I am currently at an office where there is a corporate backroom that helps our office on a daily if not hourly basis. The corporate company is the business owner's partner. I really like the office I work in and my boss and the other therapist are great. I just cannot stand the backroom head honcho, who I have to deal with on the phone everyday. I have been pissing her off, and she has me on probation, but I need her to let me go very soon(within a week or two), because I have a job offer. My other worker knows I am leaving and suggests that I have her make the move, and that it is prob not good if I put in my notice, it'd be better if I were let go in terms of relationship between my office boss and I. Anyone have any ideas that aren't outrageously disrespectful to the boss I do like? BTW the partners are based in WI, so all correspondence is done through e-mail and phone calls Oh yes and I'm on a 3 month temp-to-hire status. I'm not even officially an employee To PJ, I would need the reference from my in office boss, not the Wi office, if I give in my 2 weeks notice, that will prompt him to not give it to me in the future. Believe me I was going to give in my notice, but my co-worker who has seen many people come and go advised against it. Apparently my boss is big on grudges. Either way I get a bad reference, but yeah never been fired from a job, so I should keep that statement true. Thanks for the advice! (more...)

Here's the deal- I'm planning my wedding all on my own, my family, 90% of fiance's family & entire wedding party is all out-of-state and will be arriving 1 day before the wedding. That means we will be very hectic at the last minute and I'd feel very guilty doling out jobs to people like being at the reception site to make sure my centerpieces are setup right, hanging out for the cake delivery, distributing the flowers when they arrive, etc etc etc. So I am going to meet with a planner with the hopes of hiring her for "day of" planning. Basically, be there and check that things are the way I want them since I can't be in 3 places at the same time. I'll find out fees and such when I meet her, she did say it would be a flat fee (she is looking to cut breaks in exchange for recommendations she can post on her website so I'm hopeful I can afford her). Has anyone dealt with a 'day of' planner? What was your experience - good/bad? What would you have done differently? How did you handle things when you didn't have family that could help you? And if anyone has experiences with planners in the Harrisburg, PA area I'd love recommendations! (more...)

I mean I've had to deal with people who got so petty that they couldn't even take a myspace deny friend request and get all bent out of shape over it. Some people just can't handle a no, or rejection or negativity, and they have to lash out. Don't they understand that it's not all about them, and that they can't have everything they want, and a "yes" isn't what they're always going to get? I'm sorry I just personally have no idea why some people get this way. How do you handle them? I mean for real, some people are so pushy, needy, manipulative and when I feel these "loser" like qualities,...I immediately get pissed off and shun them, at which they get negative. My god. I fell on some ice on Sunday.. landed hard on my bum, left hand and heel of right foot (sneaker flew off it was so fast..) Have no idea if that has anything to do with it.. my heel and hand hurt that night, Monday and was mild on Tuesday. However on Tuesday, my left shoulder to tricep was VERY sore. In some positions it hurt a lot. I figured I slept on it or somethng but this lasted for until today Thursday. For the most part, its completely gone. But.. now, the same exact pain is on my right shoulder! Minus the tricep area. Sorry but what the hell? I have to deal with this again for the next three days? Could I really just be sleeping on it? I havent changed a thing about the way I sleep and havent lifted anything heavy. Any ideas what could be causing this? I had some chest pain a couple weeks ago that lasted about two weeks then went away.. (more...)

