I'm tired, and woke up, but I'm excited to go to a small part of the city, having a huge store of manga. I'm gonna go all out and shop my manga. Last night, I broke my glassees. I forgot that I still had them when I went to bed. I woke up to having both frames broken. Please copy and paste 1. I want the RAIDERS to either trade the #7 overall for a pick in the 20's, or somewhere in the 30's. Mostly because I'm thinking of Cap space, and because I think this years draft will be loaded in the 2nd- 5th rounds like 08's draft. If Michael Crabtree is still available I would think twice and maybe a couple of more times. I think the Raiders receivers are promising (minus Javon Walker) despite the horrible season on their behalf. Im pretty sure the extra picks could land the RAIDERS a couple of Offensive linemen, LB's, and a wild card WR like Darius Heyward Bey (6'3 and I really want him in a RAIDER jersey), Brian Robiske (because of his hands and 6'3 frame), or Percy Harvin for obvious reasons (The kid will be a star). The Raiders need O-L'S, OLB (opposite Howard), MLB (to complement K.Morrison when in 3-4), D-Linemen period!!! Kelly was a huge waste of money, Sands is garbage, and If they decide to keep Burgess a DE opposite him would be great. What do you think?? Keep in mind Asomugha might not be a Raider next season, If Al D does what I think he will Asomugha will be wearing a Raiders jersey. We all know how that goes though, Al D doesnt do anything logical. I did read in the Oakland Tribune a couple of days ago that if the Raiders do decide to sign Asomugha to an exclusive contract and some other team wants him, that team would have to hand the RAIDERS two 1st round picks. Personally I would rather have Asomugha..... Also I don't think anyone is safe on the RAIDERS squad including the conductor of the offense J.Russell... Yep i do Antwaan, and it ain't pretty even now. The only sounds penetrating the amphitheatre were the creaks of the floorboards and the thud of footsteps as the four men and women gathered around one microphone. The tallest man parted from the group and approached his audience, his muscular form framed in black by the unnatural contrast between the artificial day and the true night. He tugged at his collar and fingered the top button of his wool suit before taking the microphone off its stand and turning his face to the seats: the lights accentuated the red cuts streaked across his chin and the black, tangled mess of hair resting on his shoulders. ?Ladies and gentleman,? he began in a rich, full voice, ?I was preparing to speak to eight of you, not five hundred.? He raised his hand to indicate the young men sitting in the aisles and the teenagers crammed behind the seats. ?But you deserve to know who the Council appointed to protect this region from the Incidents which have successfully destroyed forty towns, here and neighboring countries, in the last seven years. A teenage girl hiked up her brown skirt, revealing her bare feet and mud-spattered ankles, and jogged to Kihote?s side. He darted toward the center, took a running leap from the stairs and landed on the center of the stage. Kihote caught him by the shoulders and whipped him around the face the front. ?Most,? Kihote continued, ?I love most of my team. This is my son, Tomay, also a Runner.? He was a pathetic Runner, thin and short for his fourteen years. A white haze clouded his left eye and his pupil drifted lazily in its socket. But this Tomay, also known as "the fleabag," also known as "Flea," had rather extraordinary tricks which allowed him to walk into the heart of the forbidden danger zone and walk away without a shattered body. The audience knew this, Kihote knew that the audience knew, but he made no effort to indicate that this boy was anyone unusual. He released Tomay. "I don't have much else to say," Kihote admitted. Behind him, Gale shoved her apple into Nikko's mouth and Tomay tackled him around the waist. Gale and Tomay matched all of their strength against Nikko without a clear winner as the trio wrestled across the floor. "Ladies and gentlemen," Kihote said, "I present to you the defenders of this region. They have my full confidence." School swim team starts around Valentine's Day (Feb 14th) and I'm gearing up to get in shape for it. I got a pullup bar for my door frame (the kind that can be taken down for pushups, situps, etc.) and I'm planning on going to my gym at least three times a week to swim laps. I'm a 15 year old girl, sophomore, and I swim on a team during the summer so my body is used to it.. at least when I'm in shape. Any advice on what exercises and stuff I should do within the next couple of months to not completely pass out during practice? I'm in the process of writing a story, and I wanted to get some feedback on it! =) It wouldn't be enough to just give you all the first page, so here's a summary (even though it's kinda long to call a summary, haha. Oh, and the events are much more spread out and detailed in the actual story) I know it looks long, but please read it all! The story starts off with Anna Clark (full name Annalise; main character; story told from her point of view) on a bus back to her old town, a small community of farms, a farm supply shop, a grocery; the kind of place where everyone knows everybody. She's staying with her grandparents, grumpy old Lydia and clueless but warmhearted Gramps. Previously living in the city a year ago, she is forced to move back after her parents were murdered by a man with a gun. (don't back out yet, the story isn't all depressing!) Upon arriving in the town, she takes a short tour to see if anything has changed. Amazingly, someone has built a large mansion in the tiny farm community, but Anna overlooks it, assuming that it's just an old, rich man with nothing better to do. At the end of her "tour", Anna drops by her dad's friend's farm supply shop (friend's name = Tom Silverton). There she learns from Tom's son Nick that the mansion is actually the home of the Othello family, and that there will be a party there the next day. (note: Nick was Anna's boyfriend before she moved, and the two promised to get back together and attend the same college after completing high school. When Anna and Nick reunite, she tells Nick that such promises are "childish" and "unnecessary". Their relationship problems will tie in later) Anyway, the next night Nick takes Anna to the mansion party and she slips away to explore the huge house. She finds herself in the mansion's massive