We currently list only those maps that are in the public domain. These maps vary significantly in image density, size, wear, visual appeal, and quality. The Five States of Colorado
The Five States of Colorado Within the boundaries of Colorado are many dividers, both geographic and human. In fact, there seem to be five distinct regions, each with its own history, geography, and economy. Each region commands a certain loyalty from its citizens and has its own ideas about how things should be done. The Five States of Colorado are regions within the states man-made boundaries, whose cultures and economies have evolved from the land and its history.

Open Question: parents peace corps-Swaziland 1970s-information? help?!!?
Hey, My parents served the peace corps in the 1970s in Swaziland My godfather was a student of there's who is now in the US with a family and is a Very successful doctor my parents spent two years there teaching school, my father did metal working/woodworking my mom did reading and other things, my godfather is pure African, My parents have always told me from when I was little about Africa. I'm working on a school report about it now and this report alone is half of my grade, I'm trying to track down photos and information about them and what it was like when they were there. I'm not sure if I'm spelling this right but my godfathers name is Begamoosa as in beg-a-mouse-a they've always talked about seeing fighter jets flying over with neutron-bombs on them and coming back later with out any bombs. I've seen slide shows of them in African attire spears beads, what you would see the African hunters wearing in ghosts of the darkness type dress standing with a Family. also the game park having a sing with the number of people killed by snakes(only white people were on the sign) as the school master told them they didn't count their own on the sign because there would be just to many. I would really like to find some photos of them or the school they worked at any information would be great, also I'm not sure the EXACT year they were there, but the king after they left stepped down and let his son into power, also his son (the king) was a student of theirs. this almost history is one thing that I would like to record write down learn as much as possible about it and let others know about it. My parents went into the peace corps in boulder colorado I believe. few of the others that went with them got sent home for AIDS/home sicknes and other things. my parents last name is Gossett. also part Cherokee one of the more disliked family's of the Cherokee as I have heard. thank you for reading if you can give me any information or tips anything at all would be great! -Matt correction on my godfathers name bega moosa as in beg-a-moose-a (more...)

Resolved Question: Why the Rays will suck in 09?
Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers does this gave you an ideal of what I'm talking about? Over the last three years teams surprisingly rose from the laughing stock of baseball to a World Series appearance. All three of them lost and the same stories comes out during the off-season "NEXT YEAR WILL BE THERE YEAR". I don't think so. In fact two out the three years the teams didn't even make the playoffs after there world series appearance (Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers). I feel the Rays will suck again because the would not be able to sneak up on teams like they did last year and the history says so. Perole keep answering that Rays have a better piching staff than the Tigers did and I can't say that is so. Tigers had a young Justin Verlander who was domintated, Jeremy Bonderman a nice number two and Kenny Rogers who mastered teams in the playoffs. Plus there bullpen was way better than the Rays. Todd Jones, Joel Zumaya, Fernando Rodney in 06 were simply masterful. Who on the rays staff brought it like Zumaya out of the rays bullpen. Resolved Question: i need advice/information on proving my best friend's innocence?
i'm 15 years old and so is my best friend. we both live in colorado, in america. his mom is constantly yelling at him and tearing him down, and his dad gets drunk and beats him up. a couple days ago his dad pushed him into a cabinet and he got scared and punched him (for the first time ever). now he's in juvey because his dad is pressing assult charges even though it was self-defense. The parents stick up for each other, so they lie to protect each other. i talked with the detention center and it seems everything is up to the parents so i can't contact him or help him much. he doesn't want to live with them/put up with them anymore, i have witnesses (including my parents) of his parents' abuse, my friend isn't violent and has no history of violence, i've called social services on his parents, but he's still in deep trouble. i have several questions: 1)is there anything the witnesses or i can do to help prove my friend's innocence? 2)if he was convicted of assult, what could the punishment be? 3)if he was relocated to a different home, would it be in the same area as his current home? thanks i don't know how to contact the defense attorney because i don't currently have contact with my friend. i tried going through the police and his detention center, but they said the only people that could have access to that information is his parents. big help there. Voting Question: do you agree with me? take a look i think you will be suprised?
Words of a sad man, philosolophers how can one possibly define that? I will sum it up in one sentence talkers. To many, these people have been revered as the great thinkers of our time. There have been classes revolving around words these ?great thinkers? of our time have said. How much do we really know about these men? If they were soo right then why is it that Michael Jackson can?t be with a 10 year old boy? Why are we so set in this archaic vision of how the world should be run? Why do we as people sit and idealize the past? I know from where I?m standing that these talkers are not of my time. My time is full of corrupt men in an office that dictates war, finances, peace, resolve, or whatever bullshit they can shill at the time. These are the same men that probably could quote one of these talkers on the spot if presented the opportunity. They have become the great thinkers of my time. They will be revered in history books that my great, great grandchildren read. The thought of this makes me ill. If you don?t think so grab your history book. This institution that we as a collective have bought into is appalling. Our founding fathers had it right the first time. But the greed of man has taken its toll on the American constitution. Which has been revised and basicly rewritten? To form loop holes for backstabbing men with a sense of power that has been brought on by money that I might add is on loan to the United States government. We bought bullshit. A politician who went to Harvard and learned to talk fancy, and tell a story of how his father was a working class citizen, and how he struggled to get to where he is today. Your struggle was to get backing from some company that needs a very powerful man to help sway the people into paying outrageous prices for gas, or supporting a war that sends into recession or potentially a depression. While the average hard working American struggles the elected officials fly around on private jets and stay in a five diamond hotel because their hard work of kissing someone?s ass really takes a toll. They have all lied to you. Finding an honest politician is like finding a pink blueberry. They look for catch phrases like ?change?. What is that? Are you going to get rid of the Federal Reserve? are you going to take that seat in office and arrest these truly corrupt men that have lied to mass amounts of American people in order to receive a check that is paid for on money that is on loan? What the fuck are you actually going to do. I?ll tell you what?s going to transpire more talk from Washington. More bull shit shilling, it doesn?t matter who we put in office we are too far gone. It saddens me to look at what this country has become. Now back to my opening statement talkers. They go down in history with a filter. Ask your parent about a relative that you honestly know little about and see what comes up, will it be positive like this man freed slaves, or negative like this man was at the epicenter of Watergate. Only broad strokes are what we get. I have seen this happen twice in my life. A man stands on a podium in front of mass amounts of American people around the United States and lies. Then when all is forgotten he is forgiven for his wrong doings and put on a pedestal for what he accomplished while in office. Where is the connection you ask? They talk and get mass amounts of people to believe in what they say. Sometimes they say outstanding refreshing things that shock and amaze, but what action was taken on their part? What did the do aside from write or say things that sounded sooo smart and enticing? They followed lust. Be it for power or the love of a handsome young man that they admired from afar. I am sick of getting spoon fed lies from corrupt men. And I attach that to philosophers as well because in my time sleeping with a teenage boy while in adulthood is against the law and very immoral in my eyes and I think a lot of people would concede my point. If we don?t learn from the history that we have seen with our own eyes then we are bound to repeat it. My eyes are open and my mind learning. Give it some thought a talker going in a different direction. Wesley Kade Harris 2:21 am December 21, 2008 Silt, Colorado (more...)

