Resolved Question: What do you think of my poem, D'abord l'enfer, et puis l'incineration. (Please review and be harsh as ya wish)?
A cloud of sickness? spread far and thin? The result of man's ambition to build, and master! A lasting flame of the Eiffel Tower burning, supernaturally? Decay and death, ruins and rage? weapons of glory or Of pride: (Choking radiation of man's folly) Blackness---sheer ash and fumes. Monuments Lost. All life halted, mans mausoleum to science. ?To man?s blind indifference to his fellow man?? --The Green Fields of France lost all life-- City of Love: no more moonlit walks Or tasty gourmet., L'Arc de Triomphe A gateway to hell! Thousands of treasures forever incinerated? ?Blackened bones, all that?s left of a thriving capital? No life----no movement? only the weakened structures sway. Skulking, and murmuring in grief. Inside a metro, silence? A paper mutely fluttering Reads: October 12th 3001- with the headline? La Fin It was for a contest on a site to write something about the future, Year 3000, I'm a doom merchant but wanted to avoid the most obvious choices for cities being destroyed was all. Thanks for reviews though :). (more...)

Resolved Question: Starting poetry. Hows that sound?
I started writing poetry I guess about 3 months ago. I have no experience at all and sometimes I feel like I can make a mess. Maybe its more just a story with thrown metaphor's but I'd like to better my skills if I could get feedback. thanks here is a sample. so basically what do you think. and how does the structure for a basic poem go. I assume alot more slimly written ha? here's the lates one i wrote. (I now know everything my everything) Has it ever occured to you, that you'd met a archyologist One to have found his only treasure. Have you ever wondered what it be like to serve your life on a battle field? I would surely die that day for you companion, and wear my purple heart with glory. It's never occured to me I was a mighty morphing power ranger. You change me so much a cameleon would be jealouse of it. my faith of knowing a worthy deity bounded by a friendship i defend with my fellow templar remember the days we missed those pins at the alley well, i miss you more. i sware that brownie we never had will never know the true meaning of being eaten. well, you eat my heart out. how was your day perfect? feel that vibe in your pant leg when you where happy to hear from me. i sware if you saw me i was crunk skipping on hillsides with my butterfly friends. because i ate them and they swim inside me to this day. yep my day job was to visit you my heaven. oh yea. i found you haliuha, i found you dear how i prayed amen. oh yea. you tingle me, i refuse to believe my foots asleep. you caught me. more then a babys curiousity to understand masterbation but shhhh watch. in this dark room. where am i? all i remember is you looking back. oh yea. the movies that was the night. that was the day of sabbath. i remember planting a heart. the alpha of time. the pb to my j the princess for my toad mentality. centered around my ego you lit with c-4 when i blush and my palms glands work out its fever you fed me a spoon full of passion the foundation of my genetics. i was getting high off us. i was finally a thug i been initated in the gang of love. i need my dealer close. i need you so close so i can melt over the sent of your morning breath. gum, for that.. for... what was i going to say? all i see is you. those lashes can scar the infatuation right out of my back. oh yea. hot five to the nurse that diagnosted me with Limerence what? oh yea i was going to put this freight here so i can. be frozen by your timeless hourglass posture. how do you like the work out cupcake face. oh yea. we make a good team we should get jerseys. but id be doomed when you hike me the ball. the lotion and shampoo vapors in your hair would pass me out. lah de daa ha haa- lah de daa ha haa and that mexican dress up sure looks exotic. areeeeeba ey yai yai (lol) putting that taco grin smack dab on my face. how did for the love of parents plant such a secret garden. with that rose you breath from over the lush smile that bloom. all this nature you are would be the envy and poision ivy to persephone and boy am i hungry im officially vegan for you. im glad im not diabetic i enjoy my sweets. those porsonline fingers with the nails made of crystal skulls infuse me with knowledge. you are a sculpture of beauty. may I hold your hand? I wanna run with you from all these lustful bee's. no seriously run honey! they are after you. as we run we lose them in our tracks and the night gets horrific. feeling tired are we my lady vampiress? i gladly hand over this neck for your survival. no need for drama just drink no need for being a prick hey take a sip gorgeous no need for being so jaded just try me i taste like gourmet sushi. cause in the end i'll die happy with you. my last words would be "thank you for you! goddess of my life. my soulmate my neck is your dinner plate. good night love enjoy your midnight feast" :) now i cant believe i posted this, oh well heh. Resolved Question: Please rate this poem. is it good enough?
This is a poem i wrote for a school contest and the theme was "WoW". the poem goes back and forth between the lives of two girls, one rich one poor, when i actaully submit it the part about the poor girl will be bolded so u can tell the difference easier. so it might be a but confusing cause idk how to bold the font here on yahoo. please rate and give advice and crituqe. thanks The sun has risen over the earth. Its light touching what can only be seen as two separate worlds, just on the same planet. The sun is searing her skin. Covering her already weak body with blisters. The sand filled wind whips across her face. She hears the crying and screaming of the other children, and the endless gunshots that shake the air. She praises the sun as it turns her skin a soft golden brown. The gentle wind from the ocean goes unnoticed. She taps her foot annoyed by the honking of cars, and children laughing with their friends. She hasn?t eaten in days. The water she drinks a murky brown. But she is happy as she can mange. She knows she is lucky to have something. The other children are jealous of her polluted water, because its something to sooth their searing throats. She eats in gourmet restaurants, when she?s not even hungry. She returns her plate or glass, because the first wasn?t just right. She spends her days refilling through trash. Hoping, searching for something to sleep on, or if she?s lucky something to wear tonight as it drops below zero. She spends her days at boutiques, buying things she knows she will never wear. She?s still upset it didn?t come in her size, or perhaps it just wasn?t the right shade of blue. She returns to a pile of ripped rags, and a soggy car board box, her home. She?s young and alone. Just trying to be strong, with her parents gone. Murdered for the crumbs or pennies they had. She returns to her home only to throw her bags across her king sized bed, and to change into another dress. Ignoring the family she has, she quickly leaves and goes back out, her life carefree. She will be married off. To a man she never met. Whose three times her age. Who she will never love. Buy maybe, just maybe, He wont hit her, when he?s mad. She prays he?s nice, maybe, she hopes, he will let me eat his scraps, so I can live. Her parents are paying for everything. Her convertible. Her closets full of clothes that she never wears. The Ivy League school she couldn?t care less about. And she will choose who she will date. And she?s already planning her wedding. With hundreds of guests and her pricey Victorian gown. The sun is setting on a world, Where one girl?s face is covered with dirt and streaks of tears. Where one girls face is painted with glitter and beautiful colors. One girl is starving and dejected, but is happy for what she is given. Another has everything, more than everything. But she will never be pleased, with all her fancy clothes to keep her warm, or her living family, whom she ignores. The sun sinks below the horizon. Plunging one girl in darkness and fear. The other doesn?t notice as she dances through the night. (more...)

