Barney - Sing and Dance with Barney
Barney - Sing and Dance with Barney For those who can't get enough of those Barney songs, here's a made-for-video show packed full of song and dance. The story line is oh-so thin as Barney and his friends sing 27 songs in only 56 minutes, so Barney is usually singing or introducing a new song. For anyone who has been watching the decade that Barney has been on the airwaves, most of the songs are Barney standards: "Mr. Sun," "The Airplane Song," "Baby Bop Hop," and "I Love You." They are mixed in with all-time favorites "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "A Camping We Will Go," and the like. Many of Barney's original kid friends return looking much older and wiser. No big landmark production here, just a "greatest hits" of Barney tunes that should have fans singing and dancing around the tube for nearly an hour. --Doug Thomas

Open Question: Entertainment Arts Boarding school In Ny 7th grader or younger up to 12 grade?
Yes umm I am a 13 year old 7th grade student living in New York and am looking in to enroll in a boarding school. The boarding schools main focus I would like to be entertainment arts (music, instrument teachings, professional dance teachings, acting , and singing) that would be for grades 7th grade or younger up to 12 grade (in New York) I prefer mixed gender schools not single gender. Also I?m sure this goes needles to say (but just in case) they must also include the main academic classes (science, math, social studies, language arts) and I?m sure the school would have varied types of programs in these categories. I would enjoy for the school not to be to strict.. I would not like to be constantly watched over and would like to have free time. and to have a large campus. I understand this is a lot to ask and if this boarding school happens to be in a state closely surrounding New York that is also fine. Please list all the schools you know of that fit all or many of these standards and possibly a website link. Thank you Also: These questions are probably absurd based on the standards iv listed above but if it could be a "public " boarding school or a school that doesn?t have extremely high standards (although I?m sure I could reach those) that would be amazing. If they have high standards send me the information anyway I?m confident I will be able to reach them More importantly, a school that doesn?t have EXTREMELY high costs is a issue. My parents can afford a pretty high cost, but they aren?t filthy rich. One again even if the school has extremely high costs please do send me the information. Thank you! (more...)

Open Question: is it legal to have blue neon/el wire inside a car?
I know its not legal for exterior blue lights (or red ones) but what about the interior, even if it can be seen through a window? I am wishing to subtly add a purple el wire around the base of a casket bed in a hearse, for a nice ambient glow... These would of course be partially seen through the windows, would this be a legal issue or not? Furthermore I am looking to have adverts playing on my headrest screens, these will surely be seen by the outside world (the idea for me!) but is that a problem as well? Of course kids watch their dvds and games throughout the night on many car entertainment systems while their parents are driving around. This surely cant be illegal if other cars and such can see the lit screens? **the headrests are of course facing the rear from behind the front seats - i wont be watching while i am driving. I am based in the UK, with UK laws** (more...)

