Voting Question: Does this guy sound desperate for female companionship ?
Last night I got board and I decided to play a trick on a 47 year old man who was offering free room and board to any single women in a time of need on the website, "craigslist.com" in the rooms/shared section. Yeah, I know, you probably think I have too much time on my hands. Think whatever you want to. But this guy sounds a bit like a predator to me. I was just wondering what you guys think I should do next. Hey, if anything I'm having fun with it lol.
Hi, my name is Jenna Patrick and I'm 21 years old, just turned 21 actually. I have to say that 2008 was a very rough year for me. I'm really looking forward to a better year in 2009, hopefully : ) I lost my dad to lung cancer in July of 2008 and my mom died when I was 5 years old. I don't really remember her all too well unfortunately. I guess I'm kind of in a bind right now because I can't find an honest and modest job that doesn't require at least a 2 year college degree lol, it really stinks. Michigan's economy seems to be in such a rut right now. I'm pretty close to being broke, it's getting pretty bad. I grew up in Castle Pines North (Colorado) and lived there till I was about 14 years old. After that, my dad moved my brother Wyatt and I to Santa Clarita California for a better paying job. He was never very good to us to say the least, I got mixed up with the wrong crowd, one thing lead to another and I found myself performing in Adult films. I think I did what I had to do in order to get by. After a while, I started feeling a little guilty about my behavior and decided to move somewhere far away from the California scene. I was getting tired with it all. One of my previous managers who I worked for in California has been harassing me on the phone to the point that I had to change my number. He says that I still owe him $23,680 dollars, at the time that I was in his movies, he said that the extra money was mine to keep. I think he's just mad because I won't shoot for him any more. I hope you don't think that I'm a bad person or anything for liking sex, I just don't think that I'm in the right frame of mind for shooting films right now, that's why I needed a change and moved to Michigan with my girlfriend Kat. Her full name is Katsumi but everyone calls her Kat. She has been in some films with me too. Hey, I guess all I'm saying is that I could use a place to stay for a while with a nice guy. You don't have to email me back, but the polite thing to do would be to email me, or at least let me know that someone else took the offer already. I don't think I can pay you with money, but I'm sure we could work something out if you know what I mean, Kat actually has family in Novi Michigan but its starting to get a little crowded over there and I don't always get along with her mom, you can probably imagine. Well sire, thank you for your time and I hope to receive an email from you soon.
Sincerely Jenna
P.s. I left you a link to one of my videos just in case you were wondering what kind of movies I performed in. They're pretty hard core to say the least lol. Hope to here from you soon. Oh yeah, I'm the second girl that comes in, no pun intended. Check out that mountain in the back, it's beautiful.

-hi jenna
well that was a very long e-mail,,and there was no link enclosed...let me explain the situation...i am a 47 year old single white male..i live in a very large one bedroom apartment,so sleeping arrangements would have to be made...i work a full time job so you would have the place to yourself the entire day every day...there is plenty of closet space here for you're clothes and stuff..you would not have to pay me any money...the only thing i would expect is that you buy you're own food and toiletries..my place is fully furnished and you would have access to the internet and unlimited calling on my land line telephone..so if this is something you may be interested in please feel free to write me back

Resolved Question: Sharks tied record with the 1944 Habs recently....so, Sharks vs. 1944 Habs, who wins?
I say the Sharks in a tight one.......most of the Habs would be about 90 years old and would skate as slowly as Joe Thornton.
Are the Sharks contenders or pretenders? (I think contenders)
Are the Bruins contenders or pretenders? ( I think pretenders)
Keith Tkachuk of the St. Louis Blues reached the 1,000-point milestone last week. Remember a couple of years ago when it appeared Tkachuk had a better shot at reaching the 1,000 Twinkies plateau?
Which of these was the craziest thing to happen in the little while?
1. CBC becoming the Canadian Burke Corporation
2. A Canadian coach for the Raptors
3. Jack Layton potentially being in the federal cabinet
4. The fall-out from the Sean Avery remarks
5. The Flyers fight back from a 5-1 3rd period deficit
6. O.J seeks court leniency as a "first time offender"

Resolved Question: Verbal abuse in the work place, need info...?
My boyfriend and I work in the same place, so I can vouch for him on this one.
My boyfriend went on lunch break today. He had to end it early because our property manager came in and yelled at him to "turn the f-ing tv off and get his ass back into the dispatch room."
He phoned our boss and out assistant boss, and both of them acted like they didn't care, standing up for our property manager, and our boss suggested that he eat in the dispatch office.
Our assistant boss has made it clear that she wants us to take our breaks and that eatig in the dispatch office will earn us a write up. It is a rule listed in the procedures manual.
The only problem is if we end up eating in the office, we will still be working and it seems a little unfair that we won't get paid for an half an hour because, as is the case in any work place, lunch is manditory.
I want information on any labor laws for verbal abuse and the right to a unpaid lunch break in colorado, anyone know a place where I can get that?
I also remember there being a phone number somewhere for an 'outside' HR office that can help employees, but can't remember the name of the company.
I did tell him he needs to make a HR report about this, and at my last job that I had to file a HR report on my boss, I had to tell her first otherwise it wasn't legal, does anyone know if he can go ahead and file the report without telling him the heads up first?
We are a contract security company, and if I understand it, the Labor Board should be able to help advise us on this, but if anyone knows of another place we can seek all the information we need about this, please let me know!
Thanks in advance!

