Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the "circle of life" with some new friends and eventually comes back to reclaim his proper place. Characters are very strong, vocal performances by the likes of Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Whoopi Goldberg are terrific, the jokes are aimed as much (if not more) at adults than kids, the animation is sometimes breathtaking, and the music is more palatable than in many Disney features. But be cautious: this is too intense for the Rugrat crowd. --Tom Keogh

We all know the story--the wicked stepmother and stepsisters simply won't have it, this uppity Cinderella thinking she's going to a ball designed to find the handsome prince an appropriate sweetheart, but perseverance, animal buddies, and a well-timed entrance by a fairy godmother make sure things turn out all right. There are a few striking sequences of pure animation--for example, Cinderella is reflected in bubbles drifting through the air--and the design is rich and evocative throughout. It's a simple story padded here agreeably with comic business, particularly Cinderella's rodent pals (dressed up conspicuously like the dwarf sidekicks of another famous Disney heroine) and their misadventures with a wretched cat named Lucifer. There's also much harrumphing and exposition spouting by the King and the Grand Duke. It's a much simpler and more graceful work than the more frenetically paced animated films of today, which makes it simultaneously quaint and highly gratifying. --David Kronke

Yeah I know this question has been asked a lot ha ha. My dog is a Labrador called Angel. I feed her and I pat her/play with her when I see her. I would love it if she followed me around the house because I get lonely. When my Nana comes to stay Angel follows her around the house all day but she didn't use to do this until recently after my other dog died. Ok today at school I had a horrible day. I have been wanting a girlfriend so freaking badly for like the last year now, and it is also my New Year's Revolution to get a girlfriend, but the girl I had a crush on I found out now has a boyfriend which now I'm p!ssed off at her boyfriend. I just feel all alone in my life it's horrible. Nothing good has happened to me since my dad died in 2005 (When I was 11) and also my Grandpa Died in 2007 (When I was 14) I have no friends (Outside of School) and I have come to realise that all that members and age group of my own gender will do is make fun of me or use me, or call me things like dumb, fat, loser, gay, retarded etc, so that is why i have come to realise i can not socialize with guys my age, so because of that I only socialize with girls in my age group, which i love to do because i am the only alive male member of my immediate family and the closet male member of my family is either one of my uncle's or my three cousins, but they all live about 40 Miles from me and i see them only like one, two, or three times a month, so I don't realy have any male role models in my life. I am not gay and I love and adore girls, and i hate most men. The point is I have never had a girlfriend and I have been single my entire life and it's so lonely and sad and boring, I hate it, and I can't stand it, which is why I need and am trying to get a girlfriend. I just pray to god that I get a girlfriend as soon as posible so I can be happy in life again. Do you think that i will find a girlfriend about me i'm 15 going on 16 and i'm 6'5 and I'm in 10th Grade. I've become tired of my parents always overprotecting me and not letting me go out - not even to the park! Right now I'm on Winter Break, and I was planning to be able to hang out with my friends alot, but it's can't happen because my parents won't let me go out of the house. My brother goes out everyday though and he walks on the streets alot, and he's only two years older than me (I'm 14 he's 16). While they let him do about everything, I can't even walk to the corner to go to my friend's house, which is only about 4 houses away.
