Open Question: Whats wrong with my 5 yr old lab?
He is an outdoor farm dog, so he usually stays in the garage, shed or back yard. Yesterday, I noticed he wasnt his usual jovial self. I called him to come in the house for the nite and he usually comes running like a bandit and is all excited. Yesterday, he stood up with his tail between his legs and slowly walked to the house. When he came in, he was licking his front paws and acted like he couldnt put his butt on the floor to lay down. He is listless and sleeping a lot. He quickly ate a sausage patty this morning, so his appetite is not affected. He also tore up a newspaper last nite while I was sleeping. Now he is back on the floor sleeping and looking like he is sick. What do you think is wrong? The vet is gone on a 2 week winter vacation and will not be back until Monday.

Open Question: What is typical weather like in South Lake Tahoe during 4th of July week?
I just found out I have that week off work, and I have timeshare that I
can trade. Looking to go somewhere with lots of outdoor activities
that has great weather at that time. 2 years ago I went to Vail, CO.,
and it was great, the year before I went to Salt Lake City, Utah, also
great. Looking for a great place to take a comfortably warm (not
hot and humid like it is here in the south) vacation, and I'm thinking
Lake Tahoe might be it this year.

Resolved Question: I'm going on vacation on saturday but...?
I'm supposed to get my period soon (today or tomorrow according to my calculations) even though I don't really feel it coming on... and I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to tampons. I can never get them in all the way and they make me extremely dizzy.
I'm going to the bahamas, which pretty much consists of swimming the whole time and other outdoor activities. so what should I do? any words of support? because i've been feeling really down about this. I have been looking forward to this trip for months and expected my period to come earlier :(
i've been trying to use tampons for 4 years, and i've always had the same reaction. and it just will NOT go in.

What are some of the fun things that you have done in your life that would naturally have been part of your son/daughter?s life had you raised them?
I?m so tired of mothers having to defend themselves here as though we?re crack-hos, drug addicts, etc. The truth is, that many of us are not.
What things do you enjoy doing on a daily basis or on a monthy/yearly basis (ie vacation) that would have been part of the up-bringing of your child had you the chance?
For me, my child would have experienced camping, canoeing, kayaking, and a big chunk of outdoor life, and an understanding of nature and the environment. As it is, my son spends most of his time inside on the computer gambling. I?ve been able to spend some time with him doing these outdoor activities and it?s so neat to see him enjoying these things as though he never thought he could do them himself.
So, tell me about what your son or daughter might have enjoyed or achieved had they been raised by you.
