Hippy Gourmet - in Tuscany, Italy at Restaurant La Grotta!
Hippy Gourmet - in Tuscany, Italy at Restaurant La Grotta! We travel to Restaurant La Grotta, which means cave in Italian. This restaurant is literally built inside a Tuscan hill where the main dining area is a natural cave! We are warmly welcomed by Ivio Paperini who is the owner and chef of this family run trattoria. Ivio makes us a traditional Tuscan soup consisting of Pinto Beans and Bread, layered in a bowl of absolute heavenly flavors. In this episode we also meet Natasha from Podera la Capella winery, who shares some of her family's most distinctive red wines. Later we enjoy the home made dessert of liquor soaked cookies and cream, very much like a Tiramisu. La Grotta is just an outstanding restaurant that serves up a whole lot of love! The Hippy Gourmet learns how to cook in a cave!

Open Question: I Feel sick when I dine out with food - do I have an eating disorder?
Heya, I am not sure if I have an eating disorder. I can be really hungry, but as soon as I go somewhere to eat food I simply lose my apetite and do not want to eat anything. When I try to eat it i can only manage a few mouthfuls and I get nauseous. Like I can not eat much food all day and I'll go to a restaurant for dinner and I'll only manage a few mouthfuls. I have absolutely no problem getting takeaway and eating at home - and I eat well with home cooked meals. It is as soon as I go and dine out that I do not feel hungry. Look forward to hearing from your answers. Please let me know. Regards, ---Update--- Thanks for your responses about the disorders. When you talk about seek professional advice - I am unsure what professional advice there is. Are you talking General Practicioner or an actual psychiatrist? Thanks for your quick responses! Open Question: Everyone's looking at me?
I was at the air port a few days back and i felt as if everyone was staring at me. I always get this feeling whether im dining at a restaurant or any public place. I dont know whether it is just my thoughts or whether they are actually looking. I hear them whistling as well. Then my face turns in to something that looks as if im scared. I try very hard to cover this but i cant. And i end up doing stupid things like taking cover behind a wall so that no one can stare or do thing like wipe my forhead or turn to a side and etc. I find it very hard when im in public places. I cant stand or sit still in one possition because i feel like i look weird to others. Why am i like this? What should i do about it? ps. dont tell me to see a counselor or take mediactions, i need a practical solution that i can try on me own (more...)

Open Question: Restaurant in houston for small party?
I'm looking for a restaurant in the Houston area with private or semi private dining for a party of 16. It's actually for a small wedding reception, but there won't be anything wedding-y about it, so I don't necessarily even have to tell them that. I'm looking to spend less than $25 pp, and we are all non-drinkers, so that should help a lot. Any suggestions? I would especially love somewhere that can rent a dvd projector and projection screen. Thanks! (more...)

Open Question: Where can I find asian Noren Style curtains at a discount?
I need a pair of short door curtians. You know the kind they have in Japanese restaurants separating the kitchen from the dining room? They ususally only go down about 1/2 the length of the doorway and are split up the center. Here is a website than has them but check out the prices... ouch!! http://www.jlifeinternational.com/houseitems/noren/JLNR17.html Does anyone know of a website that may have this type of curtain for cheap? Open Question: What do all of you think of this?
My hubby just found out yesterday that he has to go to Italy, France, and Ireland (all in one week) for work in a couple weeks. I'm freaking out about this because I really feel left behind. I feel that this sort of travel should be done together as a couple, not for work and separately. I think there are certain experiences that are important to share-global travel being a big one. I worry that with him traveling like this, he will grow in a way that I can't relate to and his experiences with me and also just me as a person will seem very average and dull to him while his experiences through work will be where he is enriched and fulfilled and gets to grow personally from it--without me. His company wines and dines their employees and he'll be off in Europe staying in fancy hotels and eating in five star restaurants while I am just waiting around our average house and waiting for him to come home to our average life. I know it sounds immature, I know this, but I just worry that this allows him to grow and experience things that I can't even relate to and that I won't be growing with him. We have traveled to France and to Portugal and Mexico together, but Italy was at the very top of our list of places to go together as a first time experience together. What do all of you think?
