Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor Thermometer, Blue
Oregon Scientific RM313PNA Self-Setting Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor Thermometer, Blue Housed in high-tech blue plastic, this alarm clock is far more sophisticated than its cute appearance may lead one to believe. Whether you check on the time by consulting the clock's LCD screen or by looking at a large red-light projection of the time beamed onto a wall or ceiling, you'll know it's accurate. That's because the clock is equipped with a radio receiver tuned to the U.S. Atomic Clock, and keeps time with split-second accuracy by automatically adjusting, if necessary, to the Atomic Clock's signals six times every 24 hours. From those signals, the 5-1/4-by-4-1/2-inch clock (2-1/2 inches thick) not only shows the precise time, but also displays the date and day, with automatic adjustment for daylight-saving time and leap year, according to the North American time zone for which the clock is set. (The day can be shown in English, Spanish, or French.)

The red-light projection makes it possible to check the time without squinting. If the clock is in battery mode (two AA batteries required but not included), pressing the clock's snooze bar will beam the time onto the ceiling for five seconds--and also backlight the LCD screen. If the clock is plugged into a wall socket with an AC adapter (included), the projection and backlighting will be available either for five seconds with the snooze bar or continuously if a continuous-beam control is set. As a backup, you can set the time, day, and date manually as well as automatically. --Fred Brack

Oregon Scientific Talking Blood Pressure Monitor
Oregon Scientific Talking Blood Pressure Monitor This innovative talking blood pressure monitor helps two users keep their blood pressure in check. It also reads mean arterial pressure as well as pulse rate. Each user receives 60 memory worth of readings plus date and time stamp. The BPW810 features voice announcement and playback of blood pressure measurements for added convenience and has been designed to provide you with many years of reliable service. Readings are equivalent to those obtained by a trained observer using the cuff and stethoscope auscultation method. This product uses the Oscillometric Measuring method to detect your blood pressure. Before every measurement, the unit establishes a "zero pressure" equivalent to the air pressure. Then it starts inflating the wrist cuff to 180mmHg or higher until it senses that it has blocked your blood in the artery. After that, the deflation process starts, during which time the unit detects pressure oscillations generated by beat-to-beat pulsatile, which is used to determine the systolic, mean and diastolic pressure, and also your pulse rate.

Lawn & Patio:  Measure and track the following metrics -
    *Systolic pressure
    *Diastolic pressure
    *Mean arterial pressure
    *Pulse rate
*Historic record of up to 60 measurements per user (maximum 2 users)

Open Question: What are a few good leg workouts?
I've been trying to get in shape to join the tennis team at my school, but I have been told that the sport would be easier and more enjoyable if my legs were more muscle and less... well, fat. So, does anyone know a few good ways to work out the legs and gluts? I prefer something that I can do at home, because I refuse to walk or run in forty degree weather... I'm also worried that I may be getting cellulite in my thighs, so any advice on how to rid myself of this would be helpful. (more...)

Open Question: 2 months to get in shape, any advise?
alright, in to months (end of February, beginning of March) my family is going Mexico. both as part of a family vacation, and also as my mom's honey moon. until then I am really preparing because I want everything to be perfect. I wanna get contacts, make sure my teeth are nice and white, get my hair done.. blah blah blah. for all of those things I know what to do. But there is one big major thing i need some desperate help with. I need to get in shape. Now before you go giving silly advise, do read the details below. read them carefully and give me advise that you honetly think will help. I am not a retard and unlike most people my age I have done real research. I am 16. I have a heart murmur that prevents me from running for long periods of time, it ends up feeling like iron bars tight around my chest. I also have damage to my dominant hand so activities that involve it being flat, like push ups, or griping, like pull ups, are out of the question. I am NOT lazy. I have a 14 foot trampoline which I love jumping on, though in -40 weather I cannot it is way too cold. but I can land a flip and jump for a long time. play dance dance revolution on workout mode and wii sports. I do sit ups (though I am sure I am doing them to fast, I can do over 300 in half an hour). Here are the things I have started doing: using the exercise bike resumed sit ups, but slower those things I think they are called step ups where you step up then down then up then down on something. eating breakfast (a few months ago, it helped only for a short time but I am continuing it) stopped snacking at night, which ties into the next one since my common snack is bread cut down on carbs (I love white bread way to much I know for a fact carbs are one of my biggest problems) started drinking only water. today I had a packet of instant oatmeal for breakfast, a cheese sandwich for lunch, and a chef salad for dinner. and water. this isn't some sort of diet, its just what I eat I DO NOT: smoke drink eat things like chips, pizza, popcorn. I don;t like them and I don;t snack too much. I will not take advise that involves money, or things I cannot to at home. I am far from rich, and do not drive. I live on a farm, so I cannot walk to any facilities. The only way to do something is through my mom and she works 6 days a week and is often to busy or tired or cannot afford your advise. please respect that. I do not add salt to my food, I do not add sugar to cereal. Do not give me advise on how much I should weigh, I have done my own research and know that an ideal weight for myself is 135lbs, and that is pushing it! why you may ask? because I am 5'5, have a very sturdy bone structure and a large chest. I have weighed 140lbs before. and less than 135lbs and I would have to have no muscle, and my bones would be showing. I can easily feel my rib cage and count every bone as it is. What I want is people in maybe similar situations to give advise. preferably women who are around the same size, just because I know that men and women lose weight differently and that the more you weigh the easier it is to lose weight, so some weighing maybe 200lbs who now weighs 170lbs would lose it easier, so its not really helpful to me. I want to know WHY I am not losing weight. and yes I have been trying for a long time now, and yes, I know I need to keep eating. don't give stupid advise please. A few things I should mention is 1 I have been told I retain water. and 2, my hand does not go flat at all. so sit ups are impossible sorry, not sit ups, I can do those, push ups are impossible (more...)