Resolved Question: Flying out for a face to face interview, what should I expect?
am being flown out to Colorado for 6 different face to face interviews with different managers of the company that oversee different departments. All expenses are paid for the trip, so what should I expect out of this interview? Has anyone gone through a similar situation and what advice do you give? Also, they are fronting about 900$ for the plane ticket and everything, are my chances good of landing the job? Any info will help!
I just graduated from college and the position is a Career Leadership Opportunity in their finance department. The company is JBS USA, they are a massive meat processing and packaging company.

Resolved Question: Tips on a small town protest?
So I would like to stand outside my local Walmart and pass out this information. Along with some other information that tells more about this type of insurance employers can take out on the employees. Any good suggestions as far as creativity. I was just going to go pass them out at the door till ya know something happens like they tell me to leave. I probably will not leave because they have people from other places beg from money before you even get through the door. I do not want money just to pass this along.

What Every American Needs to Know
Excerpted, with permission, from James Hightower,"Thieves in High Places"
The owners of one of America's premiere retail corporations is comprised of five of the ten richest people in the world, all from the same family.
Their personal wealth eclipses $100 BILLION dollars. Last year the company's CEO was paid a cool $11.5 million, more than the annual salaries of 765 of his employees combined! The company's profits are over $7 BILLION annually.
In these difficult economic times how do they do it?
* This company runs ads featuring the United States flag and proclaims "We Buy American". In 2001 they moved their worldwide purchasing headquarters to China and are the largest importer of Chinese goods in the US, purchasing over $10 BILLION of Chinese-made products annually. Products made mostly by women and children working in the labor hell-holes China is famous for.
* Their average employee working in the US makes $15,000 a year, $7.22 per hour!
* These employees gross under $11,000 a year.
* The company brags that 70% of their employees are full time, but fails to disclose that they count anyone working 28 hours a week or more as full time.
* There are no health care benefits unless you have worked for the company for two years.
* With a turnover rate averaging above 50% per year, only 38% of their 1.3 million employees have health care coverage. -In California alone it's estimated that the taxpayers pay over $20 million annually to subsidize health care benefits for these employees who get none from this behemoth corporation.
* According to a report by PBS's "Now" with Bill Moyer, their managers are trained in what government social programs are available for these"employees" to take advantage of so that the company can pass on those costs to you and me. It allows them to not only keep their $7 BILLION in annual profits, but to do so by substituting benefits they refuse to provide with benefits paid for with taxpayer dollars.
* This company holds the record for the most suits filed against it by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A lawyer from "Business Week" (not exactly the bastion for supporting Labor) said, "I have never seen this kind of blatant disregard for the law." They had to pay $750,000.00 in Arizona for blatant discrimination against the disabled! The judge was so incensed that he also order them to run commercials admitting their guilt.
* The National Labor Relations Board has issued over 40 formal complaints against the corporation in 25 different states in just the past five years. The NLRB's top lawyer believed that their labor violations, such as Illegal spying on employees, fraudulent record keeping, falsifying time cards to avoid paying overtime, threats, illegal firings for union organizing etc., were so widespread that he was looking into filing a very rare national complaint against the company. (The company contributed $2,159,330.00 to GW Bush and the GOP in 2000 and 2002. The NLRB attorney was replaced when President Bush took office.).
* Nearly 1 MILLION women are involved in the largest class-action suit every filed against a corporation. Although women make up over 65% of this corporations work force only 10% of them are managers. The women who have become store managers make $16,400 a year LESS then the men.
* The corporation took out nearly 350,000 life insurance policies on their employees. They did not tell the employees and then named the corporation as the beneficiary. They are now being sued by numerous employees, and although the corporation has stopped this practice of purchasing what is known as "Dead Peasant Policy's", a company spokesperson stated, "The company feels it acted properly and legally in doing this."
* They force employees to work after ordering them to punch out. In Texas alone this practice of "wage theft" is estimated to have cost employees $30 million per year. Wage theft or "off-the-clock" lawsuits are pending in 25 states. In New Mexico they paid $400,000.00 in one suit and in Colorado they had to pay $50 MILLION to settle one class-action case brought against them. In Oregon a jury found them guilty of locking employees in the building and of forcing unpaid overtime.
* With 4,400 stores they practice "predatory pricing." They come into a community and sell their goods at below cost until they drive local businesses under. Once they have cap

Resolved Question: Can my medical leave of absence be denied?
I have worked at Wal-Mart in Colorado since April of 2006. on 11/18/08 I went to see my doctor two hours a way for a back problem. She said I need to be out of work for about a month. On the doctors note she put 11/18/08 to 12/18/08. I went to turn it in and they gave me a packet to fill out for an LOA. I had to drive back to my doctor to have her fill out a section and sign it. When I went to turn it in today, teh store manager was not there. The personal manager looked through the packet and she said the information looked all correct. She then said she doesn't think it will be approved because it is for this month. Is this legal, can Wal-Mart deny this leave of absence. If they do not approve it, what can I do?
