Riedel Ouverture Red Wine Glasses, Set of 4

Perfect for everyday use, the four red-wine glasses in this set are part of the moderately priced Ouverture series offered by world-renowned Austrian wineglass maker Riedel Crystal (founded in 1756). Being lead-free, they're not crystal like Riedel's premium glasses but are machine blown of potash glass and are dishwasher-safe. Their thin rims are cut and polished to Riedel's exacting standards, so wine flows easily onto the tongue. Each glass holds 12-3/8 ounces and stands 7-3/8 inches high. Though glasses shaped and sized for different types of wine seem commonplace today, when Riedel introduced this idea in 1961, it was revolutionary. Since then Riedel has continued fine-tuning glasses to bring out the best characteristics in wines and spirits. Varying bowls' shapes and sizes affects the position of the head when sipping and where wine first contacts the tongue's various taste zones.

Riedel Wine Series Cabernet/Merlot Glass, Set of 4

The Wine Series offers the legendary wine-enhancing qualities of Riedel glassware in an affordable yet attractive package. Bowl shapes are modeled after Riedel's popular Vinum series, but because they're machine-made from high-quality non-leaded glass, they're ideal for the novice oenophile or for everyday use. As with the Vinum series, each type of glass is carefully formed to bring out the best in a specific varietal. Here, the shape of bowl and mouth are specifically designed to enhance the flavor, bouquet and texture of full-bodied reds like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Machine-made in Europe by master glassmakers, each glass stands 9-1/4 inches tall and holds 21-1/2 ounces at full capacity.

Welcome Interstate Managers

After a four-year hiatus notable for some film and television soundtrack work, a lapsed contract, and a relaxed songwriting schedule Fountains of Wayne return with their third and best CD to date. The New York-based power-pop quartet delivers a diverse feast of infectious melodies and endlessly clever lyrics. Songwriters Adam Schlesinger and Chris Collingwood still slide on a sweet scale between the Beatles and the Monkees, but they've branched out from '60s sounds to include bona fide alt rock ("Little Red Light," "Bought for a Song"), orchestrated pop ("Halley's Waitress"), a country lark worthy of Dwight Yoakam ("Hung Up On You"), and hints of psychedelia ("Supercollider"). The Cars-flavored "Bright Future in Sales" and "Stacy's Mom" warrant heavy-rotation airplay. Following their acclaimed eponymous debut and the vastly underrated
Utopia Parkway,
Welcome Interstate Managers leaves no doubt that Fountains of Wayne are gaining strength.

Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Videos (Keep Case)

Here's a baker's dozen of Guns N' Roses' most explosive and memorable music videos from 1987 to 1993, and what a lesson they provide in the early evolution of visual style on MTV. Looking back, it seems Guns N' Roses embraced almost every "type" of music-video setting: "Welcome to the Jungle," for instance, finds rapid images of the band's stage performance interspersed with a semi-narrative featuring Axle Rose as a newcomer to the big bad city. "Paradise City" is set against an arena sound check, while "Sweet Child O' Mine" is structured around the now-threadbare idea of a video documentary about a video production. A couple of obsessive themes emerge from this anthology, the starkest involving love and watery deaths ("Don't Cry" and "November Rain"). Most interesting is the opiate-like distortions of "The Garden" and the surreal "Since I Don't Have You," starring Gary Oldman as a grinning devil.

Welcome to Mooseport
Welcome to Mooseport is such a blandly likable comedy that your grandmother could watch it and wish for a little sex and violence to keep her awake. Perhaps the phenomenal popularity of TV's
Everybody Loves Raymond made Ray Romano proceed too cautiously in selecting this small-town comedy as his film debut; without a live audience and an endless supply of punchy one-liners at his disposal, his domestic everyman persona seems a bit lost, ill-defined and uncertain how to respond when a former U.S. President (Gene Hackman) (1) moves to the quiet, jovial Maine burg of Mooseport, where Romano's the beloved plumber and hardware store proprietor; (2) proceeds to make moves on Ray's long-time girlfriend (Maura Tierney, from
ER); and (3) runs against our ol' pal Ray in Mooseport's homespun mayoral election. Hackman's got some stellar support from Marcia Gay Harden and Rip Torn (and, to a lesser degree, Fred Savage), and Tierney's a pleasure as always, but director Donald Petrie (
Miss Congeniality) can't spin gold from straw; Tom Schulman's screenplay aims to please everyone, draining the energy from what might, in other hands, have been a deliciously devious premise. There's such a thing as being "niced" to death, and
Welcome to Mooseport is proof.