know I post this alot, I just need every opinion possible bc I have no one else to talk to about this. Warning: It's long. =( I'm in love with my best friend who?ve I've known for a couple years. We're both 20. We mainly go for guys but are open to experimenting or whatever with girls. Although I don?t think it should be called that since we both have quite a bit of ?experience? under our belts with girls. She actually had a ?girlfriend? for a few months in high school but never anything after that. I?ve never told her I was in love with her flat out. My other friend of 10+ yrs knows I?m obsessed with her, but I do not fully admit it to her either. So if an outsider can tell, I?m thinking my best friend can also. She has said comments during drunken arguments such as "why are you so obsessed with me." I think she has an idea because I?m put in many situations where it?s hard to hide how I feel. An example is being in a room with her making out with a guy and I?ll like make a face or something, and she?ll notice it. Or we'll be having fun hanging out and she'll mention how she wants a boyfriend and I'll get really quiet and she'll ask what's wrong. So part of me thinks she knows how I feel and part of me is not sure. We both casually sleep with guys on the regular. I don't even know why I do because all I do is think about her. I blatantly get jealous. Sometimes it just hurts so bad I feel like it?s impossible to bury it. Anyways, we?re as close as can be, see each other almost everyday, and behave like a ?couple? sometimes. We have slept together, but we were always ?drunk" and it hasn't happened in a little OVER a year. We hold hands, cuddle, all that kind of sh*t that does nothing but confuse things. We also "joke" about how we're going to get married. She said to me about a month ago "we both know that deep down inside we love each other like that." I didn't say much back, maybe I should've. Everyone thinks we're in love with each other...yeah I wish it was that easy. Lately, she?s being lying to me about hanging out with certain guys. I always bust her on the lie because we?re on the same phone plan and sometimes I look at it online. Like, if she leaves my house after we just hung out and watched TV or something, I can see that the second she got in her car, she called some guy on the way home and talked to him for an hour. Stuff like that breaks my heart. (Sick huh?) She told me yesterday when we were talking about the lying that she does it because I pick apart the guys and talk badly about them which makes her feel like a scumbag. She also said that "I've kicked alot of people out of her life." I know me being in love with her plays a role in my opinion of her love interests but anyone can clearly see that these guys are losers. I'm honest and I don't want her to cling to whatever trash comes along. She's extremely pretty and I think this is all the guys see. I love her for who she is and all the silly gross habits she has not just because of how she looks. The guy she confessed to "really starting to to like" is your sterotypical possessive loser with nothing going for him expect smoking pot all day long. I don't know why she's attracted to these losers when I could give her the world. He's really up her butt and i'm afraid that she make him her boyfriend soon! The thought of it is killing me, I didn't sleep all night. I asked her why she liked him and she said "he makes me laugh." Big f-ing deal so do clowns, you don't go dating them! I'm not sure what to do. Should I just back off and hope for the best even though it will kill me? LIke for one, stop looking at the damn cell phone records, stop showing my jealousy, and let her be. If she so desires to hang out with all these loser guys in their smelly apartments and sleep with them and even possibly BE WITH THEM then so be it? Maybe try not to be so needy and clingy. I'm hoping that one day she will wake up and realize that I?m the best thing that has ever came into her life. Right now she's so busy with the lying and pushing me away and telling me what I want to hear, that maybe she can't really see how I clearly feel. I?m still going to hang out with her as frequently as we do now, because I could never deal with not seeing her. I just mean that in the situations that make my heart sink to my feet (which I'm sure there are many to come), I?m going to put on my best ?poker face? although it will hurt like hell. Do you think this method is better than the pathetic needy ""love me love me" one I've been using now? I know it sounds do-able in print but HOW DO I DO THIS?? How do you be best friends with someone you are madly in love with?? To all the people complaining about my multiple posts: I do appriciate all input. There is a guy from work that i have liked for awhile. We are good friends & i think he likes me. He flirts w/me constantly, i catch him staring at me a lot & when i catch him, he doesn't look away. He knows when something is bothering me & tries to make me feel better. He teases & picks on me like you have no idea. We spent new years eve together & before he left he hugged me (which i was the only one that got a hug) & when he hugged me he said "my nipples are rubbing against you". He is a dork like that. Whenever he walks by me he says the randomest things to get my attention, like the other day he came up behind me. When i looked at him he shook his head & said those damn lesbians, & then just walked away. It is stuff like that, wierd but funny stuff that makes me laugh. Lately he has been finding reasons to touch me. Sometimes when we are picking on each other we will just look at each other for a few seconds. One of these times, i am just gonna grab his face & kiss him. He has trust issues but i know he trusts me cuz he made a comment to someone else that they could trust me. We have a great time whenever we are together cuz we constantly try to annoy one another. We also have little play arguments quite often. Here is the thing though, he never calls me. Wouldn't he call me if he liked me. We sometimes text back & forth but its because i have started it. Sometimes when i text him, i don't even get a reply. For example...i told him monday that me & a couple people were going to the bar tonight. I didn't know where or when. He said to let him know, i said ok, he said sounds likes a deal. Well last night i found out where we were going so i text him to tell him & i never got a reply. Also i have been pretty sick lately, in and out of the hospital, & he hasn't called me to see how i am feeling. Everytime he sees me he asks me if they have figured out what was going on, but he never calls to ask. I told him Sunday i had a scope on Tuesday & he said to let him know how it went. Why do i have to let him know, he has my number too. I just don't get it. Is it a guy thing? Or does he not likes me, what gives. And no he is not just a flirt. He doesn't act like this towards other girls. He is a great guy. Cute, smart, gentleman, funny, nice, all around good guy that mom and dad want their daughter to find. (more...)
