Open Question: Is it possible to Backpack throughout Oahu, Hawaii?
This is going to sound lame, but I'm a LOST enthusiast, and huge backpacker. Last summer I backpacked all around Colorado, and it was great. But I wanted to bring my big backpack, tent and sleeping bag and go backpacking around Oahu. But I was wondering if it was too developed to really have a good time backpacking through the forest? Also is there still enough non-harvested nutrition growing to live off the land?

Open Question: What level skier am I? What kind of boots?
I know theres not really a standard skiing level guide but heres how I ski (on colorado/utah/tahoe slopes)
Ive been skiing for 9 years(since i was 6) about once a year for a week
I can ski pretty much all black diamonds with ease. some that have big bumps i hafta kinda slow down on and my turns arnt as confident and quick
Ive done some double blacks. they challenge me. but double blacks vary a lot. some i have a lot of trouble linking turns on because they are sooo steep, bumpy and treed. others i can ski pretty confidently
i would love to take a parks/pipe class because i pretty much suck in the park. i can jump small jumps but thats pretty much it
Ive heard some people say they are level 7 skiers and i was just wondering what level i am and im kinda looking for some boots
i like k2 skis and ive had some good soloman boots. do they work good together?

Resolved Question: Traveling in the car with my cats?
I have two cats and will be taking them with me on a move to Colorado in a few months. We will be driving, and the trip altogether will be around 20 hours in the car, but we will stop overnight in a pet-friendly hotel. They do well in the car on short trips, but have never been more than about 2 hours in the car.
I am wondering what the best set-up is to keep them happy and safe. I have an SUV, so I was wondering about trying to set up a barrier of some kind to let them be loose in the back, but not free to move into the front of the car (like people do for dogs). Has anyone ever tried this? Is there a product that works for cats?
Other suggestions for the best way to move them safely?
