So I've been having this issue for a few months now. Basically any online game i play i get consistent lag spikes every couple minutes that last about 5 seconds. It doesn't matter if its a FPS, a mmorpg or a very basic game like diablo 1. I'm using a wireless setup and up until about 5 months ago it was perfectly fine. All of a sudden the issue started. I'm using Comcast cable internet in Colorado. I did do some research and from what I found there didn't seem to be any definitive answers. There was one site that listed the exact problem I had but it was one you had to pay for to get the answer. Thanks in advance for any help! Yeah I am running off of a router and I tried disabling both the security on the router and the firewall on my computer but no luck. I'm pretty sure most high school and college students struggle with this, but I am doubting what I want to do with my life. Currently, I am a 17 year old English Literature major taking online courses. The online courses are a lot cheaper than actual on-campus courses, but living at home is terrible right now. I'm also doubting that I picked the right major. My true passion is writing-not literature. However, that was not available at the school I'm attending, so I'm doing the next best thing. How do you know if you are following the right career path? I love writing, but I also have a passion for children and teenagers. My career dream includes working for a specific Christian magazine in Colorado, but I also have the desire to raise a family, be involved in adopting (whether within the United States or Internationally), and I want to be involved in youth ministry (teenagers) on a volunteer basis. What do you think I should do? Should I look into finding a school where I can pursue a writing major rather than a literature one? What advice do you have for somebody who is considering changing schools and majors-especially when the change will be costing more money each semester? What do you advise I do? (more...)

I've changed my mind after I read the entire excerpt from his speech. Here it is; Obama, July 2, Colorado Springs, CO: [As] president I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots [from 75,000] and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals, like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their effort connected to a common purpose. People of all ages, stations and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem ? they are the answer. So we are going to send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an energy corps, to conduct renewable energy and environmental clean-up projects in their neighborhoods all across the country. We will enlist our veterans to find jobs and support for other vets, and to be there for our military families. And we're going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. We need to use technology to connect people to service.