Resolved Question: Running away: Isn't it just ridiculous?
I've read so many topics on this section of teenagers asking if they should run away, or move out, or if they can move out at their age. They have no clue. They can't seem to comprehend the issues when it comes to leaving the nest. ?Running Away: Please explain to me how running away will solve your problems, instead of making things worse? ?The move out age normally is 16. But it depends on your state/province. ?Want to move out? Instead of focusing on the freedom issues and not being under parental control, think realistically. ?Attending school: Do you realize in this decade College and University is very important. I use to think it was only important if you wanted to be rich, so I didn't bother. Now that I'm living out on my own with my boyfriend, we've both come to realize how hard it really is. The most we can get paid without having a 'real' education is $14/hour. And trust me, that isn't a lot. ?So if you did move out, how would you expect to work full time to afford your place and finish high school to move on to College/University. ?Did you consider all the bills you have to pay. Here are my bills; ?(2 Bedroom Apartment-Everything Included) : $1005/month (But we needed $2010 down for first month and the deposit) ?Apartment Insurance: $16/month ?Phone/Internet/Cable: $160/month (We also needed $60 flat fee for connection) ?Cell phone (2): ~$120/month ?Car payment: $200/month ?Car Insurance: $168/month ?Gas: ~$150/month ?Groceries: ~$400/month This isn't including entertainment like a movie, out to dinner or clothing. Nor does this included possible vet bills if one of my animals gets sick. And if we have a car problem, boy are we in trouble. You also might have to consider a moving truck. Depending on the distance the new place is, it could be from $45 up to a couple hundred. And then if you have no funiture or kitchen ware, you have to put that in account too. I started buying all my household stuff at 16. I didn't end up moving out until 19, but I still didn't have everything. We had to cough up another $600 to buy things like a microwave, plates, a vacuum and so on. Plus the little stuff like toilet paper, womens products, soup, cat food and so on really add up. What I am saying is that most of these kids have no idea how easy they really have it, and don't put any of this into account. You have to be realistic and consider EVERYTHING. ?€·??€·??€·??€·??€·??€·? Question time: Do you ever remember a time when you considered 'running away'? Why did you want to? What made you change your mind about 'running away'? If you did 'run away', how did that turn out? When you first moved out, how old were you? What took you by surprise the most? What bill did you not really consider when you decided to move out? ?Kelly H: What is 'hgj' suppose to mean? ?Leah <33: I know. Someone I knew was asking a friend if she wanted to run away with her and they could get an apartment and so on. She really believed $100 would be enough for a couple months. She had zero common sense. ?sparepillow: I understand some kids are sexually abused, I was. But how would running away solve it? They would have no place to go, no money. The best thing in that situation is to call the police. That way it stops, and that sicko won't hurt another child. Plus, then a family member or social services would help you with shelter and other needs. ?Lucky mummy of 1: I'm not failing to realize anything. If you CAN do it, then by all means, go for it. I'm just saying that there is teen after teen talking about running away or moving out, and they don't really have any idea. I'm generalizing on how running away won't solve a single thing, and when it comes to moving out, they don't really realize all the bills. They don't realize how working full time and having our own place is nearly impossible. You need at least 2 incomes to get by. Kids just focus on the freedom and being their own boss. They don't truly see the whole picture. ?newsoul in a strange world <3: Again, how would running away solve your problems if you were getting raped and abused? I never said staying put and keeping your mouth shut would be best. I told 'sparepillow' the same thing. If you're in that situation, you call the police, social services, someone. You don't just run off. Your parents can call the police to find you, and then you're right back where you started. Running away wouldn't do anything. You'd just be homeless and hungry. A lot of kids who do this, end up literally walking the streets for money or food. How on earth is this better? Sounds worse to me. http://stopsexwithkids.ca/app/en/ You're just another kid who can't see the whole picture. ??mm??: What are you on about. Why did you quote me? And you didn't 'run away', you took a break. I'm talking about kids who pack a bag, get on a bus and go somewhere and have nothing. No place to sleep, no food and so on. You just went to a friends. And no, I don't earn lots of money, but we can afford a baby. At first it was hard living on our own, but now we're financially set. Plus, when I was talking about how little a person can make without going to College or University, or even finishing High School, I was saying it is almost impossible to afford a place on your own. We have 2 incomes. Again, I was talking about the KIDS who barely left grade 10 and are talking about moving out. In this day, you need two incomes. Next time you want to 'bash' me, try and think like an adult about what I'm saying. ?MissyDoo: I extremely disagree with your statistics. And, it's nice to see a kid who actual had a plan about the running away. Overally, in your situation, I think the maturest thing would of been to call the police or Childrens services. I find it ammusing how you said "you have no idea". I was molested from the ages of 12-15.5. I lived with a very alcholic, verbally abusive, drug addict step parent. Did I run from my problems? No, I took them head on. No, I didn't do something right away cause I was scared, but eventually I figured out the right thing to do. To call the police, get him away from my siblings, me and my mother, and get over it. But running away, wouldn't of done anything. He would of still hurt other people. ???Blue Eyes??: Why are you getting so hostile? I gave you thumbs up for your answer, and I didn't even quote you. I never directed "You're just another kid who can't see the whole picture" to you. If you looked, it was to 'newsoul in a strange world <3'. I'm definitely regretting 'thumb up'ing you. (more...)