Resolved Question: the history of time keeping?
Every nation around the world is on the same minute (For example, :46 after the hour) (but there a few "freak time zones" that are 15 or 30 minutes ahead or behind. When was the time standardized throughout the world, and why is it the way it is? Are their any other atomic time observatories elsewhere in the world besides in Boulder, Colorado, USA? Before time was standardized, how did people set their clocks? In the 16th century were people as precise as they are now when reciting the time. Like, if it was 12:38, would a person in the 16th century say "it's 12:38" or would he/she say something like "It's half-past noon" or "it's almost one"? How did people time things back then? This information is taken from their annual reports. An annual report is a summary of a company?s financial results for the year along with its current financial condition and future plans. This report is directed to external users of financial information, but it also affects the actions and decisions of internal users. A company uses an annual report to showcase itself and its products. Many annual reports include attractive photos, diagrams, and illustrations related to the company. The primary objective of annual reports, however, is the financial section, which communicates much information about a company, with most data drawn from the accounting information system. The layout of an annual report?s financial section is fairly established and typically includes the following: Letter to Shareholders Financial History and Highlights Management Discussion and Analysis Management?s Report Report of Independent Accountants (Auditor?s Report) Financial Statements Notes to Financial Statements List of Directors and Officers This appendix provides the financial statements for Krispy Kreme (plus selected notes), Tastykake, and Harley-Davidson. The appendix is organized as follows: Krispy Kreme A-2 through A-17 Tastykake A-18 through A-24 Harley-Davidson A-25 through A-30 Many assignments at the end of each chapter refer to information in this appendix. We encourage readers to spend time with these assignments; they are especially useful in showing the relevance and diversity of financial accounting and reporting. Special note: The SEC maintains the EDGAR (Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval) database at www.SEC.gov. The Form 10-K is the annual report form for most companies. It provides electronically accessible information. The Form 10-KSB is the annual report form filed by ?small businesses.? It requires slightly less information than the Form 10-K. One of these forms must be filed within 90 days after the company?s fiscal year-end. (Forms 10-K405, 10-KT, 10-KT405, and 10-KSB405 are slight variations of the usual form due to certain regulations or rules.)
