Light of My Heart (Silver Hills Trilogy, Book 1)

Dr. Letitia Morgan comes to Hartville, Colorado, in the late 1800s to follow her God-given calling to heal. Soon she becomes Hartville's ministering angel, reaching out to the children of the town drunk, and skillfully touching all who need her. But not everyone warms to the lovely new physician and Letty ruffles plenty of feathers when she takes on Hartville's thriving brothels. As she rescues first one then another young girl forced into the sordid trade, Letty becomes the target of some of the town's most powerful people. Eric Wagner, Hartville's newspaper editor, finds he got much more than he bargained for when he brought this female doctor to town. As Letty stirs more controversy with each passing day, he wonders if he can save the noble-minded doctor from herself. This is heart-warming and engaging fiction at its best, straight from the pen of a skilled storyteller.

Resolved Question: Where can I look at apartment listings online near Broomfield, Colorado?
I am interviewing for a position, and if I get it I will be relocating from Iowa to Broomfield, Colorado. I own a home in Iowa, and would likely need to rent an apartment in Broomfield until I was able to sell my home. Where can I look at online listings for apartments in Broomfield, Boulder or the surrounding area? All the local newspapers' websites seem to redirect me to www.camerahomes.com, which is not at all helpful. I'm looking for cheap listings (the cheaper the better, without a roommate), but am having trouble finding listings online. Any suggestions?

Resolved Question: Second Floor Insulation?
The second floor of our colorado home is frigid! We keep the heat set to a reasonable 60 at night and the downstairs (where the only thermostat is) is just fine. The upstairs master bed room never warms up though. When the heat kicks on the registers are not really blowing hot air, maybe slightly warm air and its not enough to heat anything, let alone the high ceiling of the master.
In the tiny attic above the master there is about 2 inches of the newspaper based insulation and below half of the master is the garage. I suspect that there is little to no insulation which causes extreme cold (and extreme heat in summer).
My question is 2 fold really. Should i be tracking down the ducts and insulating them to keep the warm air from the basement warm for the trip upstairs? and should i hire someone to assess the insulation situation? Is that even possible without tearing out drywall?

Resolved Question: Can I afford a truck?
I'm a high school senior strongly desiring a 2000-05 Dodge Dakota/Ram or 05 Chevy Colorado crew cab model. I've seen these trucks advertised online and in the newspapers at around $5,000 with decent mileage on them.
Working at a part time job gets me about $200 every two weeks. The real problem is I am saving for college tuition next year. Can I afford to buy a truck now?

Resolved Question: Now that the Mexican drug Cartel has Infiltrated Mexican & U.S. Agencies how soon before another 9-11 ?
In Mexico's worst case of drug-related corruption in a decade, a drug cartel infiltrated the highest levels of Mexico's Attorney General's Office, paying as much as $450,000 a month to get sensitive information about anti-drug activities, Mexican officials said on Monday.
The cartel even seemingly placed a mole inside the U.S. Embassy that fed the drug lords information from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, according to a copy of an arrest warrant seen by The Wall Street Journal and obtained by Mexican newspaper El Universal. A DEA spokesman said: "We are currently investigating this issue along with our Mexican counterparts."
Two high ranking anti-drug officials were arrested weeks ago in connection with the scandal, Deputy Attorney General Marisela Morales said in an early morning press conference. They are Fernando Rivera, the former deputy director general of intelligence at the Attorney General's organized crime unit, and Miguel Colorado, the technical coordinator of the anti-drug unit.
In total, 35 officials from the organized crime unit have been "removed" from the agency and are being investigated, officials said.
The scandal reflects the difficulty of President Felipe Calderon's efforts to crack down on Mexico's powerful drug cartels. Mexico is the main shipment point for cocaine entering the U.S., and is now widely seen as having overtaken Colombia's drug war in importance and ferocity. So far this year, an estimated 3,700 people have died in violence from the drug war, most of them involved in the drugs trade. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122512883052272647.html
Since taking power in Nov, 2006, Mr. Calderon has deployed tens of thousands of soldiers to different parts of the country...
Let's send a few million illegal aliens home to help them win the war.

Resolved Question: What do you think of Palin's last ignorant statement "VP 'in charge' of the Senate"?
In an interview with Colorado TV station KUSA in response to a third-grader's question, "What does the Vice President do??, Palin said:
"[T]hey?re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom," she said.
She had already stated that during the VP debate, and Biden quickly corrected her (indirectly) saying that the actual role of the vice president when it comes to the Senate is simply to cast a tie-breaking vote in the event of a stalemate, according to Article I of the U.S. Constitution.
Curiously, the media didn't comment on that, and now they are, when Palin has said it publicly now twice.
During several interviews she has already demonstrated ignorance on a huge number of issues, for example economics (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac), judicial issues (Supreme Court Decisions), general news and culture (couldn't name a single newspaper), her own state (I can see Russia from my house), and her running-mate's opponent ("He pals around with terrorists" "He's a socialist)".
So, what do you think about her last very ignorant utterance? If you are a Republican, are you still fooling yourself into believing she is not a very unintelligent and ignorant person, and a huge risk for the country? (And BTW, one of the most important reasons why McCain is on his way to losing the election by a landslide).
Do any of those Palin ignorant worshipers who agree with her have any idea what CEREMONIAL means? The vice president is the ceremonial officer of the Senate and has certain ceremonial functions including swearing in new senators and can vote to break a tie. "President of the Senate" is a CEREMONIAL title. Palin followers, you are just as ignorant as she is (even worse, because you adore a blithering moron). No wonder why you admire her so much. You just relate to her so incredibly. When she opens her ignorant mouth to blabber stupidity, MORONS feel "inspired" whereas clever/smart people feel embarrassed or simply sorry that such a stupid person is a VP candidate, and could very well end up ruining the country even further, in case she becomes VP, since PALIN IS NO DOUBT EVEN MORE STUPID THAN DUBYA HIMSELF. What a shame!

Resolved Question: Are you impressed by Obama's bi-partisan coalition?
Obama's support from the right has been growing at a shocking rate lately. Is this a testament to Obama's ability to reach across the aisle and build truly bi-partisan coalitions?
Things to consider:
--Recently, Obama has added several high profile Republicans to his list of supporters from staunch GOP columnist, Chris Buckley to former Republican Secretary of State, General Colin Powell.
--25 newspapers who formerly backed Bush in 2000 and 2004 have switched their allegiance to Obama, including such GOP stalwarts as the Houston Chronicle, Austin American-Statesman and The Chicago Tribune, which has never endorsed a Democrat in its history.
--Obama now leads in several traditionally red states, including Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Missouri and North Carolina, and is within striking distance in deep red states like Georgia and West Virginia.
