    Open Question: What is wrong with my computer?
    So here is the deal with my custom built pc. The last thing I was doing on my pc before I started having this problem was burning videos onto DVD-Rs and surfing the net. The pc boots up the BIOS but every time right before Windows loads up it shuts down. I already replaced the ps and the same thing happens. I've disconnected all IDE drives and all cards while leaving just the primary hard drive and same thing. I tested each memory stick one by one and same thing. I even put in a new SATA with no windows on it just to see if it doesn't shut down...same thing. There is no way I can run any diagnostic testing because the PC shuts down. I can't even load Ubuntu/linux off a live CD because it will shut down. My mobo is Abit ip-95, nothing special but I don't need much. Could it be a bad mobo? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.     My Windows Live messenger window puts itself ontop of all other applications, including chat windows. It is really annoying. I use Messenger Plus! I used a custom skin at the time the issue started to occurr. I reverted back to normal skin but the issue persisted. Any idea how to make the Windows Live Messenger windows act like normal windows, and not put itself ontop of everything? (more...)

    Open Question: MY worst nightmare came true! ?
    I was passing through an intersection; when the light turned green, i accellerated [legally of course, it was my right away] when this chic in a dodge ram 1500 runs a red light and smashes right into me, luckily i avoided being T-boned; and all the damage was purely to my body on my back right quarter panel. [it was raining, so thankfully the damage was impact was lessened.] Now, my mustang is a '67, and from what i understand these older mustangs rear quarter panels, and roofs are one big piece? How can i repair the dent/panel without having to use bondo? i don't think it's a dent that can just be pulled, it's pretty ****** up xD.. I've had a lot of people suggest cutting the quarter panel at the weld-point [ends at the corner of the trunk, and begins somewhere near the quarter-window] and weld one from another mustang onto it. Is this something that's a viable option? How much would this cost me? this mustang isn't something that can be scrapped as it's got a 302 from a '68 fastback, custom made lake-pipes [exhaust pipes on the side of the car, similar to Shelby cobra's] Air shocks, and a custom stereo system in it, not to mention all the custom suspension work i had done on it. So what options do I have? what can i do? what would be cheapest? i absolutely REFUSE to put bondo in my car, i'd rather scrap it than lay bondo on it anywhere. I have geico, and due to the fact the car is 41 years old, my insurance told me that no matter how minor the damage may be, their system wants to automatically mark it as totaled/salvage. (more...)

    Open Question: How does one do custom car/truck dashes, door panels, etc?
    My nephew wants me to help him put his amp and speakers into his 89 chevy s10. I've done speaker work and amp work before, but he is asking something new of me. He wants to put the speakers in his door (which of course isn't straight forward because of the window). I don't really want to make a big gangly wood enclosure, and looking around the web I notice all kinds of custom dashes, door panels...all sorts of really neat stuff. How do they do that???? Is there a place you can go and say "this is what I want," or do they just know so much that they somehow mold plastic themselves to fit what they want??? I would really really like to make my nephews truck the hottest in this one horse town, if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it!! (more...)
