Open Question: Would I make it to Columbia University?
I am a senior now and I am the captain of the mock trial team and have been in it for 4 years now. I am the leader/founder of a social justice group at my school for 3 years already. I re-founded the speech club at my school and am now the leader of it for 3 years already. I have been volunteering at a homeless shelter located in downtown L.A. (skid row) for 6 years now. I have a gpa of 4.43 and have taken about 5 a.p's. I am the captain of the track team at my school and I am applying under the early decision program. I think my essay is superb, but I am known to be overconfident sometimes. I am trying to enter their school of Political science. I also have a family member whom graduated from georgetown univ. Open Question: Problem in c++ Please Help!?
I'm trying to practice my basic programming skills. I'm new in c++ programming. I thought of writing a simple program in c++ where I can record the daily events in my life(a diary-like) program. My program contains string function "strcmp()", If and Else and the use of "Switch and Case." My question is, Is it possible for me to put "switch and case" inside the body of "If and Else"? Do I need to use some "loops" for the password?

Open Question: Java problem with arrays?
Whilst working on my program, I am having a bit of a problem in terms of setting my array up correctly.
What I want to happen is for people to be able to book tickets, which they can but for each time the seat number to increase going from 1-4 luxury class and 5-10 exectutive class, however at present with luxury the only seat numbers issued are: 1 and 4 and with exectutive only seat 1 can be booked, without getting array index out of bounds exception.

Open Question: Java assignment-help/advice needed!?
I am currently working on the following assignment: CCNJets has commisioned you to create a ticket booking system for an aircraft (4 luxury class seats and 6 exectutive class seats).
On start up the program must display a welcome message and a suitable menu.
The software must be able to do the following:
Keep track of seating to show availability and allow bookings.
When a seat is sold the program displays an on screen ticket showing: seat class, seat number and customer name.
The program must continue untill all seats are sold or the exit option is made.
When all seats are sold an appropriate message must be displayed followed by the program exiting automatically.

Open Question: What should I do? Extremely concerned....?
I'm 36 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. They've stopped labor 3 times already and given me steroid shots to hasten her lung development. I had been having contractions every 10 minutes for 2 months straight before they changed to every 5-7 minutes about 2 weeks ago. The docs think that that is just my baseline now and other than monitoriing me a little more closely (twice weekly instead of once), they are not that concrened.
Now, what has me so concerned is today I went to the bathroom and had bloody urine. It didn't freak me out too awfully bad because I had that often with my son due to having a constant UTI that didn't respond to antibiotics. However, I still called L&D because if it is a UTI I know I need to be started on antibiotics. While talking to the floor nurse giving her my info she asked me if I had had any abdominal trauma today, which my son overheard and piped up saying that I had slammed the breaks on the car to prevent getting sideswiped. I had completely forgotten about that. We were on our way home from getting dinner, driving through my subdivision (25 mph limit) when a pickup truck blew the ONLY stop sign doing atleast 50. I was just entering the intersection when he came barrelling through and therefore I slammed the breaks to prevent beign hit. My seatbelt did "lock" but I didn't jerk forward and didn't feel any pain because of the slow speed I was doing. It was when I got home after that (about 5 minutes later) that I first noticed blood in my urine. The nurse asked the doc on call and they said to put on a pad wait an hour and if I was still bleeding. the baby stopped moving or my water broke to come back in. Their answer kinda ticked me off because I specifically told them that the blood was only in my urine, I was not actually bleeding from down there. Anyways, I had bloody urine for the next 4-5 times I went and now nothing. No blood, crystal clear urine. Which makes me wonder if maybe instead of a UTI, it had something to do with the seatbelt.
Should I call L&D back and talk to them? Should I just relax and wait until my regular appointment on Wednesday morning and ask my doc or should I do something else? If it was just me I'd not be worried, but I don't want anything to be wrong with my baby girl
To Ash. I understand where you are coming from with your comment, but the baby is fine ( or was at my last check up) the medical issues, with the exception of today's worries have all been due to a medical problem with ME, not my daughter. I have an incompetant cervix, uterine prolapse, PCOS and a few other issues that are making this a difficult pregnancy for me. All except for the PCOS were not diagnosed until after I found out I was pregnant.
As of my last appointment the only "risk" to the baby was preterm labor, which I also had with my son, but I've already carried my daughter longer than I did with him and all tests have stated that she is completely healthy and developed. The only concern I have now is if the seatbelt somehow did something to hurt me that could possibly hurt her.

When these 60,000-70,000 FULL FUNCTIONAL human beings are created from the blob, do they truly deserve their own new, separate lives from that point onward? It's an ethical conundrum to be sure, and one that will be explored in a future issue.
