Rich Dad's Advisors: Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver: Protect Your Financial Future
Rich Dad's Advisors: Guide to Investing In Gold and Silver: Protect Your Financial Future "Throughout the ages, many things have been used as currency: livestock, grains, spices, shells, beads, and now paper. But only two things have ever been money: gold and silver. When paper money becomes too abundant, and thus loses its value, man always turns back to precious metals. During these times there is always an enormous wealth transfer, and it is within your power to transfer that wealth away from you or toward you." --Michael Maloney, precious metals investment expert and historian; founder and principal, Gold & Silver, Inc.

The Advanced Guide to Investing Gold and Silver tells readers:

  • The essential history of economic cycles that make gold and silver the ultimate monetary standard.
  • How the U.S. government is driving inflation by diluting our money supply and weakening our purchasing power
  • Why precious metals are one of the most profitable, easiest, and safest investments you can make
  • Where, when, and how to invest your money and realize maximum returns, no matter what the economy's state
  • Essential advice on avoiding the middleman and taking control of your financial destiny by making your investments directly.

Topics examined include understanding gold's role in combating inflation and deflation, how to select a gold firm, the history of gold since 1971, storing gold, and government debt.

Open Question: Is This The Powerful TRUTH or What?
Dr. Manis teaches at one of the colleges here in Macon , He writes good editorials. This was in the Macon Telegraph. When Are WE Going to Get Over It? For much of the last forty years, ever since America "fixed" its race problem in the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts, we white people have been impatient with African Americans who continued to blame race for their difficulties. Often we have heard whites ask, "When are African Americans finally going to get over it? Now I want to ask: "When are we White Americans going to get over our ridiculous obsession with skin color? Recent reports that "Election Spurs Hundreds' of Race Threats, Crimes" should frighten and infuriate every one of us. Having grown up in "Bombingham," Alabama in the 1960s, I remember over hearing an avalanche of comments about what many white classmates and their parents wanted to do to John and Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King. Eventually, as you may recall, in all three cases, someone decided to do more than "talk the talk." Since our recent presidential election, to our eternal shame we are once again hearing the same reprehensible talk I remember from my boyhood. We white people have controlled political life in the disunited colonies and United States for some 400 years on this continent. Conservative whites have been in power 28 of the last 40 years. Even during the eight Clinton years, conservatives in Congress blocked most of his agenda and pulled him to the right. Yet never in that period did I read any headlines suggesting that anyone was calling for the assassinations of presidents Nixon, Ford, Reagan, or either of the Bushes. Criticize them, yes. Call for their impeachment, perhaps. But there were no bounties on their heads. And even when someone did try to kill Ronald Reagan, the perpetrator was non-political mental case who wanted merely to impress Jody Foster. But elect a liberal who happens to be Black and we're back in the sixties again. At this point in our history, we should be proud that we've proven what conservatives are always saying -that in America anything is possible, EVEN electing a black man as president. But instead we now hear that school children from Maine to California are talking about wanting to "assassinate Obama." Fighting the urge to throw up, I can only ask, "How long?" How long before we white people realize we can't make our nation, much less the whole world, look like us? How long until we white people can -once and for all- get over this hell-conceived preoccupation with skin color? How long until we white people get over the demonic conviction that white skin makes us superior? How long before we white people get over our bitter resentments about being demoted to the status of equality with non-whites? How long before we get over our expectations that we should be at the head of the line merely because of our white skin? How long until we white people end our silence