Advanced thanks for your kind help. Honest ans please..... Dear all, I started my photography career at the age of my 6. It was too early for photography. My first camera was Canon FX. It was very heavy. Many years ago I could not hold the camera in the proper way. But I never spoil it. My father gave me silent support. My father was a learned photographer. He finished his photography lesson from Singapore Fuji Film and never take it as a profession. Most of the time I shoot silly pictures. I count days because I receive one film per month. I only have 26 snaps for one month. The roll finishes within three to five days. I feel so thrilled before I wash the photos. I took a picture of every single thing; even empty cigarette packet. I believe everything has a language. I believe everything is alive around me. I love to speak with every single thing. Here, my language is photography. I took my father photography books and turned page after page. I tried to understand the meaning of the technique. If I saw any nice picture I tried to cut off the page and I would go back home with it. Still, I have many scrap books that are full with many types of picture. After a few years, I feel that I can take it as a hobby. And my father started to teach me photography. Hours and hours I stood by myself with my father's camera. I only wanted to shoot a nice picture. On that time I learned how to take pictures in a proper way. You have to consider the light, aperture, focus, framing, and color balance. Photography is a perfect combination of arts and science. I learned also that every color has a temperature and wave. Most of the things comes with math. So it was little bit boring too. I wanted to learn to take pictures in the sky, which was full of stars (without using flash), rainy time pictures, and the perfect emotion that is called the frozen moment. I tried my best. At the age of 14, I bought my first camera. At the age of 18, I bought my first digital camera. Finally, I feel that, I am so lucky because I started my photography with a manual camera. Now, I feel it is very easy to take pictures. After one year, I got my first DSLR. I felt I got the star. Here I would like to thank the people who gave me the first state of the art digital experience, and she is my mother. I am also very lucky because I was born in Bangladesh. It?s a county of six seasons. Every seasons has a special color and smell. Each year, this country changes its face six times. It's a natural blessing for all the photographers of Bangladesh. Moreover, you have both hills and seas. Our heritage is very famous. People are very good and simple. It?s a very interesting country. Finally, I'd like to thank many friends who give me continuous support and tolerate my picture-taking. I would like to thank Peter Moris for his criticize and negative comments. I thank him because it helped me learn. He taught me almost everything there was to know about photography. I now know a lot. I will keep my word. Smile and good wishes for all. I've read somewhere that taking landscape pics using an aperture like f/13-f/16 and focusing a third of the way into the frame is better (Keeps the foreground sharp) than using f/22 and having infinity focus. My class went to "WACK! a feminist exhibit" we chose a work that we admired and we were asked to do a digital photo project on the artwork. we were supposed to make something similar to the artwork, or come up with something new that the artwork inspired. I chose an artwork by suzy lake and it's about 50 frames of a woman putting make up on. My understainding is that women spend so much time just to meet the public's expectations and sometimes women are still looked lowly upon even when they try. So i took a few shots my mom washing the dishes, sweeping the floor, and putting on make up to kind of show how much work women go through while most men just sit around, drink beer, but they are looked highly upon even when they do not try. I am now stuck, i have about 5 photos of my mom, what should i make them into to show feminism, or is there anything that i can add to it? i can't take anymore pictures because it"s 10:30 pm here in vancouver and folks are asleep (more...)

Ok. So basically, I shoot skateboarding, but mostly with borrowed equipment. I'm thinking about buying a Canon 40D which has 8 Mega Pixels, and Shoots 6.5 frames per second. My friend offered to sell me his Canon 5D which has 21 mega pixels, but only shoots 3.9 frames per second. So am I better off with lower image quality and a higher chance of getting the perfect shot, or a much higher quality image with a smaller chance of getting the shot? Thanks. (more...)