Welcome to Mars

Go inside mission control and explore Mars with rovers Spirit & Opportunity.
Take an astounding look at the red planet in this interplanetary adventure that picks up where the acclaimed film MARS Dead or Alive left off. From the white-knuckle landings of the Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity, through months of frustrating setbacks and elating discoveries, Welcome to Mars captures the gripping drama and the breathtaking images of the most significant mission events.
Mission Control and its two robotic explorers face a daunting task-find proof that liquid water, the essential ingredient of life, once existed on Mars. Just days into the mission, euphoria turns to despair as Spirit suddenly stops communicating with NASA. With the mission on the line, restoring communications with the rover becomes a nerve-shredding ordeal before the problem is solved. Then, Opportunity serendipitously lands near a scientifically valuable rock outcrop that provides crucial evidence allowing NASA to announce solid proof that Mars was once awash in water.
Through unprecedented access, Welcome to Mars presents a compelling inside story of triumph, technical ingenuity, and emotional drama packed with stunning images from an alien world.

Open Question: in all sincerity why do white people?
...ask such ridiculous questions in reference to the suffering in africa and blacks in other parts of the world...let,s go back a few hundred (or thousand years)
all that africa and it,s people had it gave and shared with the ancient world freely (of course you know that life began there) like the mother that she is.
yet some of her children decided that they would rape, tourture and disown her. they made her children into slaves and turned her bounty into their own fortunes with no consciense and beat her each time she tried to stand.
her breast lay barren barley able to give life yet those that raped her left there to die as they concocted lies about her in his-story.(still she rises)
they abandoned her and lied to the world about her greatness.
her true seed still struggles to this very day even though they were stripped of their lifeline.
their brains forced to speak forgein tongues and denied the nourishment's of true learning they were beaten and lied about with no remorse.
they were not given the same opportunities of others because of their hue. jobs passed them by even though they were willing and capable and those that had the power never let them forget it.
they relished in their misery and poured salt on their wounds their pain was satisfying in their sadistic minds.
they said that "all men were created equal" yet they chained one to the bottom of the ship while the others enjoyed the scenery of the voyage.
one worked the land and his pay was 20 lashes on the back. while the other pocketed the "blood money" that came from his brothers misery.
all the while mother africa never stopped mourning for her children.
and though the field is not even that,s ok because we know our mother.
matieral gain is nothing to those who were created to love and teach love.
but to walk in this world as a souless creature capable of doing such hideous and down right evil things and then simply deney them is an enigma that would make all of those who know their true orgin shutter to even think of it.
even today mother africa is called a cespool yet we all came from that cespool. her children all over the world suffer because of what happened in the past.
she rises up and calls out to her children to come in. yes that means "you" too!
it,s been a hard day,s journey into nothingness the african light is upon "all people"truth is sounding but ignorance is deaf.
it,s arrogant and defiled it,s stench has corrupted and turned in on it,s self in this self acclamied dog eat dog world. if you are holding me down how you can,t go anywher either.
but let the truth be told mother africa still give her riches and wisdom freely you never had to steal it.
her love is still priceless her heart still warm, her creative jucies have not nor never will be ceased her eyes cry and her moans haunt "you" her albino son because you were not born like me you despised the womb that surrounded you for 9 months only to be baked in a sun that did not embrace you.
her water baptized you as it did me when it broke.but you turned with envey and hatred evilness was your friend and like the cold land that would become your home so was your heart.
you adjusted far better to a sunless enviorment and became cave dwellers and night hunters with eyes like cats still prefearring your meat rare (raw).
even to this day the dripping of blood seems to excite you and move you to violence.
but what has it gotten you.
you are an outcast and all society despise what you have done to this world.
with open arms you were welcome in and in return you butchered, mamied, burnned, tourtured, stole enslaved and lied.
and yet you have the audicity to call other races ignorant....after all is said and done the message remains "WOULD YOU RAPE YOUR MOTHER"