and call out our peers when they share the latest racist jokes in the privacy of our white-only conversations? I believe in free speech, but how long until we white people start making racist loudmouths as socially uncomfortable as we do flag burners? How long until we white people will stop insisting that blacks exercise personal responsibility, build strong families, educate themselves enough to edit the Harvard Law Review, and work hard enough to become President of the United States, only to threaten to assassinate them when they do? How long before we starting "living out the true meaning" of our creeds, both civil and religious, that all men and women are created equal and that "red and yellow, black and white" all are precious in God?s sight? Until this past November 4, I didn't believe this country would ever elect an African American to the presidency. I still don't believe I'll live long enough to see us white people get over our racism problem. But here's my three-point plan: First, everyday that Barack Obama lives in the White House that Black Slaves Built I'm going to pray that God (and the Secret Service) will protect him and his family from us white people. Second, I'm going to report to the FBI any white person I overhear saying, in seriousness or in jest, anything of a threatening nature about President Obama. Third, I'm going to pray to live long enough to see America surprise the world once again, when white people can "in spirit and in truth" sing of our damnable color prejudice, "We HAVE overcome." Andrew Manis is author of Macon Black and White and serves on the steering committee of Macon's Center for Racial understanding. It takes a Village to protect our President!!! Open Question: How do museums protect precious works of art from patrons?
Do museums only allow certain people in to view the paintings if they're really expensive? I'm assuming they're real, or there would be no point in owning a copy if it weren't on display. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Starry-night-in-moma-gallery.jpg The link I gave shows Starry Night. You can see people around the painting. Obviously they are free to get as close as they want, so how is the painting protected in this case? Are those everyday people? Anyone can just walk in to see the painting? God people! Just answer the question! IF I WENT IN TO SEE A PRICELESS PAINTING, WHAT IS STOPPING ME FROM ATTACKING IT TO PURPOSLY RUIN IT!?!?!??! Resolved Question: Twilight Fans! Edward or Jacob?!?
Do you think that Edward Cullen is better for Bella or Jacob Black? Who would you choose? Tell me why? I would choose Edward because he is less likely to hurt Bella, his control is driven by his love for her. He only left her because he felt guilty for her being in danger, he wanted only to protect his 'precious' Bella and when he came back told her he was sorry and that he loved her, many ways and numerous times. Jacob will probably get mad at Bella (because face it, NOBODY'S, even Bella's and Edward's love, doesn't face anger once in awhile) and tear her up, just like Sam did to Emily (in New Moon) Jacob is over confident that he'll never hurt Bella and that could be a potential mistake-a big one. While, one the other hand, Edward is always making sure he doesn't go too far and beating himself up for the slightest things. This decreases the possibility of Edward hurting her. Any ways, that is just my opinion, let me know yours and why, and no i'm NOT giving best answer to whoever chooses Edward, best answer (10 pts.) goes to the person who best supports their opinionated side of their decision. good luck :P Ok, what is Team Switzerland? Some people have been saying that and I don't know what it is (I haven't read Eclipse yet) Also those that say "Use the searchbar", I have, I just wanted to put in my word in and what I think. Resolved Question: Has anyone had an 8 week old baby or younger with a congested nose and cold symptoms?
Our precious little boy is almost 8 weeks old and came down with a runny, stuffy nose and a fever of 100.6. The pediatrician said babies sometimes get cold this early in life and we have to see how he progresses. I feel as though I'm a horrible parent for not protecting him enough. His 18 months old sister has a cold and maybe he got it from her. But then I heard that babies under 2 months almost never get sick unless something is wrong with their immunity. I feel as though I'm going to cry all of the time. Please someone tell me that other babies this young can suffer from colds??? (more...)

