Air Force Academy Story 1950s-1980s This DVD documents the early days of the United States Air Force Academy. Includes excellent scenes of the first academy class, which opened at Lowry AFB, while the Colorado Springs facility was still under construction. The DVD details the Academy's construction, as well as the dedication of several of the buildings on campus. Open Question: Help with an older movie title...?
I haven't seen this movie in years, and actually only saw it once so my details may be a bit sketchy. But its an older film (1950s or 1960s) and the story basically is about this art museum, or some museum of sort and underneath runs a subway or train of some type that is inhabited by some alien or monster life force. As people slowly learn what is occuring underneath, towards the end of the movie the huge creature living in the railway comes out and causes all sorts of trouble and destruction on the city. Resolved Question: Names for my characters?
I'm writing a story, which is set in 1950s England and I am having real difficulty in finding names for my two leading characters. The main character is a girl of 18, who holds a real passion for the ocean and traveling. She has been brought up to expect nothing more from life than to 'wine and dine', basically she comes from an upper class family. The second character is a middle-aged man who lost one leg in the war and is now a broken man who spends his days drinking heavily. He is mentally weak and bitter, but underneath all that is essentially a good person. Can you think of any names that would suit these two characters, keeping in mind the time and place? Please do not suggest a baby naming site, I've already searched through it and nothing has caught my fancy yet. (more...)

I already have sandy brown hair, but my mom doesn't want to bleach it, because 'it'll ruin my hair' any suggestions? I googled it, but I'm useless when it comes to the internet! Resolved Question: Movie Title Help: set in circa 1950's, button-up, clean-cut guy?
Need help with movie title. set in 1950s, I think. It's about a clean cut, button-up, well-mannered, virgin high school guy from a middle class, stable family who like this girl who is out of his league. She's the type that might go for, or could at least get, a tall, athletic type guy. Anyway, a new guy moves to town. He comes from a less well-off family-- his dad may even be an alcoholic. He's like a greaser. He wears a leather jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans. Straight out of The Outsiders, right. He's on the tall side, handsome, cool, but not an athlete. I want to say he works on cars. maybe he's a mechanic. The two meet and eventually become friends because they are both outsiders. The "cool" guy takes upon himself to help the other guy out and give him advice on how to get the girl he wants. Long story short, the cool, tough guy ends up being a sweetheart, puppy dog,...boy scout finally looses virginity...There is old cars, even a diner scene or scenes. Can you think of the title?
