So my mother and I recently found out that my biological father had a son with his first wife. He never mentioned him to my mom, but one of his friends found out. I'm not interested in finding my jerk of a real father, but I am curious to find my older brother. My real fathers name is Jay Robison, his wife's name was Sally, but I'm unsure if she took his name or not, I'm assuming she did, I'm not sure of her sons name. Any help would be appreciated! My daughter is 30 years old. She drinks a lot. She also abuses both over the counter drugs and prescription drugs. For the past 2 years she has been involved in an abusive relationship but long before that she built a history of one problem after an other that always requires rescue, with each one progressively worse. She has often called for help, in the form of money, in order to leave but after receiving the money changes her mind. She has had her boy friend, an immigrant from Russia, charged with spousal abuse in the past. Last week I found that she was in jail after she called the police and her boyfriend told them she had hit him in the head with a beer bottle. She was released on bond and told to leave the house. We made $2,000.00 available to her and her brother from 1,800 miles away made the trip during the New Years Eve, Day and Day after to collect her furniture. My husband and I set her up in a hotel room to await her court date in Feb. Also my daughter quit her job the day after she got out of jail. On New Years Eve her boyfriend totaled his Lexus DWI. This morning I received a phone call that my daughter attempted suicide by taking all the medications she had and washing them down with a bottle of Vodka. Apparently she has been over at her boyfriend's house for 2 days now, drunk. He wanted her to leave and she attempted suicide. I just talked to the hospital where she is at and though she has been there 6 hours she is still unable to communicate enough for evaluation. There is no family in Kansas City or State. Actually, the only family she has are her brother and sister who both live on opposite coastlines and both don't want anything to do with her any longer. I really can't say I blame them at all in their decision regarding this. I pleaded with her to get a passport 5 years ago because I have moved to France with my husband. She still doesn't have a passport although we have sent her the money for that on 3 different occasions. I am not able to walk without the aid of crutches due to a bone condition in my left ankle. Last August I was scheduled for surgery for my foot/ankle which will be next week. I do mind canceling the surgery and not being able to walk for another year, but I will do that for my daughter sake if necessary. I can't bring her back to France though since she has no passport. I can't stay in America where my husband does not live. I could go back to be with her until her court date, but that seems all I will be able to do. I would like to hear options about what I might be able to do. (more...)

There are three guys. 1st guy is a church buddy that's liked me for 5 years now, 2nd another church buddy that I am head over heels for, 3rd out of state guy that really really likes me. What do I do? 1st Guy- I only see him as a brother in christ nothing else. I can't see myself dating him. He is a really nice guy but he's just not my type. And he's liked me for 5 years now, he said he's been trying everything he could to get me out of his mind but it doesn't work. 2nd Guy- I've liked him for 3 years now and i told him but he likes this other girl who has a bf already. I asked him if he likes me or will ever give me a chance and he said he doesn't know. We text eachother everyday but the more i get to know him i feel that he is not the right guy for me. But I still really like him, he gives me butterflies whenever I see him. 3rd Guy- He really likes me like really, we text here and there. He always wants to call and talk to me but I don't like talking on the phone much so I never talk to him. I'm not sure how I feel about him, my feelings for him always change. Sometimes I'll like him but then sometimes I just wish that he would stop waisting his time on me. I told him already that I like guy #2 but then he keeps saynig he will wait for me. Plus I guess the reason a I don't want a relationship with him is because we live too far from eachother. I live in MN and he lives in Kansas. I Dont Know What to Do please give me some ADVICE. My house was involved in the floods of last march. I came onto yahoo answers and asked why we havent heard of anything going on with our buy outs as of January 2009. Every response I have recieved is "You dont deserve it, you moved into a flood zone and now you want to ask the tax payers to help you? Pay for it yourself." If somebody moved to Kansas and a tornado tore there house to bits, would you tell them "To bad, you moved to tornado valley. Pay for it your self." Or if someone moved to Florida and their house was ripped and blown away by a hurricane would you say "Oops too bad, you moved to the ocean, screw you, pay for it your self." You unpassionate jerks. In the local news paper, somebody said "Why should we have to pay for these people's mistake. They knew they would get flooded, why should I help them?" I know it must suck paying taxes to help othere people, but would you rather have them spend it on crap like a new road over one thats barely a year old itself, or a something else as stupid as most of the suff tax dollars pay for. Or helping people who are living in help houses or in the basement of their sisters or brothers. Families who need help that you just said screw you to. The funny thing is, is you'll pay for it anyway, you just wanted to show your anger at it and upset alot of people, who are down all ready. I know every human on the planet is in a hard spot right now but think of it this way, we lost our house, we lost many of our possesions, and some lost family members. Thanks for being uncompassionate in a time when we need compassion in the world. It's people like you that the world doesnt need. Thanks. P.S. I just got out of middle school my self. (more...)

I know that to be hired as LEO is extremely competitive. Currently, I am wanting advice on how to make myself a better candidate. I am currently a freshman attending college for a degree in criminal justice with a minor in spanish. I am also enlisted in the Army Reserves as a 25U (Signal Systems Support Specialist). Once I graduate college I am wanting to attend OCS (Officer Candidate School) and be a Officer in the Army Reserves. After that, I am wanting to be hired with a Police Department somewhere in the Midwest. My first choice of department would be one in Kansas or Oklahoma. While in college I am planning on obtaining a part-time job and holding it for a long period of time. Is there a type of part-time job that would be more impressive than another. I was considering retail. I will probably also try to get experience in the CJ field during a college internship. Also, I was going to get involved in at least one volunteer agency, probably Big Brothers/Big Sisters or something similar. On top of that I have been keeping in excellent physical shape. I have no convictions and only have one non-moving traffic ticket. Are here any type of college clubs or anything else I can do to increase my chance of being hired by a Midwest Police Department.