Voting Question: Why does society coddle women so much and do you think this will ever change?
http://www.frederica.com/writings/men-pr... Men's lives are risked even as teenagers. In pizza delivery shops men are sent to deliver shady pizzas. I have heard of places where women have their own bus stops. and ALL men are expected to protect ALL women. I have never seen a woman die for a man that she wasn't related to. http://www.ifeminists.net/introduction/e... Yup. Discrimination on ships. I bet women still survive at higher rates than men. As soon as a female POW is in trouble the whole world comes running in yet nine men were allowed to be shot. Yet when a woman dies its a big deal. And newspapers make a bigger deal out of one woman dying compared to numerous men. I have never seen a woman work long hours to support a man or family. Nor have I ever seen a woman take care of a sick or dying spouse. And how unfair is it that women get to retire earlier and don't have to sign up for the draft. Lets not even go into why women live longer. Or why men commit suicide more often than women. Or why the majority of the homeless are men. Or why divorce courts favor women. Or why women receive less punishment than men for anything. Or why 70% of husbands make more money than wives yet women do 80% of the spending. Or why And in exchange for all this women punish men. Women are allowed to hit cheating men, and men who make unwanted sexual advances. I am sure the same does not apply to men whose honor has been compromised. I have never heard of a woman attack another woman for hitting a man. Society is pretty messed up if men protect women and women abuse men. I'm generalizing here. I am sure there are numerous examples of good women. I do know families where the woman works and the man is retired. and women do die to save men both in the military. I know there are heroic women. Here is one who protected her male soldiers http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4... And a woman who died to protect her husband http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/artic... And a woman who poured her heart and soul into rescuing her husband http://www.lhj.com/relationships/can-thi... And women who even save their husbands and fathers by beating out flames with their bare hands http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-... http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.ht... And women do take care of their parents. And form charities to help men. And women give more organs than men and men receive more organs than women. And I know women give more blood marrow and blood. And I have heard of women in African countries torn apart by war travel long distances to get food for their husbands and children. But in general a woman is cared for MORE and is the one who is considered to be precious and valuable and is coddled and taken care of more. Men are the nurturers of the family. Men are the ones that keep everyone together. Women expect men to do all the asking out. I'm not saying women should be facing all the rejection but what's wrong with meeting a man half way. Women are hardly the nurturing caring one's either. A man is always a woman's emotional rock. A WOMAN IS NEVER THE ONE WHO IS LESS EMOTIONAL AND HIS ROCK. SHE IS NEVER HIS NURTURER AND EMOTIONAL PROTECTOR. NO MATTER HOW FAR INTO THE RELATIONSHIP HE TAKES MORE RISKS. A woman is allowed to cry at physical pain. Women give less sympathy when partners are sick Nor have I ever seen a woman do the protective things men do for wives, and even friends such as giving up seats(and standing uncomfortably on buses for hours), getting the car in the rain, giving up jackets, carrying heavy objects, walking home, driving her home, calling a cab to take her home safely, carrying her when she falls down , calling to make sure she got home safely, holding doors, paying, walking street side and positioning himself in between her and any vicious dog or threat. Even in relationships a man gives more massages, gives up his jacket, gets the car when its raining, gives up shoes if hers breaks, gives up food, gives up the safer car, gives up the health insurance, checks on the noise downstairs, drive in unsafe conditions, gives up his umbrella, gives up his seat, has security systems installed for her, walks her home, drives her home, calls her a cab, gives more in general, calls to make sure she got home safe, comes over in the middle of night to take care of her, does more to cheer her up, carries her heavy packages, picks her up form the bus station at night, saves her and her car from a ditch, makes her feel safe, carries her when she falls down. He is more likely to step in between her and vicious dog or take a bullet for her than vice versa. He gets a vasectomy so she can avoid a tubal( vasectomies are safer the tubals but a vasectomy carries the risk of YEARS of discomfort and pain(what type of woman would let a man risk that)-one guy said even if it was more unsafe he would still take the pain for his wife-no woman thinks like that). Resolved Question: An open letter to Casey Anthony and her supporters?
How could you do it? Did u hate that baby that much? Why didn't u kill yourself instead? You left that child in a bag in the woods, didn't report her missing for a month while u so called did your own investigation(even though to me it looked as if u were partying). You have never cried for that child, in prison u sit there feeling sorry for yourself, but I guess u knew all along where she was in the first place. I hope your days and nights are filled with images of that baby, I hope she haunts you for the rest of your miserable life. Caylee will never graduate high school, go on to college, marriage, kids. because of the one person in life who was supposed to protect her. You were thinking of your own freedom, you didn't want to be a mom to that precious baby girl, you wanted to party, I don't get it how could u, how??? someone please explain how anyone not less that child's mother(you know what u weren't her mother a mom would never do that) I rest assured that Caylee never spent one night in that bag, she was with God in heaven safe from you where u could never harm her again. I hope you get death over and over again may u have nightmares of what will happen to you until your miserable life is over. All of these great answers, I have no idea which to choose. Im so sad about that baby, there is just no reason for this. (more...)

