Has anyone out there cooked food using a halogen convection turbo oven like Flavor wave turbo oven and a Convection oven with no halogen light?
The one I am thinking of buying dosn't have halogen light but I can buy it today. Is there a big differents in the outcomes in there style of cooking. I am happy to spend more money and wait a bit longer to get the halgen/convection oven if it cooks food better than the normal Convection turbo oven.
Should I buy the Convection countertop oven today or wait a bit longer and buy the other one.

Resolved Question: It has occurred to me that I might be a stereotypical bachelor. What do you think?
The bathroom is a bit mildewy, the office is a wreck, the garage is littered with tools and half-completed artwork, and the kitchen countertop has the following:
1) a microwave
2) a quart of drywall mud
3) 1 tube of caulk
4) about 12 cans of poached pears (I like to cook and do home canning. Fun to do and makes great Christmas gifts.)
Also, I tend to like it cold after having worked for many years in a heavily air conditioned computer room. The bedroom's about 55 degrees.
Incidentally, I also have an original 8 bit Nintendo Entertainment System hooked up to the TV in the living room. The empty beer cans have been thrown in the trash though, and there are no half eaten pizzas anywhere in the house.
So... on a scale of 1 to 10, how well do I fit the stereotype?
Ooooh, I forgot the whole edible-things-in-the-frige part.
There's about a pound of (fresh, undecayed) mozzarella cheese, assorted condiments, and in the freezer some Boca Burgers, turkey burgers, and a box of chicken that has been there since time immemorial. It's *probably* not dangerous to eat, but the extensive freezer burn would probably make it quite unpalatable.

Resolved Question: Can I Tile Over Wood Panels?
I would like to tile the back wall of a kitchen. Currently, there are wood panels there.
Since there is already a preformed countertop + backsplash in the kitchen, the tiles only need to be decorative- not functional in any way. I just want to make sure the tiles won't crack or fall off. There is no cooking range on this wall, only a sink.
Can I tile directly over the wood panels? Would I have to use some kind of a special (flexible?) additive for thinset?

Resolved Question: Should I Feed My 2month old male kitten as much as he wants?
He is greedy, greedy, greedy.
I upped his servings from 1 and a half adult sized can a day, to about three adult sized cans a day.
He eats the whole can at one time.
Even after he is fed, he smells on the ground in search for food, tears trash bags open, and stares at us while we cook, and expects us to have food with us all of the time. He even jumps on the table, on the stove, and countertops looking for food.
This is so annoying. I don't know if I should feed him as much as he wants to eat or if I should limit the amount of food that I give him.
Any Suggestions?

Resolved Question: I don't have an oven can i cook my stouffer's lasagna in a toaster oven/countertop oven?
i brought my lasagna home only to find that my oven is no longer working I have a counter top / toaster oven... does anyone know if i can cook it in thier? and if so... how long?
also.. just to let you know it is the large 12 serving lasagna .. not the smaller one. and yes it does (BARELY) fit in the toaster oven....

Resolved Question: How do I broil chicken breasts?
Hi. I am very new to cooking and want to cook some chicken. I have a top of the line countertop toaster oven which has a setting for broiling, I just do not know what temperature to set the broiler at and how long to leave them in there. Does anyone know? There are 2 chicken breasts of average size, total weight (approx) .50 lbs each - Any ideas? Advice? Thanks!

Resolved Question: I need new cabinets, but on very limited budget. Where do I go?
My cabinets are falling apart. Literally. My countertops are collapsing. It's pretty bad. I can't even cook in my kitchen without being scared to open a door without everything falling apart. HELP! Where can I go on a VERY LIMITED BUDGET?
