La Crosse Technology WS-8117U-IT-AL Atomic Clock with Remote Temperature
When is a clock not just a clock? When it provides so much more than just the time: temperature, phase of the moon, and accuracy within one second per year, for example. This handsome wall clock, with its dual LCD screens and black-accented brushed aluminum finish, is an example of household life being enhanced by science. The WS-8117U-AL can hang on the wall or stand freely, with a built-in, fold-out stand. Radio-controlled time (to the hour, minute, and second) and date are prominently displayed, along with indoor and outdoor temperatures measured in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The day of the week can be displayed in English, French, Spanish or German.

Moon phase shows in twelve increments, from new moon, through gibbous and crescent phases (waxing and waning), to quarter and finally full moon.
The clock comes with La Crosse wireless transmitter TX37U-IT. Clock and transmitter each operate on two AA batteries. For options in wall mounting, three screws and screw anchors and a strong adhesive tape are included. The WS-8117U-AL measures 12-1/4 by 8 by 1-1/4 inches. Open Question: How do I get rid of alerts that I am not signed up for?
I am 8 months pregnant and do not appreciate getting 3 weather alerts at 6:15 every morning. My account does not list them so I can't cancel the stupid things. I tried to email yahoo and they referred me here. Idk what kind of sick joke this is but after I emailed them yesterday, I got 5 alerts today... 3 at 6:15am and 2 at 4:15am!! I am not pleased whatsoever!! I'm about to call Verizon and see if they can block the #@!$#!@ things.

Open Question: How do I fix the location for Yahoo Weather to send to my mobile?
I'm having difficulty trying to set up Yahoo Weather alerts for my cellphone. It keeps saying to:
"To set up a Weather alert, you need to select cities from weather page."
I keep choosing my location but whenever I go back to the page, it shows up as "to set up a weather alert, you . . . ."
anyone know how to fix this?

A winter storm brought blankets of snow across Europe today, forcing the closure of an icy Eiffel Tower in Paris and causing flight cancellations.
Up to 10 centimetres of snow was recorded in parts of France. Most areas, including Paris, got around half that amount.
French authorities issued traffic alerts in around 30 regions because of icy roads.
The Eiffel Tower, one of Paris' main tourist attractions, was closed because of slippery conditions.
A dozen flights were cancelled at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport.
The Paris airport authority says bad weather in other parts of Europe contributed to the cancellations.
In Germany, heavy snowfall snarled road traffic and flight delays and cancellations at the country's international airports.
Germany's National Weather Service is forecasting subzero temperatures for the coming days as well.
