So I would like to stand outside my local Walmart and pass out this information. Along with some other information that tells more about this type of insurance employers can take out on the employees. Any good suggestions as far as creativity. I was just going to go pass them out at the door till ya know something happens like they tell me to leave. I probably will not leave because they have people from other places beg from money before you even get through the door. I do not want money just to pass this along. Their personal wealth eclipses $100 BILLION dollars. Last year the company's CEO was paid a cool $11.5 million, more than the annual salaries of 765 of his employees combined! The company's profits are over $7 BILLION annually. In these difficult economic times how do they do it? * This company runs ads featuring the United States flag and proclaims "We Buy American". In 2001 they moved their worldwide purchasing headquarters to China and are the largest importer of Chinese goods in the US, purchasing over $10 BILLION of Chinese-made products annually. Products made mostly by women and children working in the labor hell-holes China is famous for. * Their average employee working in the US makes $15,000 a year, $7.22 per hour! * These employees gross under $11,000 a year. * The company brags that 70% of their employees are full time, but fails to disclose that they count anyone working 28 hours a week or more as full time. * There are no health care benefits unless you have worked for the company for two years. * With a turnover rate averaging above 50% per year, only 38% of their 1.3 million employees have health care coverage. -In California alone it's estimated that the taxpayers pay over $20 million annually to subsidize health care benefits for these employees who get none from this behemoth corporation. * According to a report by PBS's "Now" with Bill Moyer, their managers are trained in what government social programs are available for these"employees" to take advantage of so that the company can pass on those costs to you and me. It allows them to not only keep their $7 BILLION in annual profits, but to do so by substituting benefits they refuse to provide with benefits paid for with taxpayer dollars. * This company holds the record for the most suits filed against it by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. A lawyer from "Business Week" (not exactly the bastion for supporting Labor) said, "I have never seen this kind of blatant disregard for the law." They had to pay $750,000.00 in Arizona for blatant discrimination against the disabled! The judge was so incensed that he also order them to run commercials admitting their guilt. * The National Labor Relations Board has issued over 40 formal complaints against the corporation in 25 different states in just the past five years. The NLRB's top lawyer believed that their labor violations, such as Illegal spying on employees, fraudulent record keeping, falsifying time cards to avoid paying overtime, threats, illegal firings for union organizing etc., were so widespread that he was looking into filing a very rare national complaint against the company. (The company contributed $2,159,330.00 to GW Bush and the GOP in 2000 and 2002. The NLRB attorney was replaced when President Bush took office.). * Nearly 1 MILLION women are involved in the largest class-action suit every filed against a corporation. Although women make up over 65% of this corporations work force only 10% of them are managers. The women who have become store managers make $16,400 a year LESS then the men. * The corporation took out nearly 350,000 life insurance policies on their employees. They did not tell the employees and then named the corporation as the beneficiary. They are now being sued by numerous employees, and although the corporation has stopped this practice of purchasing what is known as "Dead Peasant Policy's", a company spokesperson stated, "The company feels it acted properly and legally in doing this." * They force employees to work after ordering them to punch out. In Texas alone this practice of "wage theft" is estimated to have cost employees $30 million per year. Wage theft or "off-the-clock" lawsuits are pending in 25 states. In New Mexico they paid $400,000.00 in one suit and in Colorado they had to pay $50 MILLION to settle one class-action case brought against them. In Oregon a jury found them guilty of locking employees in the building and of forcing unpaid overtime. * With 4,400 stores they practice "predatory pricing." A prominent Christian leader whose radio and magazine outreaches are solidly in support of biblically-based marriages ? and keeps in touch with millions of constituents daily ? says he cannot consider Arizona Sen. John McCain a viable candidate for president. "Speaking as a private individual, I would not vote for John McCain under any circumstances," said James Dobson, founder of the Colorado Springs-based Focus on the Family as well as the Focus Action cultural action organization set up specifically to provide a platform for informing and rallying constituents. Dobson, who always is careful to note that he's not speaking for the non-profit ministry, which cannot advocate for or against candidates legally, also doesn't hesitate to state his personal opinions on social or political issues and agendas. Several times he's talked to Republicans, the traditionally conservative political party, about the need to maintain the values of that large part of the U.S. population, or lose the support of those people. His most recent comments came during an interview on the Jerry Johnson Live program on KCBI 90.9 FM. The show host noted that pro-family conservatives already are thinking about the next cycle of leadership in the United States, which will be determined in the 2008 presidential and congressional elections. He also noted that McCain and New York mayor Rudy Giuliani appear to be the leaders. Then he asked Dobson to listen to a statement from McCain and respond. "I think, uh ? I think that gay marriage should be allowed if there's a ceremony kind of thing, if you wanna call it that ? I don't have any problem with that," McCain says. "Dr. Dobson, would you be comfortable with someone like John McCain as the ? conservative or Republican candidate for president?" Johnson asked. "Well, let me say that I am not in the office. I'm in the little condo so I can speak for myself and not for Focus on the Family," Dobson said in rejecting McCain's leadership. He noted that legislation he'd just been discussing on the program, regarding an attempt by Democrat leaders in Congress to create obstacles for ministries such as Focus to reach constituents with action messages about pending legislation, is being supported by McCain, too. "That came from McCain, and the McCain Feingold Bill kept us from telling the truth right before elections ? and there are a lot of other things. He's not in favor of traditional marriage, and I pray that we won't get stuck with him," Dobson said. The provisions of the new congressional proposal, hidden deep inside a plan to reform lobbying rules to eliminate the many recent scandals involving members of Congress, would require pro-family groups to provide documentation of their actions to the government any