Resolved Question: What should I expect from my girlfriend on my one year anniversary?
It was my one year anniversary with my girlfriend today. I drove her out to the countryside, took her to a gourmet brunch, and then went horseback riding. I got her flowers, chocolate, jewelry, and even wrote her a humerus poem about our relationship. Basically, I did everything. Now, in the past, she has done a ton for me...and done really thoughtful things. However, she did absolutely nothing for our anniversary. She even asked if we might be back in time so she could go to a friend's show. Um, I'm not usually sensitive, but HELP! How do I send the message that this is not cool. (more...)

Resolved Question: my boyfriend is a cheap-skate...are all men like this or is it just mine? Should I dump him???
Ok here's the deal. We've been together a year and a half. For our first vanentine's day, he cancelled or date because it was snowing and he didn't feel like being out in the cold. He said he'd take me out the next day but didnt get around to it until a week later. So for our 1st valentines I ended up hanging out with another friend. For his birthday I bought him a nice mens cologn set. For my birthday we went to Hershey Park, PA. I helped pay for the trip so I thought that it was just something fun to do for my birthday. Upon our return he said the trip was my present (I didnt get a gift). How could the trip be my present when I helped pay for the trip???? For our second valentine's together, I know he has a 'sweet tooth' so I bought him some really nice chocolate from this gourmet chocolate shop close to where I work. It was nicely wrapped and put in a gift bag...everything done at the chocolate shop. Then I made a card with a nice poem I wrote myself. When I presented him with his gift he got mad at me because he got me nothing so after I got pissed he dashed out of the house to go buy me flowers and cheap chocolate from the corner store. What's the point if you give someone a gift after the fact...he didnt plan to give me a gift so why bother? Then last month my birthday rolled around again. And once again we went to Hershey Park. (I actually like amusement parks so we wanted to check out the new rides). Once again I helped pay for the trip because I thought BF would have learned his lesson from last year. Low and behold when we got back he had the nerve to tell me the trip was my birthday gift. At this point I thought he was kidding, but the guy was serious. Then a few days ago he had the nerve to ask me what I'm getting him for his birthday in October? I told him nothing since I always get him stuff and never gets me anything. We live together, I cook, I clean, I do everything and the least he could do is show some appreciation. He doesn't cheat. He hugs me and kisses me all the time and tells me he loves me but his words say one thing then his actions confuse me. Are all men like this and should I just learn to live with it and let it go or is he a cheap-skate who is undeserving of everything I do for him who needs to be kicked to the curb??? Please help because quite frankly I am starting to wonder if this is the right guy for me! I know its the thought that counts and I'm not trying to be picky. I do make more money than him but I am always an after thought when it comes to special occasions. Its just a bummer! (more...)

Resolved Question: I found this poem in my g/f's computer. I am mad as hell!?
Holidays used to be so special to me, Especially spending it with a loved one But now you choose to spend most of them with your rock&roll musician friends Although you say I'm welcome to come along... What the fuck is that supposed to say? Your music and friends are your main priority. So why did I waste the past six years with you? I'm not saying we didn't have a number of good times But when I look in the mirror, I don't see much anymore I remember when I first met your mom, She said you'd give the shirt off your back to your friends Before you would do anything for your own family. I though it'd be different with me, but in the end...it wasn't. You helped me max out my credit cards You'd be so thankful during all the gourmet meals And all the expensive music equipments you talked me into But after the sale was done, you'd leave to be with your musician friends In our 30s, I just can't see the meaning in getting so high you can't answer me, Getting so drunk you barf in the hallway and don't want to clean it up the next day I asked you for a $1 carnation for over a year now You couldn't even do that. What the fuck is wrong with me to remain here? Sayanora. It's true but I'm afraid she's going to write a bunch and publish them and humiliate me or something. (more...)
