Open Question: My Brother Is a Bum, Please, Please Help?
I am beginning to lose any respect that I have had for my brother.
We live at home with my mother.
He is 20, he works but never has money to get to work. Everyday I cringe knowing he is going to knock on my door and ask if I have change on me. With a guilty conscious I always say yes, always. Just today I gave him $4 which I should have kept.
When he?s around you are bound to hear, ?Can I eat this?? I?ll buy you some more or ?Do you have some change? I?ll pay you back. And he ak\lways forgets to pay back, but if you were to ask him for the money he would give it to you.
He asks my mother if he could eat her food and she is diabetic, so he goes through her food. I feel bad because like me she doesn?t say no, when she should. I hide my food.
He has 2 small bills to pay, and no children to take care of, jis bills come to about $80 the most and he pays rent. With all that left over money he buys weed and take out.
I get a measly $370 a month and I make that stretch, I pay rent, buy food, use for transportation, and buy the things my daughter might need. He makes up to $1,000 a month and never has food, or money to get to work. What the hell?
He doesn?t wash his clothes, if they get too dirty he will throw them away. His feet stinks. His towel stinks, his teeth are rotting.
He doesn't buy necessity items such as toilet paper, deodorant but expects it to be here.
Again, I get a measly 370 a month and I make that stretch, he makes up to $1,000 month and he can't make that stretch.
Everyday he smokes, plays his video game, looks for food to eat, goes to make his rap music and goes to sleep, it?s the same thing every day. He was in a G.E.D. program for like 4 years when he should have only been there for like 6 months.
He does not take care of himself, and I am tired of it. I feel angry at him and sometimes at my mother because she is too lenient, she didn?t push him or us for that matter hard enough.
But I have a goal to break this mold, I am trying to transfer to Columbia university once I complete my Associates and I am going to work my butt off, so I can buy my own house and have my daughter living comfortably.
I believe he has talent but he is wasting it. I believe he has potential with his music, like the potential to be big but I feel he needs a back up plan as well.
I am tired of seeing him in this spot, living like a leech despite the fact that he makes his own money.
I don?t want to make him seem like a bad guy, he always shares whatever food he has when he has it and if my mother needed help, he would help her and me too.
Should I keep giving him money for work, even if I have extra change?

Open Question: I am lost. What shall I do?
I have married for 7 years and have been a good wife, doing housework, share house mortgage, cook good food and the like. Recently I found that my husband went hunting while in his business trip. I want to divorce but I don't have the courage. I don't want to be all alone but I can't endure. Why I am being punished by being a nice wife?

Open Question: What's your all time favorite food to make?
I love sharing recipes and hearing the stories behind them or why people enjoy a certain food. I would love to hear what your FAVORITE recipe is or favorite food to make is and why.
Mine in particular is salmon. I'm really good at making salmon and it makes me feel like a master chef when I make it :D I put about 1/4 cup of milk in the bottom of a pan, cover the salmon with garlic and butter and lemon juice, cover with tin foil and bake for about half hour or so. It comes out so flaky and soft and amazing :D MMmmmmm .
Happy Answering :D

Open Question: Not sure about the right thing?
I'm 18 and a freshman in college. I've been with my fiance for 3 years now and we're expecting our first baby in June. My college is incredibly expensive and I hate living on a campus where I share a locked bathroom with 50 other girls, having an incredibly messy roommate who disturbs all my sleep, horrid food, and not being able to get around anywhere because there is nowhere to park my car! It has really been stressing me out to be so far from all of my friends and family and I've decided to go home and live with my dad for a while until my fiance and I can afford our own place. It will save me money on room and board and the campus to which I transferred is much cheaper so I'll be able to continue my degree. Im just afraid that such a big change will not be right or it will hurt the relationship between myself and my fiance, im just so apprehensive and can't seem to quell my feelings of unease.
basically my question is just whether its a good idea to move back with my dad or not, atleast for the time being to keep my stress levels low and save money for a real place

Open Question: Is Jesus saying in the prodigal son parable that he is the eldest son and believers are like the younger son?
11Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. 12The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.
13"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' 20So he got up and went to his father.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.[a]'
22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.
25"Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
28"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'
31" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "
Luke 15:11-32
