It was a total accident, a stray jumped our fence and we didn't even know he had got her until she recently started getting fat! So, I think she is getting close, but she's an indoor/outdoor dog so she's dirty, should I give her a bath? Also, I don't know when she got pregnant because it was just a freak thing that we happened to see another dog jump over the fence out of our yard so I don't know when she is due.(We didn't even know she was in heat.) She has had her milk about a week now I think, I'm starting to worry, I thought she would have had them by now...any advice?? I do know, I'm getting her fixed, I didn't before because I thought it was not at all possible for her to get preg. since she never left our backyard!! Now I know!! First of all-She started getting chubby at the start of winter, so I just thought it was winter weight, then, we realized that she was really gaining while we were on a 2 week long vacation, which she was with us on. We just got back. We didn't know she was in heat because she must have just started, she was inside all night, and then she went outside for her morning romp and that is when it happened. ALSO, I DO keep her clean, I was just wondering if she needed to be cleaner, like they make everyone sterile in a delivery room. AND she only spends about an hour or two a day outside! I DO NOT ignore my pet by leaving her outside all the time like some people. I DO have an appt with the vet on Saturday, but I had spare time to bathe her tonight, just thought I'd see if it was okay by asking someone on here but you are all judgemental idiots!!! (more...)

Ok, Guys I need to loose a little weight. My goal is about 10-15 pounds. Max is 20. Im 12 and turning 13 this year, and I weigh about 150 For starters, what should excersising activities should I include when excersising on my excersising bike? iThought of a few: Jumping Jacks, Sit ups, and Jogging on the spot. 1: Have any other activities I should include? 2: What are some excellent examples of what I should eat to help me. 3: Should I even be worrying about this stuff so young? 4: Is my weight normal for my age? 5: Does skipping rope everyday for 20 minutes work? I had 2 cats and the older one passed away a few months ago. Both cats used the same cat box no problem. I just adopted a 1 year old cat from a friend, and the cat is supposedly housebroken, and had previously been an indoor/outdoor cat (now just indoors). Since I got her, she has used the cat box, but almost every night goes poop in the kitchen sink, and also sometimes pees on our tile floor, as if just to avoid using the cat box. I clean the box every other day, and it isn't that full. I have tried leaving aluminum foil or water in the sink, but she still tries to go in there. I've also left her closed in the bedroom with me at night (where the box is) but she'll just cry and scratch at the door until I open it. If I catch her in the sink at night, I get up and yell at her and squirt her with a water spray bottle, but she just keeps doing it. Besides this pooping problem she's really great, so I'd hate for this to be a deal-breaker, but its extremely unsanitary and has got to stop. I don't have room for another cat box, and my 2 dogs will eat out of it if its not elevated. Someone please help!! The cat does/has used the cat box regularly to pee, but seems to hold her poops to go in the sink. Sometimes she does it overnight, and then once more in the morning for good measure. I know she knows where to go, but she's being very stubborn about doing it in the box. Angie, it seems I've tried most of these things. The cat box is kept clean, is very accessible and private, but not near where the cat eats or sleeps. I've switched to multi-cat litter and the box is large with a large dome cover. I tried leaving aluminum foil and water in the sink, but she still tries to go in there. I've also yelled at her and sprayed her with a squirt gun when I catch her in there. Yeah, the problem with adding a litter box is i have 2 dogs that love to eat cat poop, so the litter box I have is in the only available elevated space I have available. I dont know where else I could put one. Maybe I can try cleaning it daily and remove the lid, but I dont know if that would help. (more...)

Now I'm finding out that it's totally different and all the girls on the team are more experienced than me cause they've been playing for two or three weeks. I joined late. I need to know everything or a lot about indoor soccer please.. We have 2 lab puppies that are 5 months old. They have an indoor crate that is 3 feet by 4 feet and have no problem getting in it although we do not crate them. They also have an outdoor kennel that is 6ft X 6 ft which we keep them when we aren't able to watch them. They are free to roam the house during the day when we are gone (but recently started clawing and digging at the walls.) Today, while in the kennel I decided to bring the used dog igloo, that came with our house in August, to clean up and put in their kennel. I thought it would be nice for them to get in since it is cold outside and we were planning on keeping them outside during the workday because of the recent wall damages which we had fixed today. While I was dragging the igloo up through the yard, the dogs started going crazy. They cowered into the corner of the kennel, and the laid back dog jump on the other one and tried to use his back as a stepping stool to get over the kennel. I have no idea WHY they would act this way as I've never initiated using the igloo before yet they were petrified. Why would they act like this? (more...)

Some people say the best way is to potty train just outside. Others say to get newspaper for when they need to "go" and I'm not around. Are puppies really that clever? Do they think "Oh! She's not around right now to open the garden door for me, so I'll just go on this piece of newspaper" I haven't used a crate (mistake?) so my poor little puppy, 14 weeks, has to pee on the kitchen floor at night. I have a canon digital rebel XSi/450d and I now have the 18-55mm kit lens and I ordered a 50mm 1.8 ll.... I ordered the 50mm 1.8 as an indoor lens because of its speed since Im not really a fan of flash and I want to capture indoor moments in natural light and without blurr! especially candid/kid shots.... now Im wondering since I have not been exposed to other lenses, on a scale of 1-10 Id like to know the 'image quality' (sharpness, contrast etc.) of my 18-55 lens and the 50mm 1.8 lens...with 10 being the quality of the adored L lenses. Then I am thinking of getting the 70-300 for street/outdoor/nature/candid/sports/portraiture/walkaround all done mostly mostly outside so I am not too concerned about the f/4 but I am curious about the image quality of this lens on the same 1-10 scale. and what kind of quality does the 18-200 have? cause Im wondering if I should go with the 70-300 and have three lenses that cover pretty much the focal ranges and apertures im interested in WITH good image quality...or sacrifice 100mm but consolidate my 3 lenses to 2 (since id sell my 18-55 if i got the 18-200). I am also under the impression that the 18-200 has somewhat poor image quality compared to the 70-300 since its new and the range it covers is just huge....so of course image quality and lens performance is my top priority! and price of course :p (more...)
