Beethoven's Wig, Vol. 2: More Sing-Along Symphonies From a pure-pleasure standpoint, the first Beethoven's Wig was nothing to flip over, and the second disc in the series follows suit. However, that is not to say that this is not a valuable and possibly ingenious record. Those unfamiliar with the premise will quickly get the picture: Producer/writer/lead singer/chief clever guy Richard Perlmutter gathers a bundle of important classical works (Paganini's "Violin Concerto #2," Strauss' "Blue Danube Waltz") and makes up silly, catchy lyrics to lay over them, informing the listener about the piece or its composer. Standing out for their offbeat brilliance this time are "Dvorak the Czechoslovak" ("Humoresque #7," Dvorak) and "Wow What a Wedding Cake" (Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mendelssohn). Few stabs at mixing education with entertainment succeed so well. As a bonus, the second half of the CD repeats the symphonies straight up, presenting a neat opportunity to quiz kids 5-12 on what and who they've just heard. --Tammy La Gorce

Open Question: What would you do about this incompetent lawyer?
My husband began filing for bankruptcy 4 years ago in 2005 (before we even met). He started the process with his lawyer. We met in 2006 ang got married in the early part of 2007. I knew that he had filed bankruptcy and we both thought it was done with. Shortly after we got married he received something from one of the creditors seeking collection on the account. At that point we contacted his lawyer to find out why we would have received this and to verify that the creditor was included in the bankruptcy. Turns out that it wasn't final. We wrote him another check to file some more paperwork and never heard anything from him. Called him several times and finally set up an appointment which got canceled and rescheduled several times. He claimed that he did not file the paperwork with the correct address and it got kicked back. Then in the Spring/Summer of 2008 we get a letter from the Bankruptcy court saying that it has been dismissed (the case, not the bankruptcy) meaning that there was something wrong with the paperwork again. We scheduled an appointment and after several go-rounds of canceling and rescheduling my husband is going in today to meet with him and get to the bottom of this. I have gotten a complaint form from the MS Bar Association to file a complaint with them, however should I wait until all is said and done with the Bankruptcy? Or should I do it now? It is just ridiculous that after paying to have this filed...4 years later it's not done! Not following up? Did you read the part where we kept scheduling appointments and he would cancel them?! Lol I don't get all decked out in a formal dress or anything, even though I do wear summer dresses like from Abercrombie and UO, Forever21 to school I like to dance so thats a bad idea lmaoo. But I always have to wear a great fitted pair of jeans, does not have to be skinny unless I'm wearing a flowy top but preferrably dark wash. And flats usually cuz its a dance you have to look hot! My hair would be all curly and wavy for a change, since its usually straightened. My makeup would be cute. Do you girls dress up for these themes dances and to regular, casual dances what do you like to wear? btw I'm 8th grade, well thanks<3 and sorry for the long question! I'll try not to stress haha... love dances, but all these themed dances are really annoying like last month I had to spend like $300 on this princess dress for a fairytale one, ugh. its not like they'll yell at us if we don't dress up (more...)

Open Question: Madonna "Sticky & Sweet" Tour?
Who went & saw her live? Do you know that she broke the record, her "Sticky & Sweet" Tour 2008 is now the biggest selling tour in history?! Even bigger than Michael Jackson's "History" World Tour of 1996-97. Anyway, I believe this year Madonna's releasing a DVD of "Sticky & Sweet" Tour, the final show, which she performed in Sao Paulo, Brazil. So don't 4get 2 go buy that, I know I am! And Warner Bros. is gonna release a Madonna greatest hits CD package this year. And then she's gonna start releasing stuff on the Live Nation label. I still haven't seen her films "Filth & Wisdom" and "I Am Because We Are". Anyone know if they'll be available on DVD? Oh yeah, plus she's modeling for the Spring 2009 Louis Vuitton Collection.
