Linking these cliffhanging episodes are such hilarious segments as "Fractured Fairy Tales," which upend familiar storybook favorites (Red Riding Hood, for example, is a predatory fur merchant after the unwitting wolf), "Mr. Peabody," the canine genius who travels through time in the company of his boy, Sherman, and forthright Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties, who must contend with his own horse for the affections of sweet Nell. Bullwinkle gets extra credits as Mr. Know-It-All and as the host of Poetry Corner. And watch him pull a rabbit out of his hat! i live in southern california in a beach town. don't get me wrong, i like it here. my grandparents live in canmore, a little Albertan town in the Canadian rockies. i love it there. so much that i have spent my summers there since i was 8. my entire family (and me) are all from Canada and i just feel so at home there. i am 16 and graduating grade 10. i think my parents would be upset and i don't know if they would let me...but i am dying to move there. i feel so out of place in this beach town cause i am a mountain girl! the only thing that gets me thru is knowing i get to go back to Canmore. it is the only place that makes sense to me. i can't even begin to describe, but that place has made me who i am today. i cry just thinking about it and writing this. what should i do? Looking for suggestions. We are doing a delayed honeymoon so season doesn't matter - - will leave on a Saturday morning and come home the following Sunday (8 days). My fiance hates the beach . Also, right now he doesn't have a passport (I'm working on that) so we need to keep it to the US. I absolutely LOVE the idea of flying into Phoenix and hitting Sedona, Grand Canyon, and jumping over to NM to visit one of my favorite charities Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary ( http://www.wildspiritwolfsanctuary.org/ ) A few of these also interested me: http://www.uncommonjourneys.com/destinations.htm the Northwest, West, and South all look so great. The Canadian Rockies would be fantastic if we get the fiance a passport. Maine is another possible I have been considering. Its on me to plan & he's always liked what I plan but I want to make this memorable! Do you have any ideas/suggestions? I know the canada rules - I have family in BC. The wedding is Oct '09, after the passport is a must for driving over the border and since we know we will be postponing, it probably won't be until 2010 when we go. My friend just started dating this girl he met at the beach. She's got some weird habits that have started to concern him though. She was wearing a hat, that he thought was for the sun, but she wouldn't remove it. When it started raining, then she took it off. When the sun came back and got really hot, she went to her car and put on a heavy winter coat lined with - get this - "Platypus wool". He though she was just a little odd, but they went skiing and she wore shorts and a tank top in the Rockies. Also, she likes to bike, and he thought she was healthy because she rides her bike everywhere, but it turns out, she only rides it for distances of a mile or more. If it's around the block, she drives her car, even to go thirty feet in the city, she insists on using the car. She also told him she doesn't believe in airplanes and refuses to go to an airport to see proof. Is she joking, trying to make him go crazy, or is she a loon herself? (more...)
