I Capture the Castle (Dol Slip)

Open Question: How can i take a Video from a camcorder after connecting the AV cable?
i connected the red, white, and yellow cables from the TV and into the Camcorder where it says AV. I just don't know what to do after connecting both the TV and the camcorder because every time i take a video its not capturing whats on the TV.
What do i need to do to make it capture whats on television and not whats the camera is seeing?

Open Question: Anyone know about camera to PC capturing?
For all you computer whisses out there, our knowledgeable people, I'm am utterly stuck.
I am trying to capture a video from a Canon digital camera using Pinnicle Plus verson 9 and the Dazzle DVC 170 but when I push "start capture" it doesn't do anything. I'm at a loss, any help?
The camera I am using is a Canon Digital camera NTSC ZR80 mini DV. It capture's on a small tape and has a DV and AV connection ports. I'm using PInnicle plus movie maker.

Open Question: Does deinterlacing video increase the quality?
I have the option to deinterlace video that I capture (which i can get in 1080i/720p), but I was curious to see if that increases video quality or not. If it does(or doesn't) does it do anything else? Also, would it make it 1080p?
Sorry, I just looked up the difference in 1080i vs 720p, and saw they are VERY different. The dimensions that my video is in is 1280x720.
I botched up the question, what i can do is get a video in 720p, and then deinterlace it. Will that increase the quality?
Final Add Details!!: i capture video onto my computer from my TV, which gives me the option to deinterlace. Will deinterlacing it increase the quality? What will it do to my picture quality/image resolution?

Open Question: two quick questions about 720p and 720i?
1. When I capture a video/make a video, how do I tell if it is 720 interlaced or progressive? I have the dimensions at 1280x720, so...
2. If it is 720i, and I deinterlace it, does that automatically make it 720p? Thanks for answering!

Open Question: how to capture my video on my macbook pro from my sony HC36E?
I am using the sony HC36E camcorder and I want to transfer the video's onto my macbook. I am using a lead which connects onto my mac via usb. I cant seem to locate my camcorder connection on my mac. I have got adobe premiere pro and imovies to do this but i am having trouble with both..my camera is set onto streaming mode but I cannot find it on my mac.

Open Question: S-Video Cable with Dazzle (Xbox 360 Recording)?
Ok
so i've heard that using an S-Video cable with my Dazzle capture card improves the quality..and i just so happen to have an S-Video cable...BUT WAIT! i have a regular S-Video cable...not the kind the S-Video cable that takes place of the composite 360 cables... I've seen a lot of pictures where the S-Video cable is included with the 360's AV cables...i got my 360 opening day...so i have just the plain ol' AV and Composite cables...no S-Video included in my 360's cords...
so does this mean no S-Video recording for me? or is it possible to use my S-Video cable with my capture card?
i've heard of splitting regular AV cables into an S-Video cable...if it's possible would it even help the quality and be worth it?

Open Question: My camera wont play my tapes!?
i have a JVC GR-D850 and it wont playback my tapes on the camera. i was plugging my camera in to edit a video when this happened. i watched the tape to make sure it was on the right part, then when i plugged it in and hit play (for screen capture) it just stayed on the blue screen blue. so i unplugged it and shut it off, took that battery out, and turned it back on. i know the tape is full, and i even tried a different tape that was also full. but the screen remained blue. the tape also re-wound and everything, but just didnt show up on the screen! do you know what i could do?

Open Question: Question for you Graphics-card enthusiasts?
My desktop died. It was an HP with an Asterope2 motherboard, with onboard ATI Radeon Express Series 200 graphics. Using MPLAYERC (Media Player Classic), I was able to use the slider bar (with Pause on) to scroll thru frames of a WMV file, finding the portions of it I wanted to view. A couple quirks, tho. One was that it would abend (blue screen) if I scrolled too fast, and the other was that if I left it sitting on a single frame too long it would freeze.
Now I have a Gigabyte motherboard with a Nvidea 9600 GT card (custom build by http://ecollegepc.com , will never buy brand-name again). Problem is that MPLAYERC has lost it's frame-scrolling capability.
Is it the video-card that is dis-allowing that capability? I really miss being able to preview WMV files (most of them captured from my webcam). Is there any other options out there for frame-scrolling?
