Students' Guide to Colleges: The Definitive Guide to America's Top 100 SchoolsWritten by the Real Experts--the Students Who Attend Them

College guides are a must for any teenager trying to choose the right school. Unfortunately, most guidebooks are vague, boring tomes written by administrators and journalists, instead of the real experts–the college students that actually go there.
Students’ Guide to Colleges is different. Entirely student-written and edited, this invaluable resource cuts through the cant with comprehensive listings of the vital statistics and requirements for America’s top 100 schools accompanied by three totally honest, fresh, fun-to-read descriptions penned by attending undergrads from different walks of life. Want to know how big classes really are? How rigorous the academics get? Or how greek or granola, chill or up-tight, homogenous or diverse, gay or straight, a campus really is? Lively, irreverent, and insightful, the
Students’ Guide to Colleges is the only guidebook that offers multiple perspectives on each school and tells it like it is so that college applicants can make the best choice when deciding where they want to spend their college years.

Open Question: Is that possible to transfer in last year of college?
I am a sophomore in college. The following spring 09 semester will be my 4th semester in the college that I'm currently attending to. Right now I am thinking about transfer to the other college in the future. Since the tuition fees of all the schools that I am thinking to transfer to are quite expensive, I think I will not to transfer until my senior year of college. However, I am not sure if I can do that since what I've heard is that most people transfer in their junior years. Could anyone know or familiar about this kind of issue tell me if it is possible that people can transfer to the other colleges in their last year of college?

Open Question: Colleges.....Please HELP!!!!?
Okay, I'm a 17-year-old senior, with a 3.5 GPA. I'm involved in many extracurricular activitys, including DECA, National Honor Society, Student Council, etc. I'm currently taking 4 AP courses (getting A's in 3 of them). I got 580 in Math, 690 in Writing, and 610 in Critical Reading on the SAT's (580 in Literature, and 590 in Math 1 on the SATSubject tests), and I've sent everything (application, essay, fee waivers, transcripts, 2 to 3 letters of recommendations per school to NYU, Boston College, Northeastern University, UCONN, Northwood University, Johnson & Wales, St. John's University, Hofstra University, and Post. I just got accepted into Northwood, and they're offering me a scholarship. At first, I was excited, but then I did a little research online, and found that people had many negative things to say about the school (like crime, quality issues, reputation). I want to know if any of this is true (from anyone who attends or knows about it). Also, what are my chances of being accepted into any of the other schools I listed, specifically NYU, Boston College, and Northeastern. Thanks a lot :).
I'm also 29th out of 485 in class rank.
