    Resolved Question: Suggestions for replacing a defective Rival Crockpot?
    I've had it with defective Rival crockpots. I've read some reviews, looked at features, and still can't decide. I need it to be 6 quarts, and have high, low and warm settings at least. I'm also looking to spend less than $40 - and if it's sold on amazon.com that's a plus. Should I do round or oval - or does it really matter? I do roasts in the crockpot as well, and the current one is oval. CookingKay1955: That link doesn't work - but I found it on a search, even on amazon for less than $45 with S&H. That sounds great! Eatmie: Your response DOES NOT answer my question. You're entitled to your opinions, but I don't think too much of them. Please don't bother to email me either. The purpose of a crockpot is manyfold. It can be so a person doesn't have to heat up their home by using a hot oven. It can be so a person can have a soup or stew cooking while not even home. I would NEVER trust the opinion of anyone who considers Banquet frozen dinners food, let alone edible. I also don't drink anything that comes in 6 packs, so go pick up the cans you dropped, and guzzle another one. Crockpots can also help save energy for some people. I asked for recommendations, not slow cooker bashing. If you don't agree with something, don't answer it - but don't bother trolling. Don't get a swelled head over the thumbs up.     Resolved Question: New crockpot/slow cooker?
    Hi. I have this Rival 3 Quart Oval Slow Cooker that someone gave me but it seems to cook things way too fast. (My poor roast got burnt after 3 hours.) Even my mom said the same thing when she used it. (And, no, we didn't have it on a high setting.) Can anyone recommend a better slow cooker or at least some advice on why my stuff is being burnt?
