Ok, so I am a 24 year old female. I am 5'9 and 220lbs. I am built sort of muscular, and my weight is a little more distributed. Im not obese, but sort of chubby. I am aiming to lose 40lbs by July. I am wondering if you think this is feasible means to do so. For breakfast I have been eating either a protein bar or drinking a protein shake on my way to work. During my break I have been eating an apple or some cherry tomatoes. For lunch I have been having either a lean cuisine or a turkey sandwich on whole wheat or multi-grain with lettuce, tomato and mustard, no cheese For a mid day snack I have been having some sort of veggies, fruit or non fat yogurt. And for dinner I have been having whatever is being fixed at home, my mom has been making a lot of stuff from the weight watchers cook book, or ill have a lean pocket, or lean cuisine if dinner is not being fixed. I drink plenty of water through out the day. As for exercise I will be swimming for an hour 3 times a week, doing about a half hour of weights and resistance 4 times a week and trying to work in a half hour on the stationary bike. So given this information, do you think I will be able to drop 40lbs in 6 months? (more...)

Now while all you gents may be recoiling in defence-pose I should say that this is based on years of irritable teeth-gnashing observation and is definitely a male phenomenon. Some even stand at end of packing area and watch the wife pack and only when teller announces total does the right hand snake into the jacket inside pocket and with great deliberation peel off bills. Six people in the queue behind, I have my recycling bags all opened out in the cart and my store-card and credit-card in my right hand and can even tap both feet, chew my upper lip and give enormous sighs at the same time. This is superceded however by the (thankfully becoming rarer) female who waits until the bill is totalled before getting out the cheque-book and filling in the cheque-stub in longhand (for personal record) FIRST at GREAT personal risk if I am standing nearby with steam strangely coming out of my ears. While I am probably at the opposite end of the scale in not wanting to delay anyone and sending my blood-pressure to where the bell rings as a result of multi multi-tasking in a lunch-hour I don't believe that these people can be excused by being seen as calm and mellow and relaxed when to my mind they are selfish-SELfish-SELFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
