Resolved Question: What to do about my grades?
I am usually an a student, none of my grades last year were lower then a 92. But this year, i am applying to Loomis Chaffee, Deerfield Academy, Suffield Academy, Northfield Mount Hermon, Hotchkiss, Choate Rosemary Hall, Lawerenceville, and Phillips Academy Andover. I would love to have the same grades i got last year, but i switched schools and didn't do so many homwork assignment is that before my finals (which are 15% of our semester grade) i have a B+ in math, an A in French, a B in social studies, and a C in science and in english honors. I can get my social studies and math grades up to a's because i missed an a in math by only 3 pints and my social studies teacher says if i get a B+ and hand in an extra credit assignment, or if i just get an A on the final, he will make it my semester grade. But I have talked to my English and Science teacher and both refuse to offer extra credit and my finals are all of next week along with my SSAT's this coming saturday.
My application towards all of the schools are excellent, except for the grades I got this year. I am a member in National Junior Honor society, National Junior ARt Honor Society, was a member of Builder's club (younger version of Kiwanis's club), and have been in student council since 5th grade. Also in French class I placed 7th in the nation and 1st in my county for rank 01 on the French GRan Concour ( out of 2,000 kids across the US) ( the test is a very hard national french test that most teachers don't even bother teaching their kids because they know that the students wouldn't do well) I also have been playing the drums since fourth grade, have played the clarinet for 1 year, on my second year as an oboe player, and since july have been teaching myself how to play the piano. Also on the SSat's based off all of my practice test the lowest i got on them for percent tiles would me 698, and most of the time i get around the 750 on the upper level exam ( three sections on test verbal reading comp and math, all of which are out of 800) The 50th percentile scores for the 8th graders taking the upper level exam are 647 for reading, 660 for verbal, and 676 for math. Also my brother was a star student at Northfield Mount Hermon (I would prefer going to a school other then Northfield though) and he graduated from Wesleyan this year. I have three sisters who graduated from Wellsely, Harvard, and NYU.
I really messed up this year and i know many of those schools on the list above won't except me with my grades. I have dreamed of boarding school since 3rd grade when i went up to see my brother their. from their i just got more and more interested in the schools. My parents are okay to the idea and with the help of my siblings boarding fro high school won't be a hard idea for my parent's to overcome. I would like to get a 3.5 for my gpa,but it seems impossible. I don't know why i didn't do the work, i went to a new school this year and everything was different, and i didn't do several assignments in classes. ALso because i am in middle school i can't turn the overdue assignment in, because once they are late you just get a zero. In order to get a B in Science i would have to get about 100 on the final and everyone says they are hard. and I would have to do very well on my English final as well. I really regret missing the assignments and i know my family will be really mad by the grades because they know that i am usually an a student. I didn't struggle with any of the material we were learning, i was just not used to the school and how the teachers expected work. I know it happens whenever You do go to a new school harder then your previous one but i needed a's this semesterer to get into the high school i wanted to go to. I know i can kiss andover goodbye because they expect excellency in something their and i don't have a sibling that has gone their so it seems impossible for them to except me with thousands of other kids who have the same application as i do except they have a's. I am really stuck and would appreciate it if someone who give me some advice if i haven't stated so before i am currently in 8th grade.
sorry if i didn't mention this before but these are the top high schools in the nation who all have an acceptence rate from 25%-5%

Illegals are all for human rights only they certainly are not practicing what they preach and demand of us.The survivor of a deadly crash said Monday that he had no warning before a pick-up truck fitted with a snowplow struck him and his friend as they walked home from a birthday celebration.

His friend, Christopher Foat, 23, of Woodstock wasn?t so lucky. Foat died in a hospital shortly after the 2:10 a.m. Sunday crash on the 500 block of Clay Street.
On Monday, a judge set bond for Antonio Escorza, 37, at $200,000 on a charge of aggravated drunken driving in connection with the fatal crash. If convicted, he could be sentenced from three to 14 years in prison.
Foat?s mother described her son, a 2002 Woodstock High School graduate, as an amazing young man who loved football.
?He was a wonderful human being,? Sally Foat said. ?He was so caring and so thoughtful. Everybody loved him.?
The driver didn?t immediately stop after striking the men, police said.
One of their friends, Jake Chaffee, 23, of Woodstock tried to chase down the driver after he allegedly fled. Chaffee said he would remember good times that he had with Foat over the past 10 years.Police found the truck parked a few blocks away in the driveway at 703 Clay St., where they arrested Escorza. He remained in custody at the McHenry County Jail on Monday. U.S. Immigrations and Customs officials have placed a hold on Escorza?s bond, which usually indicates that a defendant is in the country illegally.