Resolved Question: Advice for "boarding" my friend's Corvette?
My friend is moving into a small rental after losing his house in the ARM mess. He wants to "board" his Corvette under my carport. How do I help my friend and still protect my liability regarding this precious possession? He will have a cover on the car, but it's still only a carport. I would want to be sure both our interests are protected, and that nothing would affect our friendship. His car is paid for. I own my home. I have only one vehicle, so having another car there is not a problem. (more...)

Resolved Question: My 4 yr old son says his grandpa pulls his penis...?
We moved away for a year and are now back in town since July and my son and his grandpa (my ex's dad) have been catching up on lost time with eachother. They see eachother once a week and it's usually a sleep over. About a month ago, my son said something to the effect of grandpa touching down there, but I couldn't get him to go into detail. I let a few days go by after that before they saw eachother again, because I was shook up and didn't know what to think. Didn't expect this from grandpa and didn't know if my son was elaborating anything. Gut instinct was to keep him away. Anyways, he's been to see him a couple of times since and last night he came home saying "ding a ling" and I asked him what that meant cause in our house we call it penis. His response was that that's what Grandpa calls it or he calls it "lizard". I asked him if Grandpa touches it and he said yes, so I had him show me. He said he tickles him, licks his stomach, and pulls his penis through his pants.(Like a guy adjusting himself) After telling me this, he said "But my Grandpa loves me". I asked further q's and different ones to see if his answers would change but they didn't. After his bath when he was naked I asked him to show me again how Grandpa touches him and he played with his whole package, not just tugging on it. I then asked him to pretend he was his Grandpa and a teddy bear was him and to show me what Grandpa does to him. He showed me tickling, licking the stomach in circles, then playing with the penis area. My ex (remember Grandpa's his dad) and I do not get along and I called him and told him in a very nice way what our son told me, and he thinks I'm trying to tear him away from his Grandpa which I would never do. I think/thought he was the BEST Grandpa in the world. My ex also tried to make it sound like it was odd, but not that wierd of behavior- almost like it's acceptable. I can imagine it must be very hard for him to fathom the idea of this happening, because it's hard for me and he's not even my dad. But it makes me angry that he doesn't take what our precious son says seriously. I'd rather be cautious and protect my son and then ask questions, but how do I confront Grandpa? On top of this being a crappy situation, he's hard of hearing, so it would be a yelling match from the beginning. My ex said he'd write Grandpa an email, since he can't hear well on the phone, "maybe if he knows our son is telling you, he'll stop" is his solution. But I'd rather confront him in person to see his response, which I'll have to do by myself or bring my mom along for support because my ex is in another state. What do I do? I have to believe my son - if I didn't I'd be a terrible parent. But what if this is a false accusation? (I've been reading about kids under the age of 5 or 6 making false accusations) I don't think it is, but it's such a touchy subject. My son is smart and I taught him at an early age about no one being aloud to touch his private parts. Help! For those of you that think I am a complete idiot- I believe my son, I'm not going to let him see his grandpa anymore, and I am going to confront him face to face. I'm just sad at what has happened because he used to be the best grandpa and I'm upset at how my ex is responding to this very serious situation. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going over board by my response to this situation. My mom was molested by her grandpa as well, so I guess I already know the answer. I'm just going crazy inside and needed an outlet. I'm offended by some comments like the one saying I'm "so in denial". I'm almost sorry I posted this question. And I wasn't interrogating my son Alpha538... When kids are that little, you can ask the same question a million different ways and they can give you a million different answers! When they give you the same answer to a lot of different questions about the same subject, then you know they're not confusing for instance, touched while getting bathed or something (even though that's inappropriate too). I just wanted to be confident and sure before I confront his perverted grandfather. (more...)

Resolved Question: how can i make him see the right way?
my BF has an 8 year old boy.He sees him most weekends. my problem is with the way he is bringing him up when he is over at ours. He doesn't seem to have an interest in protecting or educating him etc. He lets him watch films that are 12 15 and 18, i try to tell him that this wee boy is only 8 and that letting him see adult content is damaging! HIs son also has an increasing obsession with video games, and of course my BF lets him play games that are too big for him and far too violent, it's this that really worries me, my BF thinks there is no harm in letting his son play the ps3 for 11hrs a day then watch dvd's till he falls asleep. on top of all this the wee boy is failing at school, he cant spell or write, i keep asking to stop this video/tv/dvd nonsense and educated him on the things that really matter such as education/personal developement and manners, becuase the wee boy has none, he is disrepectful to his dad and my BF doesn't see it becuase in his eyes his son cant do anthing wrong. my BF wont stop or even limit the time spent on games or tv. this wee boy thinks that playing violent computer games and watching life through a tv is normal, this is the scariest part keeping in mind that he is 8 he has never been on skates and only learned to ride his bike last year. My BF does take him out, we all go to the park, out on the bikes, but all he wants to do is play that dammed ps3 it is always on his mind! i feel so sad everytime he is over, known that their precious time is wasted and putting a hugh strain on my realtionship with his dad. if anyone can help or give me any advice it would be great! even tho he isnt my child he is a very big part of my life, i would be an idiot to stay out of it so yes it is my place!!!!
