Open Question: Does this camaro sound like a good deal?
I was looking at this 2000 Chevrolet Camaro v6 3.8L at an auto shop our family got our van fixed at. It's red in color and looks pretty good. 141,000 miles on it though. Gets 30mpg highway and 19mpg city. The guy at the auto shop is asking $3500. The transmission blew and the girl who previously owned it couldnt pay to have it fixed, so the head guy at the auto shop bought it from her. He'll put in the new tranny and have it ready to go by Monday... Does $3500 sound like a good price for this car? Thanks a ton! The body is straight, the bumpers have little scratches and cracks, and one crack in the front bumper but no frame damage. Also the bodyshop is fixing the large crack for free... (more...)

My brother is willing to sell me his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier for $1,000. I know that he has banged it up a little since he bought it a coupe years ago for $1,500 from our cousin. He has wrecked the bumper, and messed something up with the engine, but he has fixed both. I know absolutely nothing about cars and I don?t want to get screwed over buying my first one.
