You remember Gene...Emcee of the game show "The Match Game" from 1962 to 1969, now memorialized over The Gameshow Network? Maybe you were a contestant on The Match Game back then. Maybe you are (or knew) one of the celebrity panelists like Richard Dawson, Charles Nelson Riley, Brett Summers (the "regulars"), or one of the other guest panelists. Well if you have any personal knowledge of Gene Rayburn from having been on The Match Game or from stories heard from any of his panelists...did Gene have bad breath? Here's where this comes from. You can't smell breath over TV. No such thing as "Smell-a-Vision" yet. But Gene had a big, toothy grin. And a very pronounced overbite. In his delivery, he often craned his neck forward to speak into his little hand held mic-on-a-stick, or to get in contestants' or panelists' faces to solicit their responses to his game show queries. He looks kinda overbearing...like the guy at the party you don't want to engage because he'll be breathing over you and in your face all night if you encourage him. But I like Gene! He seemed like a nice guy with a quick wit and easy demeanor. I just have one relative who watches Game Show Network and The Match Game reruns with weekly regularity. And she has nicknamed Gene..."Mr. HALITOSIS" because he just LOOKS like he would have bad breath and be completely unaware of it. This is a ridiculously small and petty question...but it is a valid question none-the-less. Gene died in 1999, but his memory lives on through Gameshow Network archives as if he were still alive today. So to settle this family dispute as to whether this nice, funny, and easy-going emcee ever really did have Halitosis -- I ask the Yahoo! Answers community now. I had a dream that it was summer and I went to this place where "special" people with "special" powers went (eg- flying, telekinesis,telepathy ect.). Anyway I left all my parents and friends and just went. Any way in the dream I find out I'm supposed to be part of the big huge cataclismic and apocoliptic battle (I know this because the people who were teaching me how to use my powers told me so) any way years go by and it all about to end and we (meaning me and everyone else that was there) gets to go back home to our lives. Something happens and my friend (some random girl I don't know her...) and I get attacked. It's night time and it's raining and we're hurt. My friend almost dies from these poisin needles but I save her. There's this really cool uberly amazing fight scene were we fight them and get away, and we flee to Italy. Anyway we flee to this old hidden temple that is in some special "inner-demension" that only the non-normal people know about. I look up and see either pigions or doves fly in front of it and I'm looking up at this temple thing that is like an biege color and it's relatively small. Anyway we go up these stairs (everything is biege) and go into this room filled with books and tiny dragon statues. It's an archive or mini library all the books and scrolls are ancient everything we have to read. I look up at the domed ceiling and see a stained glass window. It's a raven with her head to the right of her. I know that the raven in the window is giving her last, final 'caw' and that she's defending something she loves and this was her before she died. Then all of a sudden... The whole area dims and words start to fade in and form like in a video game. It says something that I read and while I'm reading it (because I've been lucid throughout the whole dream)a sonorous voice repeats it. It's telling me something important but I can't remember what. I had this dream 4 years ago and I've been having dreams with similairly cyriptic means almost every night since. I had dreams before that one but i can't remember them any more. (CBS) For decades, priests in this country abused children in parish after parish while their superiors covered it all up. Now it turns out the orders for this cover up were written in Rome at the highest levels of the Vatican. CBS News Correspondent Vince Gonzales has uncovered a church document kept secret for 40 years. The confidential Vatican document, obtained by CBS News, lays out a church policy that calls for absolute secrecy when it comes to sexual abuse by priests - anyone who speaks out could be thrown out of the church. The policy was written in 1962 by Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani. The document, once "stored in the secret archives" of the Vatican, focuses on crimes initiated as part of the confessional relationship and what it calls the "worst crime": sexual assault committed by a priest" or "attempted by him with youths of either sex or with brute animals." Bishops are instructed to pursue these cases "in the most secretive way...restrained by a perpetual silence...and everyone {including the alleged victim) ...is to observe the strictest secret, which is commonly regarded as a secret of the Holy Office...under the penalty of excommunication." Larry Drivon, a lawyer who represents alleged victims, said, ?This document is significant because it's a blueprint for deception.? Drivon said this proves what he has alleged on behalf of victims in priest-abuse lawsuits: that the church engaged in a crime ? racketeering. ?It's an instruction manual on how to deceive and how to protect pedophiles,? Drivon said. "And exactly how to avoid the truth coming out." The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said the document is being taken out of context, that it's a church law that deals only with religious crimes and sins. WASHINGTON - A federal judge on Saturday ordered Dick Cheney to preserve a wide range of the records from his time as vice president.The decision by U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly is a setback for the Bush administration in its effort to promote a narrow definition of materials that must be safeguarded under by the Presidential Records Act.The Bush administration's legal position "heightens the court's concern" that some records may not be preserved, said the judge.The lawsuit stems from Cheney's position that his office is not part of the executive branch of government. This summer, Cheney chief of staff David Addington told Congress the vice president belongs to neither the executive nor legislative branch of government, but rather is attached by the Constitution to Congress. The vice president presides over the Senate. The lawsuit alleges that the Bush administration's actions over the past 7 1/2 years raise questions over whether the White House will turn over records created by Cheney and his staff to the National Archives in January. wasn't the Clinton case whitewater - which happened prior to the presidency?
