I had this dream last night, the dream I was getting ready for a date. We were suppose to meet at 8:30.I was applying my makeup and i noticed something wrong with it . While fixing my hair it came out of the pins several time. The dress kept changing, I ll put one on and then look in the mirror and the wrong one was on me, i had to change dresses at least 4 times. while driving i got pulled over 2wice by the same cop. I feel I'm beautiful one day, and ugly the next. I love to look in the mirror, but I hate what I see. I have acne, oily shiny skin, I wear glasses, my teeth are spaced, and I have a sort of African-American nose (It's not as huge as some people's, but it's bi enough for me to wish I had a different nose.) I find it hard to just be who I am. Like, I constantly change my avatar, but I can never make it look like myself. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm afraid people will judge me different if they read my questions knowing that I'm African American, so I make my avatar white. On top of this, I hear girls grow up to look like their moms, but I think my mom is ugly. I know it's wrong, but out of all of my aunts, she's the ugliest one. She has acne, her face is shiny, her hair is thin and looks like crap, her nose is huge, and she is super hairy. She shaves her upper lip and chin, has hair up her belly button, and between her boobs. My dad and brother constantly tease her for being fat. I don't want to look like her. I want to be MILF-hot when I'm 40 like all my neighbors. I am strongly considering getting a nose job as a graduation present for myself. I feel like I need a flatter stomach all the time, and I want to wear makeup really bad to cover my blemishes, and make me look more beautiful. People have called me ugly before, and even though I tell myself I'm beautiful, and I've been called pretty by some people before, I can't get myself to feel like I am. Why do girls have such low self esteem? How can I boost my own self esteem? Am I a bad daughter for thinking my mom is ugly? Just because I have acne doesn't mean I don't wash my face. I hate the way people think that! I wash my face twice a day, and use prescription products from my doctor for my face!!! Who said I didn't dress well? I can actually say with confidence for one thing, that I am extremely well dressed. I look in the mirror and call myself beautiful all the time. I'll think it, but I can't totally convince myself of it. I'll start thinking I'm pretty, then I'll think about how I'll never be as pretty as some other girls. None of my friends have acne as bad as I do, and they all have non-oily skin. Lots of the girls I hang out with get asked out on dates, but I don't. My mom does complain about being fat and ugly. She tells my brother and I that we are attractive, and that she's glad we are because she is unattractive. She calls herself fat and ugly all the time. The scary thing is when I was a baby, I looked like my dad, and as I age, I am starting to look more like my mom. Plus, both my parents have facial hair, and hair all over everywhere else, so I probably will too, if I don't have even more. okay so sometimes i think, weelllll i know that i look really terribly ugly..but other times i think i actually look decent...but that only has to do with the lighting of a place...but still sometimes i cry because of how ugly i know i look :/ my nose is kinda ugly and it's like red and my cheeks kinda are i guess and when i blush usually at school.. along with my cheeks my nose gets soooooo red it looks like i have freaking sunburn.....aaand along with that i waxed my upper lip to get rid of the hair but in doing so it made it light yeah thats just a liiittttle bit embaressing. and i have NO confidence/self esteem whatsoever..when i walk around school i walk with my head down so people don't see my face :/ and when i look at pictures of when i was younger...my skin was perfect and yeaah. and i see other girls that are so perfect and gorgeous and i think why can't i look like that? and i can't wear makeup cuz my mom won't let me so....i don't know what to do and i can't really gain confidence...because i know i'm ugly because i look in a mirror and there's no denying that the face looking back is not pretty or atractive in any way...at all. yeah and i don't really know what to do...ohwell :/ kay rant over. srry it was soo long... hi, a couple weeks ago i had been in the store and saw that bare minerals was on sale and after hearing a lot about it i decided to buy it. all the advertisements i saw claimed it makes it look like you don't have any makeup on and gives you a smooth flawless look. i don't have bad skin, and maybe get one or two pimple a month. normally i don't wear any foundation or cover up, i just thought i'd give it a try. i put the smallest amount on and i ended up looking in the mirror and my face looked cakey. also when i touched my skin it felt like the makeup was thick and a little oily. also after i washed it off i noticed my skin started to breakout. did anyone have similar results with this? okay so i really don't like wearing that much makeup, except when i'm out at night havin fun. well, this guy i'm dating and i went to this bar with his friend and gf one night. I don't usually wear that much eye makeup, but i did on this occasion. I don't usually like to wear it because when i'm out partying i seem to end up looking like a hellish tramp by the end of the night. so...we are sitting at the table and i get this overwhelming urge to rub my eye, and i rubbed it and pulled my hand downwards on my face. it wasn't until I looked at my hand and saw all the damn makeup that i realized i had probably smeared black makeup all over my face. holy sh*t.... So i mustve looked like an idiot and I ran to the bathroom and of course it's crowded with drunk girls around the mirrors, and I had to stand back with my eye covered til I could get to a mirror. I looked garrish...It was horrible. I have light skin, so it isn't that bad, but the "peach fuzz" all over my forehead makes the two waxed areas of my forehead stand out!!! My makeup wont cover it and waxing the rest of my forehead won't solve anything. I was thinking about getting bangs, but that is on friday at the earliest. What are your opinions? I don't have a fragile ego, feel free to be brutally honest. =] I had always been a selfish person. Though I was always aware of everyone?s problems, I never cared enough to help solve them. Instead I offered brief, empty sympathies before immersing myself in more interesting activities. Things that may not help anyone, but they made me happy for the time being. Most people that ever came in contact with me mistook my selfishness for a sensitive soul ? troubling things must have brought me down so much that I couldn?t bear to expose myself to them for too long. ?CADENCE!? I grimaced as I heard my father?s irritated bellow escalade up the stairs and through the open door to my bedroom. I turned the book I was reading facedown on my bed and peered into the mirror that consumed the entire wall standing opposite me. I took in my polished appearance: Pin straight, pitch black, layered hair that spilled over my shoulders, nearly reaching my belly button, gray eyes that stood out dramatically against long, thick black lashes, a smooth, pale complexion, small pointed nose and chin, slim figure that supported a fashionable top, straight-legged jeans and yellow flats. ?Cadence! You?re going to be late!? As if on cue I heard a car pull to a stop on the street next to the house. One glance outside of my window confirmed that it was the cab sent for me.
