Open Question: Writing and Balancing word and chemical equations?
I have already done 25 of these questions but I am having trouble with 5 of them Whats the word and chemical equation and what is it when its balanced...? 1.Aresentic3 chloride and hydrogen sulfide react to produce arsenic 3 sulfide and hydrogen chloride 2. Sodium carbonate and phosphoric acid react to produce sodium phosphate and water plus carbon dioxide. 3. When water us added to liquid silicon tetrachloride the result is that solid silicon dioxide and hydrogen chloride gas are produced. 4. Metallic zinc reacts with a solution of lead2 nitrate. Solid lead metal is formed together with a solution of zinc nitrate 5. Propane gas (C3H8) was burned to keep warm. When is burns it reacts with oxygen gas to produce carbon dioxide gas and water vapour. Thanks for any help :) (more...)

Resolved Question: Is anyone good at writing or naming chemical formulas?
I'm having a tough time in chemistry. I think I have it right, though. I wrote my answers down, so correct me if I'm wrong. I may have a few blank spots. dinitrogen hexabromide N2Br6 ammonium carbonate NH4CO3 potassium phosphide KPO3 mercury (II) acetate HgC2H3O2 phosphoric acid HP copper (I) sulfate CuSO4 iron (III) permanganate Fe3MnO4 calcium hydroxide CaOH carbon tetrachloride CCl4 barium sulfide BaS Identify each as 'I' for ionic, 'M' for molecular, or 'A' for acid, then write the name. Prefixes are used when naming molecular compounds. Roman numerals are used to designate the __________ of most transition metals. CaO- M Calcium oxide MG(OH)2- M Magnesium dihydroxide CuC2H3O2- M Copper (i) acetate HgF2- M Mercury (I) flouride H3N- A Trihydrogen nitride Ba3(PO4)2- M Tribarium diphosphate NO3- I Nitrate Cl2O- M Dichlorine oxide (NH4)2S- M Diammonium sulfide H2SO4- A Dihydrogen sulfade This is all realllly confusing, so could someone help me step by step?
