DO you think you life is already destined or fate has planned your life already..? and do you believe in the if its meant to be it will happen saying? in my opinion i feel as though you can change the outcome of life. one of my experiences are my cousin wanted to go to his friends house one day but he couldn't go because my aunt his mom said he cant because i broke one of his toys and he punched me, which got him grounded. well at the friends there were two other boys one my best friend and they were playing with a gun they said it wasn't loaded but somehow it went off and killed my friend. and ever since then i felt as it could have easily been my cousin who died that day. but i intervened not on purpose but somewhat maybe changed the course of that day and his life? call me crazy but, im just curios.. I am asking this because my consultation for jaw surgery is coming up. I've already had bicuspid extractions and so my jaw does click and doesnt have the optimal strength a jaw would otherwise have had teeth never been extracted. Does this mean the surgeon will deny my case? on which grounds medically do they deny clients? what physiological/medical test would I have to fail? i am planning on getting top and bottom jaw changed (maxilla pushed back, and the mandible's ramus (the area of the jaw beneath the ear) made longer. a lot of this is for cosmetic purposes (more...)

I finally finished my degree this quarter, in relgous studies. My last class was based on the Historical Jesus, but I digress. People like to say jesus was perfect. My question is by what definition is he perfect, or even a good man? Jesus kills 2,000 pigs, by taking demons out of one man and casting them into the heard, driving them into the sea (which actually was 20 miles away from the town cited in the christian bible). He could have cast the demons inot just one pig, or into a bird, a rock, or straigh back to hell. But instead jesus chooses the most destructive means possible, a demon pers pig. He killed 2000 inocent living pigs. They were not wild bores, they were property. Jesus killed an innocent mans livestock, and a family's livelihood. Good one jesus. In the temple jesus makes a whip and physically attack the money changers, and tosses over table of sacrificial animals. The money exchaners served a valuable purpose, and were by tradition allowed to be in the public part of the temple. Without hte money exchangers, the people who came to sacrifice to god would not have been able to purchase the sacrifical animals. No one was doing anything wrong by jewish law (god's commanded law) yet jesus attacks them. And both by jewish and roman law causing a disturbance of this manner in the temple was grounds for arrest. When a sumarian woman comes to beg jesus to heal her child he calls her people dogs, a racial slur. Jesus says all who calls another a fool in anger is surely in danger of hellfire yet he calls the pharisees and others fools on 3 seperate oocasions. If you daubt this I welcome you to earn a degree in religous studies yourselves, or grab a bible and read. By his own standard jesus was a hypocrite. By the laws of his time he was a criminal. By the ethical standards of our time he was a jack ass. So why do people say jesus was a good man? (more...)

I received a letter from the City of Los Angeles informing me that I have a scheduled Firefighter exam. The problem is that even though on my online application I informed them on EVERYTHING from my past, I do in fact have some past character issues. 1) like most people I have dabbled in some recreational drugs, namely ecstasy and Marijuana, but I am not and never was a frequent user or addict. 2) I have a G.E.D. 3) I have a traffic related Misdemeanor from 2004, and was arrested, and arrested again for a bench warrant in Febuary 2007 stemming from that case. 4) I have spent a majority of my life as a 'starving' artist, and never became grounded at any job that I occupied. I am 29 today(I look 18). Here are some brief positives: 1) I am in excellent physical shape 2) I am quick, cool headed under pressure, and smart. 3) I can and do take direction, and I am also a proven leader. 4) I opened my own small business in 2006 pertaining to my art, legitimized in July 2007 w/the County. 5) I now have an eight month old daughter, whom I am totally focused and has grounded me, so much so that I am willing to switch paths and give up my art, NO questions asked! I know that I can do the job, both mentally and physically. It took me a while, but I have grown up. It's hard when you had to guide yourself by living through mistakes, but regardless I take full responsibility. I want a new purpose in life and my daughter deserves the life that I can afford her. p.s. Once again, I wrote ALL of the bad stuff and job stuff on my application. Do I have a shot? This wan't all of a sudden, or thirst for glory or anything like that. Firefighting, Police officer, and military were two things that were on my mind since high school, it's just that I folowed one path and it didn't pan out. Example of who I am: I'm an avid painter and poet just as hobbies, but I am also a very good football player(QB/S) Kind of get my eclectic personality? That is why I said SWITCH not change.