library where she discovers the Othello's son and heir to the family business, Asher Rei Othello. As Anna befriends the reclusive Asher, she learns that his parents are actually divorced and he is living with his mother and step father. As they become even closer, Anna reveals to Asher that her parents were murdered and the name of the man who did it. The problem? The murder is Asher's real father, Samuel Ridge (sentenced to death)(Asher's mother and step dad changed his last name to Othello to avoid him having the last name of a murderer). Because of this, Asher keeps to himself and avoids opening up to anyone but Anna. But Houston, we have another problem... unbeknownst to anyone but himself, Ridge was framed. He's the only person who knows the real killer, but no one is allowed to visit him in prison. Can Anna, Asher, and Nick figure out the identity of the real culprit, before Ridge's time is up? Anna (sixteen)convinces Asher(seventeen) and Nick(sixteen) to team up with her to look into the case, but with both boys after Anna, teamwork is the last thing they're looking for. So that's the summary! I tried to make it clear and not too packed with unneeded details, but the plot is kind of complicated... -What can I improve on? -Is this something you would read? -Please keep in mind that I'm typing this summary up at 2am, haha =) -This is my first story that I'm really serious about writing, please try not to smash my hopes if it's not the best thing you've ever heard of. -If you have questions about the plot that would help you critique it better, please ask and I'll update this question to answer it for you! know it's kinda long but please read and answer. Ill give thumbs up to every answer and 10 points to the best one. So if I ever did write a whole book, would you ever consider reading it based on the character descriptions? And I'm open to suggestions about other characters to make? The book is about freshman kids who realize that high school can change a person and that friendships don't last forever. That not everything is like the movies, and cliches are only made for TV. Their stories are revealed throughout the book. Spencer Jerry, a 15 year old girl who people secretly envy for her exotic beauty is five foot five, very thin(due to a secret eating disorder she struggles with), has straight long jet black hair with a streak of blonde in the front. She's naturally tan and has a "Punk" laid back style. Even though Spencer is pretty, she doesn't act like it, for she is not self centered. She's very calm and is friends with everyone due to her witty and fun personality and is known to make everyone smile. Spencer knows that she can get any guy and feels she needs a challenge. Later on in the book Spencer makes a bet with her friend Cady that she can get any girl to like her. Cady, thinking that she'll win this with flying colors, agrees to the bet. Spencer goes on and wins the bet by getting Tara Morgan to kiss her. After the victory, Spencer soon realizes that she actually did feel something when she kissed Tara and is confused as to whether or not she likes girls. Spencer then goes on with life thinking that what she was going through was just a phase, but soon finds out it's anything but when she sees "the new girl". She falls quickly to think she's in love with the new girl, but only time can tell how spencers feelings will unfold. Spencer doesn't tell anyone though, for she knows being gay is greatly frowned upon in her community. Cady Renolds, a 14 year old girl, is best friends with Spencer although she is very different from her. Cady is an inch taller and has a naturally built body frame but is not fat. She has pale skin, blonde hair, blue eyes, and is known to be the "typical american" She is quite boy obsessive even though she's never really done anything with a guy besides hugging. She's fairly smart and tries to follow in the steps of her sister Carmen who is the most popular senior in school. Cady has a "preppy" style. She goes through life acting care free but honestly cares about every single detail in her life. Early on in the book, Spencer grows tired of Cady due to the fact Cady always cares about her appearence and overly obsesses over the male race. They soon make up which results in "The Bet". A week after Spencer wins the bet, Cady walks home from school to find Spencer spying on Carmen getting undressed . Cady is in complete shock and questions, "What the hell are you doing?" In which Spencer looks around in fear, shrugs, and replies, "I think I'm...gay." Spencer then confesses to Cady that she has true feelings towards girls which started after she won the bet which leaves Cady depressed feeling like their friendship was a lie. Tara Morgan is a 15 year old female who is open about her sexual orientation. She is known as "The Lesbian" of the school but has no problem with it. She has shoulder length dark brown hair and has a bubbly personality. She falls in love with Spencer Jerry but finds out Spencers feelings towards her aren't real and were just a result of a bet. After finding out, she goes back to being home schooled and is rarely ever mentioned again. Miranda Wise is 16 year old girl who has failed the ninth grade. Being given the nickname the "new kid", she's 5 foot four and has shoulder length hair that is dyed a reddish color but has a faded pink tint to it. She has a lip ring, and a star tattoo on her lower stomach. Spencer sees miranda and falls quickly in love with her although they have never really talked before. Miranda tells everyone that she has transferred to this school to "Get a new start." and "Start her freshman year again in a new school." But the truth is that she was kicked out of her old school for a drug addiction which she never tells anyone about at her new school. Her secret is soon found out when Spencer goes to a group addiction center for her obsession to be thin and spots Miranda there in the drug addiction group. Ben O'Connor is 15, tall, and "Every girls dream." He's on the varsity football team and likes Cady. After hanging out a few times, they get into a deep conversation which Cady reveals that her best friend, Spencer, is gay. Ben secretly finds this attractive and asks to meet Spencer. Cady introduces them and Ben is determined to get Spencer. After ditching Cady for spencer, Cady thinks spencer is trying to steal Ben from her. Resulting in another fued between them. Now that Cady knows spencers secret, will she reveal it to everyone? (more...)
