American Road Trips: Montana Idaho Wyoming
American Road Trips: Montana Idaho Wyoming Host Steve Fox visits four western states in 55 minutes in this video guide first aired on the Travel Channel. First up: 20 minutes in Montana. In that brief time, viewers meet a poet/novelist, bookstore owner, and filmmaker who are all part of the art scene in Missoula. Then there's the Deer Lodge blacksmith shop, a chat with Blackfeet Nation leader Curly Bear, and bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and grizzlies in Glacier National Park. Next, Fox takes viewers to Idaho's Sawtooth Mountains, the Snake River, and a potato museum. A hop over to Wyoming is next for a gander at the famous geysers of Yellowstone and a "cowboy pancake" breakfast in the wilderness of the Grand Tetons. Finally, the crew heads west to Washington, where they take in Seattle's Pike Place Market before heading off to the San Juan Islands, Olympic National Park, and Mt. St. Helens. Along the way, rangers, shop owners, and cowboy poets make the case for why their spots merit a stop. Because Fox shows you a little bit about a lot of places and because he tells you exactly what roads you take to get there, this series is more for the actual traveler than the armchair counterpart. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Adventures With DiG
a documentary that takes place along 1800 miles of the Continental Divide Mountain Bike Route. Filmed over a period of one month in the summer of 2008. With nothing more than a bike, a trailer, some cameras, and a little food, I abandoned Montana and headed for Colorado.Zero training and very little experience makes for a funny film. The views are breathtaking but so are the hills I find myself pushing my gear up!
Unlike most nature, adventure documentary films, Adventures With DiG takes the viewer on the real trials and tribulations that go along with filming a outdoor documentary. The entire documentary if filmed and narrated, en-route by me. Tent camping is the formal hotel on the GDMBR, and all food was carried in a trailer attached to my bike. Adventures With DiG is Candid look at the GDMBR.

This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

Voting Question: Essay On Political Reasoning?
i have to write an essay about politics and this was the topic i had to write about it was the futur of america with obama and the 2012 election. Is this good. I thank you for you time. My name is Taylor *******, i live in *** *****, **. I am curently 13 years old. Assuming Obama's economic plan is a success, And that Obama continues to maintain a positive image for himself as a great reformer, And assuming that his challenger for re-election is Sarah Palin, Here's how I think the 2012 election will play out: Obama: Re-elected with 506 electoral votes Palin: 32 electoral votes. Obama will carry 45 states including DC, Palin will carry the 6 remaining states: Alabama (9 electoral votes) Wyoming (3 electoral votes) Utah (6 electoral votes) Oklahoma (7 electoral votes) Idaho (4 electoral votes) Alaska (3 electoral votes) Now, this is assuming Obama carries Texas and much of the Deep South, which usually goes Republican. However, analyzing the 2008 election results, McCain carried these states by a much narrower margin than many of his predecessors, which means that, if Obama actually succeeds in fixing the economic crisis, improving foreign relations and strengthening our nation, and with a lot of the same grassroots campaigning that won him states like NC and VA in 2008, he could carry TX, GA, MS, LA, KS, etc, hence winning by my predicted [optimistic] 506-32 margin. Or, Palin could carry TX, whose electoral votes would have by then increased from 34 to 37. It would still be an Obama landslide 469-69. And even giving Palin the rest of the Deep South (LA, GA, MS, SC) It's still 430-108. Throwing Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and West Virginia into the Republican column still gives Obama a respectable 400-138 victory. Or, the economy could tank even further and we'd end up having a president Palin! xD ..god, I hope not. Well, there you go. That's my prediction. Discuss. (more...)

