Orvis Hooked On Fly Fishing, OET Elk Trout Lodge, Colorado
Fishing the headwaters of the Colorado River... Marty Cecil, fly fishing coordinator and head guide for Elk Trout Lodge takes Gwenn Perkins to some private water on the Colorado for dry fly and streamer fishing for large native rainbows, browns and cut-bow hybrids.
Excellent Instruction... On the knots, fishing techniques and local hatches. Marty demonstrates tying a blood knot and David Perkins demonstrates two new Orvis knots.
Troublesome Creek and the Elk Trout Ponds... After a morning on the Troublesome, Gwenn and Marty head for a couple of small ponds that hold some incredible fish where you see "head to tail" shots of feeding fish and taking artificial flies. These are the scenes that will race any fly anglers' heart.
Fly Tying... From the Hooked On Fly Tying series Step 2 For Beginning Tyers, Dick Talleur ties a "Parachute Adams".

Resolved Question: Are pet rodents, bird, and rabbits protected by the ASPCA?
You hear of hundreds of dog and cat cruetly cases, but never any bird or rodent ones. I personally know many birds that have had abuse in their lives, but none of their owners have been charged. Then there are those chain oet stores (ex- petsmart) that clearly abuse their small animals and fish, but they're all still in business. So, are any animals other than cats and dogs protected by the aspca?