time they try to spark any "grass-roots" action. Phone calls, personal visits, e-mails, magazines, broadcasts, phone banks, appearances, travel, fundraising and other items all would be subject to government tabulation, verification and audits, Dobson said during a recent program. "On and on it goes." "Clearly, the objective here is to hide what goes on from the public and punish and silence those of us who would talk about what our representatives are doing," Dobson said of the plan by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev. American Family Association Chairman Donald Wildmon, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins and American Values President Gary Bauer joined Dobson in urging listeners to flood Capitol Hill with phone calls demanding those speech limits be removed. Wildmon characterized the Washington proposal as a message to the American public: "We don't want to hear from you, and this is the way we're going to handle it." "Dick Armey emerged from four years in the wilderness to blame conservative Christians for Tuesday's defeat. They were, he said, 'too involved' with the party. He can't be serious! Someone should tell him that without the support of that specific constituency, John Kerry would be president and the Republicans would have fallen into a black hole in '04," Dobson said in a story WND reported earlier. "Values Voters are not going to carry the water for the Republican Party if it ignores their deeply held convictions and beliefs," he said. "Republican leaders in Congress during this term apparently never understood, or they forgot, why Ronald Reagan was so loved and why he is considered one of our greatest presidents. If they hope to return to power in '08, they must rediscover the conservative principles that resonated with the majority of Americans in the 1980s ? and still resonate with them today. The only way we're going to get majority vote from the partners is if the donation is entirely, or at least largely, tax-deductible. We don't know how the tax laws apply to businesses as far as donating to 501c3's. Would someone with accounting knowledge please help me out, possibly providing a link even? The two 'architects' of the bill, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, both Dems, both corrupt. Re-Seeding the Housing Mess Once again the corrupt desperate Democrat party is trying to use funds that do not belong to them for their own gains. Here's the exact, amazing language from the Democratic proposal, breaking out how the money would be divided and dispensed: "Deposits. Not less than 20% of any profit realized on the sale of each troubled asset purchased under this Act shall be deposited as provided in paragraph (2). "Use of Deposits. 65% shall be deposited into the Housing Trust Fund established under section 1338 of the Federal Housing Enterprises Regulatory Reform Act . . . ; and 35% shall be deposited into the Capital Magnet Fund . . . "Remainder Deposited in the Treasury. All amounts remaining after payments under paragraph (1) shall be paid into the General Fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt." What we have here essentially are a pair of government slush funds created in July as part of the Economic Recovery Act that pump tax dollars into the coffers of low-income housing advocacy groups, such as Acorn. Acorn, one of America's most militant left-wing "community activist groups," is spending $16 million this year to register Democrats to vote in November. In the past several years, Acorn's voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri and Washington, while several of their employees have been convicted of voter fraud. Along with other potential recipients of these funds, including the National Council of La Raza and the Urban League, Acorn has promoted laws like the Community Reinvestment Act, which laid the foundation for the house of cards built out of subprime loans. Thus, we'd be funneling more cash to the groups that helped create the lending mess in the first place. This isn't the first time this year that Democrats have tried to route money for fixing the housing crisis into the bank accounts of these community activist groups. The housing bill passed by Congress in July also included a tax on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to raise an estimated $600 million annually in grants for these lobbying groups. When Fannie and Freddie went under, the Democrats had to find a new way to fill the pipeline flowing tax dollars into the groups' coffers. The information is startling to behold, but easy to verify. You only need to consider things you have never seen. I work quickly with ideas, and am deeply skilled in verifying information. News is definitely not your best source of information. Local, contemporary news is usually more accurate than national edited news which was adapted for propaganda by the news owners to aid their interests. Large Global Corporations, like military industrial complex, & pharmaceuticals own and control news; TV, books & movies. I speak publicly around the state to students and civic groups, Our Truth Seekers, meets at Top O Rock monthly for 3+ years, first Sundays from 2-4 pm. Many stay late in the evening. Some come from Huntington, Beckley & Wheeling. Anyone may call me in advance to visit my library - 1000s of incredible documents, eBooks, movies. I'm no one, I'm just a bridge to great people and knowledge that most will never see. Most choose to do what is popular, accepted, profitable, personal - helping theirselves, their families, friends & associates. Few have much regard for the community or the future. In America, all is bought & sold, including information. For a high price, important people and institutions have made persuasive presentations about incomplete information. To win an argument or persuade someone, you list items that favor your perspective. You ignore or hide information that favors a different conclusion. We use to have 1,000s of owners of newspapers & TV, but FCC rules have changed. 9 corporations have bought up 95% of main stream media in America. Sony, Disney, AOL/ Time Warner, Viacom, and others. General Electric owns ABC/ NBC. They only repeat information that helps them. They suppress or ignore information that would compromise their profit centers. GE is major player in the military industrial complex. The news teaches hate, war, conflict, to keep us subdued, yielding taxes and freedom to fight distant threats, which the elite create and exaggerate. I thought government & legislators controlled our world. Wrong ! World wide 10,000 or so people, who own the banks, corporations, military industrial complex, pharmaceuticals, news, and the legislators, own the money, most corporations & assets and the main stream media. They are working together for their gain, our loss. They create our world of information & perception, leading us to aid their increase in power and the lessening of our thought, freedom, wealth, health & safety. They are not working for our benefit. To ignore this, hoping that our legislators, courts, President will help us is the great illusion. We have to think, realize what is on going and take positive action, writing letters, meeting & telling others, to Awaken a Sleeping (apathetic - hopeless) America.
