Resolved Question: Colorado Avalanche player Joe Sakic is out for 3 months because of a hand injury sustained during a freak ?
snowblower accident at his home in suburban Denver. First off, are you freaking kidding me here? He has been in the league for 20 years. He's 39 and has made a total of 88 million dollars in his career. Why in the hell would he have to be out snowblowing his own driveway? With that kind of money in the bank that he's made? There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for his actions/accident. In my opinion, he shouldn't even be paid for the next 3 months, do you agree with me? He can afford to hire guys to plow or shovel his driveway. He shouldn't have been doing this himself. How do you think the Avalanche will do when both Sakic and Milan Hejurk retire likely in the next few seasons? For me it's a tough call for me to make when there both gone eventually. Think they will still be good or do you think that's win they will start to lose abunch of games. (more...)

Resolved Question: Colorado Avalanche can't seem to score at the moment?
What's with the Avalanche right now. I mean they can't seem to score. Think there get there scoring touch back or do you think they will struggle all year. Oh and think they will still have a winning record at the end of the season or do you think this may be there first losing season? I think personally the division there in and with so many younger teams improved. I think with the age they will have trouble making it into the postseason. And think Garnato is a bad coach? If Joe Quinville was there coach this year think they be in a different situation? Too me with Hejurk aging and getting slower and Sakic near the end of his career and since they have finished high for so long and traded many draft picks for star players. I say in the next season or 2 from now they may finally be looking at a long painful rebuilding road ahead of them. (more...)

Joe Sakic was out with injury last night for Colorado's contest against Vancouver. At 39 years young, the Avs captain is dealing with a bad back that will almost certainly leave him with the painful option of ending his Hall Of Fame career. That being said, has Sakic led one of the most underrated NHL careers? Marcel Dionne had the misfortune to have been a member of lousy Red Wings and Kings teams most of his career (as well as a couple stinker years with the Rangers). The man was a consistent point producer irregardless what his team did during the regular season. This hockey fan holds Dionne in a very high regard. (more...)
