Krups FEM2B 2-Slice Toaster, Black & Silver

Outfitted for a wide range of toasting preferences, this Krups two-slice toaster is versatile and easy to control. At 1050 watts, it is also a powerful countertop machine, so operation is quick and efficient, whether you are toasting a round of blueberry bagels or warming a croissant. The toaster features two extra-wide slots with a three-level position lever that simplifies toast removal. Eight dial-controlled browning settings range from very light to very dark, while a defrost function thaws bread before crisping it. The handy bagel function toasts only the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the crust, and a nonstick removable warming rack on top handles muffins and pastries. A cancel button interrupts any function immediately.
Sturdy and practical in design, the toaster features cool-touch housing to protect hands. The crumb tray and warming rack are both dishwasher-safe, and the helpfully mounted control panel is made of metal. Though no slim model, the unit easily earns its counter space with its broad applications. It measures 7-1/2 by 11 by 8 inches and carries a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Quelqu'un M'a Dit

Originally best-known as an Italian-born model who had affairs with Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton, Bruni has matured into a remarkably talented and self-possessed singer-composer-guitarist. Her debut album, sung mostly in French, could best be described as neo-chanson. Bruni's whispery, wobbly, husky voice, wryly deadpan delivery and introspective lyrics recall Francoise Hardy, Barbara, Jane Birkin and Nico. But unlike her forebears, who so often posed as waif-like child-women and doormat-like victims of passion, Bruni remains firmly on top. Her lyrics can and do celebrate true love but she also praises the delights of female sexual empowerment in no uncertain terms, as on
J'en Connais ("I've Known A Few"). Musically, the tunes range from folk
Français to echoes of
le jazz hot to bluesy torch numbers. The spare, mostly acoustic instrumentation is unfussy and atmospheric, while the I-couldn't-care-less ambience is occasionally punctuated by chimes, insouciant whistling or an impudent, sly giggle. --

Appalachian Journey

With the help of some friends (James Taylor and Alison Krauss lend some vocal support), the trio of Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, and Mark O'Connor have created yet another fascinating hybrid of chamber music and bluegrass. This follow-up to 1996's
Appalachia Waltz is filled with highly lyrical string passages, a homage or two to Copland, and plenty of tracks where Meyer's bass vamps with the best of them. This is reflective (and relaxing) music, lacking the intricate structure of classical music and the rough edges of folk. But, boy, is it catchy! Yo-Yo Ma fans may be disappointed to hear that--aside from the gorgeous "Duet for Cello and Bass"--the cellist takes more of a supportive role on this disc. Still, this is fun music, more intimate than
Short Trip Home (Meyer's
other crossover project for Sony), but still lively (just check out "1B" or "Caprice for Three").

National Geographic's Really Wild Animals: Amazing North America

In this
Really Wild Animals video, Spin, an animated globe voiced by Dudley Moore, leads viewers on an exploration of the varied continent of North America. Music videos such as the opening "I've Gotta Be Wild" are prevalent throughout and combine wonderful nature photography with themes like an animal's need to hunt and humans' effect on animals and their habitats. Spring's arrival inspires Spin to glance at the "meanest hombre of all," the ground squirrel. Chuckle as you will, then watch this clever critter outsmart a rattlesnake! Next is the first of several reoccurring "Meet the Beavers" segments and then a look at how woodpeckers and starlings survive the 105-degree temperatures of the Sonoran Desert. In a summer visit to the Okefenokee Swamp, Spin interviews a biologist who studies alligators by climbing right into the swamp! In stark contrast is the breathtaking footage of white wolf pups frolicking in the frozen tundra of Ellesmere Island. The onset of autumn finds polar bears making their annual visit to the East Coast town of Churchill. The townspeople's preparations are detailed, there's a music video featuring bears foraging in the dump, and we watch one photographer's daring attempts to get close-up shots of these amazing bears. As winter settles in, Spin focuses on a group of people helping an abandoned black bear cub find an adoptive mother. This fact-filled video features a combination of beautiful nature photography and appealing music videos that is sure to captivate your child.

Open Question: Is Yukka.co.uk a credible online clothing shop?
I was looking at a hoodie (http://www.yukka.co.uk/Marc-Ecko-Star-Wars-Real-Trooper-Hoody-Glacier-pr-22346.html), after having seen it on the North America only official Ecko website.
Thing is, the price looks too good to be true. It's at least, after conversion, £10 or £20 under RRP. The RRP was $98.