Resolved Question: How does a state become a state ? Does its people have to request statehood ?
The first thirteen states were Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island . The other thirty -- seven states came slowly . Vermont became a state in 1791, Kentucky became a state in 1792, and Tennessee became a state in 1796 . As far as the nineteenth century is concerned, Ohio became a state in 1803 and Louisiana became a state in 1812 . Indiana became a state in 1816, Mississippi became a state in 1817, Illinois became a state in 1818, Alabama became a state in 1819, Maine became a state in 1820, and Missouri became a state in 1821 . Arkansas became a state in 1836, Michigan became a state in 1837, Florida and Texas became states in 1845, Iowa became a state in 1846, and Wisconsin became a state in 1848 . Later on in the nineteenth century, California became a state in 1850, Minnesota became a state in 1858, and Oregon became a state in 1859 . Kansas became a state in 1861, West Virginia became a state in 1863, Nevada became a state in 1864, Nebraska became a state in 1867, Colorado became a state in 1876 . North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Washington became states in 1889 . Idaho and Wyoming became states in 1890 . Utah became a state in 1896 . As far as the twentieth century is concerned, Oklahoma became a state in 1907 . New Mexico and Arizona became states in 1912, and Alaska and Hawaii became states in 1959 . Why did any of these terrirtories become states ? Did our elected officials wake up one day in 1850 and say "Why don't we make California a state ?' or did they wake up one day in 1959 and say "Why don't we make Alaska a state ?" . Does the individual terrirtory have to request statehood ? The people of Utah must have wanted statehood mighty bad . Our government might grant statehood to several territories within a short time . Indiana became a state in 1816, Mississippi became a state in 1817, Illinois became a state in 1818, Alabama became a state in 1819, Maine became a state in 1820, and Missouri became a state in 1821 . That's a state a year for six years . By the same token, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Washington all became states in 1889 . Our government might also go for a long time without granting statehood to a territory . There was a long period of time between the time New Mexico and Arizona became states in 1912, and the time Alaska and Hawaii became states in 1959 . NOW -- does Congress have to decide to grant statehood to a territory ( "Why don't we make Arizona a state ?" ) ? Does a territory have to request statehood ? Thank you in advance for your answers . Resolved Question: I've lived in southern CA since 1989 and have never caught a fresh water fish here what's so different here?
I've been fishing in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana never had a problem catching fish any of these places. I've tried many times in southern California with no luck. Are these areas in southern California that over fished? Or maybe doing something wrong. I have lived in Temecula all this time and only tried the lakes around here. I use worms and a wide verity lures don't matter no fish. I'm very confused at this time. (more...)

Resolved Question: Why won't these eight states pass Jessica's Law?
Idaho, Illinois, Wyoming, Colorado, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Hawaii and of course Vermont. For those of you who don't know what Jessica's Law is, it's a mandatory prison sentence for anyone who sexually molests young children. I'm not surprised that Illinois is on the list. (more...)

Resolved Question: Searching for small foresty town in Wyoming or Idaho?
I'm writing a book that takes place in a SMALL town (population about 3000 at the most) in either Wyoming, Idaho, or a place like that. I want the town to be a real place, and I'm having trouble finding one. There has to be lots of woods and forests in/surrounding the town, the more nature the better. I'm thinking an old town but with modern things like a movie theater, town square, etc, but probably no shopping malls. Maybe a funny place, home of something that would seem lame to most modern teenagers like "The World's Biggest Ball of Twine" or something, but that isn't a criteria. Thanks for your help! (more...)

Resolved Question: Which political party is more corrupt; the Democrats or the Republicans?
Ok, lets count the ways. Both the Democrats and the Republicans have three pedophiles apiece lol. On the Democrat side you have Barney Frank, the Governor of New Jersey, and the last Governor of New York plus the current governor of New York who replaced him; the blind man who has had sex with girls he's not married to. On the Republican side you have the Representative from Virginia who was doing something homosexual just as Barney Frank (maybe the same boy lol) and a Senator from Idaho. The Democrats have lots and lots of crooks. The governor of Illinois, former governor of New york, the Black representative from New York City who is cheating on his taxes, the Black Representative from a Southern State who keeps his bribe money in the refrigerator, the liar we just elected President Barack Obama who is a stranger to the truth and soon will have lots and lots of scandals under his name. Oh,the Republicans have one Senator Stevens of Wyoming. (more...)
