plans to go away with his family for thanksgivin, his mom invitd me but I wasn't up 4 the 18 hr drive with his wholee entire family so I passed. We spent the whole week together b4 he left, he didn't want me to go home. We both had holiday vacation so I stayed and helped him get ready for his trip then went on my way. I was even nice enough 2 take his dogs while he was away like I've done in the past when he leaves. While he was gone I found out I was preg and was actually happy! When he came back he was like a different person. After I told him I was preg i fnd out he was layed off and some1 crashd his car while he was gone! The same day I told him bout the pregnancy he said it was over! I was sooo confused and traumatizd so I went to his house the nxt day to speak to him and pick up my things and he wldnt open the door...he called the cops on me when all I was doing was knocking!! I cryed soo much that night my face was swollen days after. He had the nerve 2 ask if I was ok the nxt day and then that we aren't going to work! The following week he deposited 500 to get an abortion and told me to 'just let him be'. It's been a few weeks and I decided I cldnt go thru w anothr abrtion especially after planin it so im keeping it and having to move out the state to be w my family. He makes really gd money so if it comes dwn 2 child support I knw ill be good but Im devastated someone cld do this but im more confused... I textd him b4 new yrs that we needed to speak hoping he came 2 his sensus..and no response... Btw..he was the first 1 to tell me he was falling in love with me a few mths into our relationship.
