Resolved Question: How do I add more information after the question is resolved?
Jeff had more specifics on insulators. I don't know how to find his question or how to reply to him, new to this. Basically the more air trapped in the insulation in bubbles and the tinier the bubbles the better the insulation. The air space inhibits the passage of heat, sound, etc. Starbucks paper cup would be better than ceramic and styrofoam better than paper in insulating from heat. Therefore the heat of the coffee would be kept the longest in styrofoam, paper cups, and ceramic in that order.

Voting Question: is mold on the exterior of the plastic sheeting under a used mobile home dangerous? what should i do? thanks!
after buying the motor home i found out that water from the water source in the rv park had been standing under the trailer for a long time. i was planning to move the home so thought this would be resolved but now do not know that i should move or keep this due to what looks like mold on the surface of the black plastic sheeting containing the insulation under the trailer. also, it s there a problem if water gets into the insulation? this is my first experience with a mobile home & do not know who to ask. mobile home dealers have not been able to answer my question. please help.

Resolved Question: How do you resolve an Insulation Resistance fault?
I have a Philips DVD+R machine that will not pass it's insulation resistance test. The reading I am being given is 6.5 Megaohm. The lead itself is fine. How can I modify the DVD recorder to be safe enough to get through the test?
The player is class two, and so does not have an earth. The insulation resistance of the lead is absolutely fine, which points to a fault with the player.

Resolved Question: I have a leak on the lintel above my window water dripping inside when raining and for hours after.?
I had cavity wall insulation injected in march. I have lived in the house for 5 years and it hasnt happened before. The surveyor is coming to check from the insulation company after i insisted(the manager says it is not their problem as it must be structural) they also say water cannot absorb through render and blockwork and the rock wool insulation and pass inside. I have inspected the concrete lintel and it appears that it spans the cavityand there are no weepholes above. The house is 1960's traditional cavity. I need help so that the surveyor cannot fob me off and blame us, should a survey have been carried out by them and any problems highlighted before the work was done? what can i say to them to resolve the problem as i really do think the problem has arisen from the cavity being filled? all advice appreciated.

Resolved Question: Home Air Conditioning Problem?
Hello, I have been in my home for about 8 years, and have always had AC problems. The AC just doesn't cool the house down like it should. We have it set on 81 during the day, and 80 at night, and my bill is about $250.00 a month. We have had the energy audit done two times, all checked out OK with the AC unit, the insulation, the duct work, etc. We have had 3 different AC companies come to our house, and all say that the AC is working OK in terms of temp of air coming out, and the temp of the air going in. We have a 1900 sf home. I am so tired of the high energy bill when we sit under fans all day just to stay cool. I don't know what else to do, or who I could PAY to tell me the problem. If it isn't the AC, and it isn't the insulation or the duct work, what else could it be? It is so frustrating to go through this. I am in Florida and it is hot. I really could use any advice or help getting this resolved. House was built in 1998, uses a 3 Ton Trane AC unit.