Open Question: Where can I go to "get away"?
I need an adventure. I'm 16 going on 17 and I love the outdoors and animals. I've researched spending a week on a dude ranch, but I can't afford it. $1,500 isn't quite in a dog walker's budget. I also looked into spending a year working/volunteering at a wolf sanctuary here in NM, but you have to be 21. I just need to "find myself" (cliche, I know) and reassess my priorities. I'm looking for somewhere I can go to be alone, or with people I don't know. Cheap is key. I originally wanted to take my dog and backpack for a few months on my own, but my parents vetoed that right away. I'm not necessarily looking for a vacation. I want to be tested, and I want an experience I can learn something from. Please, any ideas are welcome, or just thoughts to get the ball rolling. Oh, and places I could take my dog would definitely be cool.
Thanks!
Leah
Edited to add:
I am in New Mexico, but staying in state isn't a requirement.
Also, I am looking to be gone anywhere from a week or two, to months on end.
dacotah7:
Thank you! I guess I forgot to mention that I am home schooled, and can take time off whenever I need to (within a reasonable limit) I am graduating at the end of this year. I have given thought to the Military, and also to Mounted Police work. Heaven knows my step-father would love it! I am looking for something immediately, and if I'm correct, you need to be 18 to be in the Military. But thank you very much.

Open Question: Romantic Idea For My Girlfriend On Valentines Day!!! (Girls Please Comment)?
Now I Have Been Dating This Girl That I Truly Care About, She's 17 and I'm 19... Ever Since Our First Kiss and Every Other Time We Kiss, All Of a Sudden In My Head I Tell Her "I Love You"... This Is The First Girl Ever This Has Happened To Me, And It Happened On The Very First Kiss!!! When I Was With My Other Ex's I Got Comfortable Around and Took Them Maybe For Granted (Sorry Its Kinda Rude Sounding) ...But With Her I'm Always Feeling Butterflies and My Heart Pounds, I Always Cherish Every Moment With Her..
I Could Look At Her Face For Hours and Not Look Away...But If I Look Into Her Eyes, I Could Be Lost In Them Forever!!! Just The Way She Looks At Me With Them Is My Minds Ecstasy, But Its Also In Them That Makes Me Most Afraid...B/c I Don't Know The Person She See's When She Stares Back...
OK Sorry Here's My Idea For Her (Just Wanted To Show You A Little Of My Feelings First):
On Valentines Day, I Want It To Be The First Time To Tell Her That I Love Her... So A Week Before This Day I Want To Write a Love Letter About How I Feel For Her and Tell Her Not To Open It Until I'am With Her On V-Day..(And a Week Before Is B/c I Think Its Kind Of Romantic To Tease Her and See If She Cares The Same To Resist The Temptation To Open It)... And The Day Before V-day (A Friday) I Want To Send Her Flowers with a Little Note Saying Something I Want Every One To See How Much I Care For Her (Sending Them To Her School)....
Now HERE's MY BIG GIFT!!!
... I Want To Make One Of Those Videos That Have like 1000 Pics In Them. And The Pics Will Be Of Me At Different Scenes At Different Places Writing Something But Wont Be Seen Until The End Of The Video....The Whole Time Playing a Kinda Fast Moving Love Song While The Pics Are Fast Moving and At The End Playing a Slow Love Song B/c there Will Only Be Like 1 pic Every 5 seconds Showing What I Wrote... I Will Be Writing Our Initials On Public Walls, Public Bathroom Stalls (LoL), Benchs, Just Various Places... And For The Finale Will Be One Pic Saying "Wait I Haven't Said It"... Then It Will Switch To like 20second mini videos of Me Saying "I Love You (Her Name)" at Like Our Mall Shouting It, Using Maybe Walmarts Intercom, Just Various Places... Then When The Video Is Done Say I Tell Her In Person "I Love You"
...Before Showing Her The Video I Want To Take Her Out To Eat and Then Roller Blading Or Take Her Some Where We Can Just Talk and Hold Hands The Whole Time, and Before I Leave To Pick Her Up I' am Going To Post It On YouTube and Her Facebook Page So Everyone Can See How Much She Means To Me... So When We Are Out On The Date I Can Find a Wireless Hotspot and Show Her The Video...(But I Will Have My Friend Come From No Where and Bring Us My Laptop So It Will Surprise Her)...
***So Girls Can You Please Leave Your Comments On This and Do You Think This Is a Good Idea For Saying "I Love You" For The First Time and On Valentines Day?... Also Any Ideas Or Suggestions Would Be Very Appreciate =)
Also Guy Opinions Are Welcome To...
P.S. You Can E-mail your Ideas/Comments To Me If They Are Long To: football_87_2007@yahoo.com