Resolved Question: What is the best way to clean my laptop?
I received a new laptop for Christmas. Even though I am ecstatic, the laptop is causing a few issues. I am a self-diagnosed OCD (TOTAL CLEAN FREAK). My laptop is a complete magnet for uncleanliness. The keyboard, within a few short days, builds gunk on it! I am strict about my electronics, so I do not eat around them. It just slowly builds up. The whole thing has a really nice shiny enamel surface... which attracts fingerprints. Not only does that laptop gather (AHH!) filth, but the screen does too. It's a nice high-def wide screen awesome display and... well don't get me started. I've tried electronic cleaning cloths, these cleaner wipes, and even some good ole windex on a paper towel. The latter of those I shall never do again. I wash my hands profusely before use and during use and now carry around these special laptop wipes, which do nothing. Does anyone know of anything that can "magically" clean it? I wipe at it and clean it and after an hour or so of use it reminds me of a kid who just got done from a mud bath. I have one of these> http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=Entertainment+powerhouse&series_name=HDX18t_series < If it helps. Voting Question: Animes & mangas with a strong, powerful, brave woman/girl as the main character?
I am NOT looking for characters! I need names of animes or mangas. Please tell me that TYPE your suggestion is like. Type1: ---------------------- *Main character is a scary bi**h who calls all the shots, often greedy. *Has a prettyboy sidekick; usualy dumb as a rock &/or has a mousey personality. *Prettyboy sidekick has a crush on crazy heroine, but never gets to tell her because of her advanced attention deficit disorder, selective hearing, & love of listening to herself talk OR she's just not interested in him. Examples: Gokusen, Cho Gals!, Vampire Game, Slayers, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, & Master of Mosquiton 99. Type 2: -------------------- *The Heroine is sort of emotionaly bankrupt & doesn't really respond to affection. She's really down-to-earth, almost boring, & not sickeningly over-femanine. *Is surrounded by hillarious boys who like her, & all of them are crazy & have bizarre issues. Examples: Ouran High, Juubei-Chan, Kino no Tabi, & Vampire Princess Miyu. Type 3: ------------------- *Tomboys. Girls who just prefur Shounen entertainment. Not at all dainty or delacate, unless trying to fake being girly. (You know I'm talkin' 'bout Konata, Tenma, & Sakaki). *Is either uninterested in a relationship or is actively persuing a very strange guy who barely knows she exists. Examples: Lucky Star, School Rumble, Utena, & Azumanga Daioh. Type 4: ------------- *No-nonsence all-girl teams who risk their lives every day & fight for a living, or hunt for stuff in dangerous places. *The best of this type were made in the 80s & are Shounen series. Examples: Gunsmith Cats, Dirty Pair, Rune Explorers, & Bubblegum Crisis. Blood sucks. Evangelion Sucks. Furi-Kuri (Fooly Cooly) sucks. I can't choose between Ally =p & Catalyste. Help me vote! Resolved Question: Michael Jackson, might need new lungs, he already lost his vision in one eye of his eye's?
UPDATED. (Dec. 22) -- A day after writer Ian Halperin's shocking claims that Michael Jackson was in need of new lungs due to a respiratory disease and is also nearly blind in one eye, a spokesman for the King of Pop is shooting down the allegations. The statement, attributed to Jackson's "official and sole spokesperson, Dr. Tohme Tohme" and issued by Los Angeles firm Scoop Marketing, cites an interview with writer Halperin in British newspaper the Sunday Express in which Halperin said Jackson was suffering from Alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency. "The writer's wild allegations concerning Mr. Jackson's health are a total fabrication," the statement said. "Mr. Jackson is in fine health and finalizing negotiations with a major entertainment company and television network for both a world tour and a series of specials and appearances." Halperin claimed that Jackson "needs a lung transplant, but may be too weak to go through with it." He also claims that the pop legend "has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping." FoxNews.com's Roger Friedman, however, quickly claimed the new reports were "extremely exaggerated." Friedman says his Jackson source told him the King of Pop "is just fine, playing with his kids, and living large in a house he can't afford in Beverly Hills." "Concerning this author's allegations, we would hope in the future that legitimate media will not continue to be exploited by such an obvious attempt to promote this unauthorized 'biography,"' said the statement attributed to Tohme. Jackson, 50, one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, began his musical career with his siblings in the Motown group the Jackson 5 and went on release such hit solo albums as "Thriller." (For evidence, go onto the AOL home page.) QUESTION: Do you think, Michael Jackson, will survive? (more...)

Resolved Question: The charger tip for my HP Pavillion Entertainment PC Laptop broke off in my computer. What can I do?
Laptop was purchased three months ago at Circuit City with a protection plan. Now, Circuit City says they will not cover repair as Protection Plan does not cover physical damage, only damage inside machine. Would I need accidental insurance coverage to cover physical damage? How can I get this piece out? Do you have experience with this type of an issue and how much do you estimate it will cost me all said and done to get this back to normal? Thanks! (more...)

Voting Question: Any ideas for an animal rights presentation?
I have a presentation to give to my gr. 12 World Issues class in a few weeks and my teacher wants us to make sure the class gets involved. I'm presenting the two sides of animals rights (ie. that animals deserve rights and that they don't). I'm having trouble coming up with ideas to get the other kids involved and/or interested. For example, a classmate of mine is presenting genetically modified foods through taste testing apples, regular vs. organic. The subject has a lot of potential, considering animals are used for food, scientific research, clothing and entertainment. Any ideas? Anything said, however far fetched, could spark other ideas, so anything could help. Thank you everyone!! :) (more...)

Resolved Question: How do I say no to a friend who spends too much money?
I have a friend who periodically asks to borrow money. It is usually several hundred dollars. It is usually two or three times a year he needs the money. He always pays the money back so that is not an issue. The issue is that he is living outside of his means. He refuses to live on a budget or cut his spending saying he needs to go out or go on vacation or get this item or that. Then, when the bills come, he does not have enough to cover it so he turns to me. I know from talks with mutual friends he goes to others as well, but I seem to be the one he comes to for large amounts. To give you an idea, he will ask for money, and then want to go out to dinner and spend 15 bucks. When I say something, he says he has to eat. I have said no to him in the past and he comes back with creative ways to get the money. He asks for smaller amounts over a period or says he will pay me back this much at this date and then this much here. The one time I gave him a full no, I felt horrible. I did not give him the money but I still felt bad. I do not make a huge amount of money but I make enough to get by and live on a budget and am very careful to save. I have never given him money that I need for bills or entertainment. He usually gets money earmarked for savings so I do not feel anything when giving him the money and since he always pays, that's when that money goes into savings. So I only lose the interest, but I am helping him so I figure the trade off is acceptable. I do feel like I am enabling his bad spending habits by bailing him out when he needs it. I also worry when I give him the money that I might need it, especially since I am about to buy an apartment and will probably have no extra money to give for a long time. So I guess the question is, How do I stop this without hurting him? Please do not say to just tell him no, I tried that, but it is hard to say no when he needs the money and always pays it back.
